Island Of the Fishmen (L'Isola Degli Uomini Pesce in Italian), also known as Screamers, is an Italian Horror Movie by Sergio Martino.
In 1891, a military doctor named Lieutenant Clause de Ross (Claudio Cassinelli) washes up on an island in the Carribean Sea with a handful of convicts. Soon, the group discovers they aren't alone. The island is populated by a race of murderous Fish People who will attack and kill anyone they see.
Of course, they aren't the only ones on the island. They soon find themselves in the abode of one Edward Rackham (Richard Johnson), who reveals that the fish people are in fact descended from the original inhabitants of Atlantis. He's been using a woman named Amanda Marvin (Barbara Bach) to give the creatures developed by her father, the biologist Professor Ernest Marvin (Joseph Cotton) to have the fish people dredge up relics from the ruins below the island.
However, Claude and Amanda soon discover that there's more going on than they know.
The movie was released on January 18th, 1979.
Island Of The Fishmen contains examples of:

- Evilutionary Biologist: Professor Ernest Marvin. The Fishmen are the result of his experimentation into creating a species that will replace humans at the dominant species on Earth after humanity has gone extinct.
- Fish People: The titular Fishmen are gigantic bipedal human-fish creatures. They were the result of Professor Marvin's research into creating the next dominant species on Earth for when humans have gone extinct.
- Hollywood Natives: The natives of the island working for Edward Rackham look like this
