Crazed is a 2014 American Action Genre film.

Ronan Pierce is a cop with a past in special forces. His past has caught up to him in the form of the Luna Cartel, seeking revenge for his prior attempts to defeat them. Under their employ, Pierce's former coworker kills his daughter, abducts his ex-wife and sends him videos of her being tortured for seven years. Now, Pierce is on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge, and the town will be painted red...

This film contains examples of:

  • Abandoned Hospital: The cartel's organ harvesting operation is conducted in an abandoned hospital named Hell's Gate.
  • And I Must Scream: The Mad Doctor puts his victims in a paralysis that keeps their senses intact while he harvests their organs.
  • And the Adventure Continues: After taking down Logan, Pierce leaves to go after Hector Luna himself.
  • Anti-Hero: Ronan Pierce, who is willing to torture, electrocute, and murder whomever gets in his way so long as he takes down Damien Logan and Luna's trafficking organization.
  • Artistic License – Cars: In one scene, a couple school bullies leave a bus via the back door, which is supposed to be an emergency exit. However, no alarms went off nor did anything else happen that would indicate an emergency exit.
  • Big Bad: Damien Logan, Pierce's Evil Former Friend who's been tormenting him all these years.
  • Black-and-Gray Morality: The villains are sadistic human traffickers and multiple murderers. Pierce, the main protagonist, however is a Vigilante Man with very violent tendencies and very few scruples but still better than the villains.
  • Cluster F-Bomb: The movie contains a lot of swearing and profanities.
  • Corrupt Politician: There's a senator who lives in Harbor City and is a paedophile who buys girls from the Luna Cartel and covers up any evidence of his crimes.
  • Crapsack World: Harbor City is a crime-filled Wretched Hive where the most honest cop moonlights as a vigilante and human traffickers run the streets.
  • Electrified Bathtub: Pierce kills one bad guy by dropping a plugged-in hair dryer into the bath water he just waterboarded the guy with.
  • Evil Brit: Lukas Lodder, a psychotic pedophile played by the British Harry Aspinwallnote .
  • Eye Scream: When they served in the Army Ronan shoot Logan in the right eye when he tried to rape a woman. He survived but obviously he's still angry about it.
  • Forced to Watch: Logan sends Pierce video of him torturing his ex-wife every night.
  • Genre Shift: It's subtle, but scenes at the Hells Gate hospital feel more like a horror movie compared to the rest of the film.
  • Genre Throwback: To '80's action revenge films.
  • A God Am I: Logan considers himself the god of his human trafficking victims, due to his complete dominance over their lives.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Hector Luna is the head of the cartel the baddies work for, but he's never seen in the film itself.
  • He Who Must Not Be Seen: Hector Luna, the boss of the sex slavery ring, is never seen in person.
  • Human Traffickers: Main antagonists the Luna Cartel have sex trafficking as one of their primary revenue sources, the other being Organ Theft.
  • Improvised Weapon: Pierce is a master of this. One notable example is when he fights human traffickers on a fishing boat and beats one to death with a dead fish.
  • Large Ham: Lukas Lodder who seems to take much inspiration from Heath Ledger's Joker.
  • Laughably Evil: The Mad Doctor, who is willing to crack plenty of jokes while painfully and gleefully harvesting someone's organs.
  • Meaningful Name: Hector Luna's last name is Italian word for "moon" cause a moon mark he has left on the trafficked girls.
  • Mad Artist: Lukas Lodder, Damien Logan's Dragon, is a Serial Killer who considers the tortured corpses of his victims to be art.
  • Morally Ambiguous Doctorate: The Mad Doctor, who sadistically steals peoples organs while placing them in stasis.
  • Ninja: The Luna Cartel's Mooks are ninjas, which is weird since they're a Colombian organization.
  • No Historical Figures Were Harmed: It's unkown if it's intentional or not, but the Mad Doctor looks a lot like Charles Manson.
  • No Name Given: The Mad Doctor, whose real name still remains a mystery.
  • Not-So-Well-Intentioned Extremist: The Mad Doctor claims that he's saving lives with his Organ Theft, but he's actually just a disgusting Sadist doing it for kicks.
  • Organ Theft: Aside from human trafficking, this is the Luna Cartel's primary moneymaking scheme.
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: A cop with special forces training moonlights as a vigilante to take down the Human Traffickers who killed his daughter and regularly torture his wife.
  • Rule of Cool: Why else would there be ninjas, sex trafficking, organ theft, and loads of crazy kills?
  • Sad Clown: Karina McCoy used to be a circus clown after she ran away from her foster home.
  • Sadist:
    • Lukas Lodder loves killing women and having sex with children. He is visibly ecstatic when describing to Ronan how he raped his daughter.
    • The Mad Doctor, who sings songs such as "This Old Man" and "Amazing Grace" as he's gutting still-awake people and taking their organs.
    • Damien Logan loves to send videos to Ronan where he tortures his wife and enjoys Cold-Blooded Torture in general.
  • Shout-Out: Karina reminds a little Harley Quinn both in her clown outfit and attitude.
  • Sociopathic Soldier: Logan was this in the backstory, only joining the military to kill and rape with impunity and joining a human trafficking cartel when Pierce stops him.
  • Vigilante Man: Pierce is a cop by day who has violent extracurricular activities. Only reason he hasn't been arrested is because of his partner on the force.
  • Verbed Title
  • Would Hurt a Child:
    • Lukas Lodder, who's a pedophile who loves killing and having sex with very young children.
    • Plenty of men are also willing to torture and have sex with teenage girls.
