Deep in the Valley (also known as American Hot Babes in the UK) is a 2009 Romantic Comedy written and directed by Christian Forte, and starring Chris Pratt, Brendan Hines, Scott Caan, Rachel Specter, Kim Kardashian, Denise Richards and Christopher McDonald.
Lester wins a vintage porn-video booth that sends him and his friend Carl to an alternate porno-flick dimension filled with sexy ladies. They are immediately arrested by two sexy cops but later manage to escape the Deep Valley Police Station and end up at a sorority. They are brought there for a reason and cannot return to their own dimension before figuring out that reason.
Tropes in the Valley:
- Ass Shove: Finding Lester strapped to an examination table, Suzi shoves a sphygmomanometer cuff up his ass and starts pumping.
- Batter Up!: Rod Cannon smacks Carl over the back of the head while swinging a baseball bat around Daphne's room. Rod doesn't notice.
- Cat Fight: Carl is locked up with two female prisoners who start wrestling with other: the fight being accompanied by the sound effect of cats fighting. As he is trapped in a porn movie, this turns into them pulling each others' tops off and making out.
- Chairman of the Brawl: On entering the examination room and finding Lester being tortured by Suzi, Carl grabs a folding chair and knocks her out with it. Later, Lance is about is about to hit Lester with what appears to be the same chair (parodying the lack of budget in porn films), Carl snatches it off him and knocks him out with it.
- Cowboy Cop: Rod Cannon is a parody of the sort of cowboy cop one would expect to find in a porn movie. Lampshaded when Diamond Jim asks him exactly what crimes Lester and Carl have committed and Rod cannot answer him.
- Crash in Through the Ceiling: Diamond Jim sends Carl and the video booth back to the real world with a click of his fingers. They appear in real world above Carl's house and smash in through the ceiling of the living room. Later, Carl is laying in bed when he sees Lester on TV. Lester snaps his fingers and Bambi disappears from the screen. A few seconds later, Carl realises the significance of this and rolls off the bed just before Bambi smashes through the ceiling and lands on the bed where he had been lying.
- Curtain Camouflage: Lester and Carl hide from Rod behind the curtains in Daphne's room. The curtains are lace and don't conceal them at all, but due to the Trapped in TV Land reality they are trapped in, Rod doesn't notice.
- Dangerous Key Fumble: While he and Carl are fleeing from Lance and Dick in the gymnasium, Lester attempts to unlock the door to escape but breaks the key off in the lock.
- Dressed Like a Dominatrix: Suzy Diablo is dressed like a dominatrix despite ostensibly being a cop. As the protagonists are trapped in a porn movie, it is implied this how she dresses in every movie.
- Everyone Is Armed: Lance and Dick chase Lester Carl into Busta Nutt's party and pull guns on them. then everyone at the party turns round, pulls out a weapon, and points it at them. Including one girl who pulls a bazooka from behind her back.
- Extremely Short Timespan: Tracy tells Carl he has been missing for two days, indicating his time Trapped in TV Land was the same as the real world.
- Fair Cop: Trapped in a porn movie, Lester and Carl discover that all of the Deep Valley Police Department are this. Lampshaded when Carl even questions if the revealing tops, very short skirts and Combat Stilettos can be regulation uniform.
- Fanservice Car Wash: When Lester and Carl arrive at the sorority house, several of the sorority sisters are washing their cars in this way. It then segues into an impromptu Wet T-Shirt Contest.
- Fingore: While trying to escape from the sorority house, Carl slams the sash window down on Lester's fingers.
- Genre Savvy: Because of his immense porn collection, Lester knows most the characters and locations in Deep Valley, including facts like the sorority house has a disused attic.
- Girls Love Stuffed Animals: Ditzy blonde Daphne's bed is completely buried under a pile of stuffed animals; to the point where the bed is not visible.
- Groin Attack: Upon arriving in Deep Valley, Lester is kneed in the groin by one the Fair Cops arresting him. This sets up a Running Gag of him being hit in the groin—often multiple times in succession—as he attempts to get laid.
- Hero Stole My Bike: While escaping from the police, Lester steals a pizza delivery car and then a pool cleaner's van while their owners are making a Pizza Boy Special Delivery.
- Hospital Hottie: Every staff member of Deep Valley Hospital. Justified, as the protagonists are trapped in a porn movie.
- Luke, I Am Your Father: Lester and Carl go to Diamond Jim's pool party where Carl decides to get transported home and Lester decides to stay. It is revealed that Lester is Diamond Jim's son.
- Mistaken for Pedophile: Lester is on the phone to a sex line at work and pauses to yell at kid leaving the store at an unfortunate moment:"What do I like?"

"FUCKING SIXTH GRADERS!"

"...What?...No! I didn't mean..." - Pizza Boy Special Delivery: As the protagonists are trapped in a porn movie, they see this happen with both a pizza delivery boy and a pool cleaner. On both occasions, Lester takes the opportunity to steal their vehicles.
- Put Their Heads Together: Lester and Carl are being chased through Diamond Jim's mansion by Rod and Suzi. They are desperately opening doors and keep stumbling on porn scenarios. They open on that leads on to a empty porn set. While they are peering through the door, Suzi comes up behind them, slams their heads together, and shoves them into the room while they are stunned.
- Quest for Sex: A Running Gag is Lester's constant attempts to get laid, and his failure to do so despite being trapped in a porn movie.
- Shower of Love: Lester and Carl unintentionally interrupt Bambi and Daphne before they can take one in the sorority house. Later, when they are trying to escape the girls locker room, they stumble across two women getting it on in the shower. And when they are trying to find a way out of Diamond Jim's mansion, one of the doors they open reveals the same two women in the shower.
- Sink or Swim Mentor: Diamond Jim. After Lester and Carl are transported into the world of porn movies, he magically appears and tells them that they are on a quest and will not be able to leave until they have learned what it is they need to learn. However, he gives them no indication what it is they are supposed to discover, or how they are supposed to find it. And he can't even tell what the one rule of Deep Valley is.
- The Stinger: After the closing credits, it is revealed that Rod Cannon was transported to Lester's old job at the liquor store.
- Strapped to an Operating Table: The nurses strap Lester face down to an examination table preparatory to giving him a sponge bath. This leaves him in a very vulnerable position when Suzi Diablo enters, and she proceeds to torture him by shoving a sphygmomanometer cuff up his ass and starting pumping.
- Trapped in TV Land: A mysterious video booth transports two friends to an alternate reality straight out of a pornographic film.
- Visual Innuendo: Lester is hiding under a pile of stuffed toys as he watches Daphne undress. As he does so, a plush rooster slowly rises up out of the pile.
- Vomit Indiscretion Shot: The audience is "treated" to a close-up of Lester vomiting on the bathroom floor after suffering multiple Groin Attacks from Suzi.
- Welcome to the Real World: Diamond Jim ends up banishing Cowboy Cop Rod Cannon from the porn world of Deep Valley. The Stinger reveals that he is now working in Lester's old dead-end job at the liquor store.
- Wet Blanket Wife: Carl has a wet blanket fiancee who is determined to stop him from having any fun, making any decisions for himself, or doing anything contrary to her wishes. When they are Trapped in TV Land, his best friend Lester makes him promise that if they get of there, he will start standing up for himself.
- Wet T-Shirt Contest: The sorority sisters are having an impromptu wet t-shirt contest amongst themselves when Lester and Carl arrive at the sorority house.
- Whip of Dominance: Suzi Diablo carries a riding crop as part of her Dressed Like a Dominatrix look, and uses it to inflict multiple Groin Attacks on Lester.
