Lavender: The Paper Dolls are the band I'd hope would rise above the bullshit and make it...Guess not.
Down And Out With The Dolls is a 2001 local Portland film following Fauna, Kali, Lavender, and Reggie as they come together to form The Paper Dolls, an all-girl band trying to make it big through all the drama and partying.
All stars include; Coyote Shivers as Levi, part of a band named The Suicide Bombers, and the object of Kali's heart and Fauna's manipulation; and Lemmy as Joe, a man living in Fauna's closet. He's homeless.
Down And Out With The Dolls provides examples of:
- The Alcoholic: Alcoholly, to the point it's her nickname.
- Butt-Monkey: Mulder. Often picked on, put down, or taken advantage of by almost everyone around him.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Fauna met Joe in a bar and gave him a place to live in her closet.
- Only Sane Man: Lavender. She is the most calm and collected of everyone and mostly trying to keep the peace while telling the tale.
- There's No Place Like Home: Kali wants to go back and settle down in her hometown of Woodburn. One of her songs reminisces on her childhood there.
- The Stoner: Reggie, so much so she brought her bong to a photoshoot.
