A 2016 shark movie directed by Lisa Palenica that the city of San Diego with shark attacks, with the situation being more urgent with the shark goes nuclear.

The movie also stars Adam Ambruso, Stacy Baker, Alex Chayka, William Connor, Sean Dillingham, and Melissa Farley.

Tropes for the film:

  • CPR: Clean, Pretty, Reliable: Used cautiously, in which a pretty girl does mouth-to-mouth to revive a guy who had fallen into the sea. Because the guy in question is about twelve, visually the scene doesn't play out the "sexy" aspect of this trope at all, even though the dialogue strongly implies the kid was faking unconsciousness in order to get kissed by the young woman he has a crush on.
  • Gas-Cylinder Rocket: The two heroes use SCUBA gas cylinders to propel their boat safely out of range of the mini-nuclear blast that's set off when the title creature finally dies.
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: Happens to a lot of victims, most notably to some guy on a water-jet-propelled flyboard. The initial strike removes his upper half, but the jets keeps his lower body up in the air until the shark returns for a second helping.
  • Hard-to-Light Fire: A grief-maddened supporting character who's just seen her boyfriend reduced to chum loses it completely, screams at Astrid that it's all her fault, and grapples said heroine while attempting to light the fuses on a bunch of dynamite. Astrid blows out the lighter's flame before her attacker can complete her misdirected Taking You with Me, and keeps doing so until the distraught woman's hold loosens and she can counterattack.
  • Nuclear Mutant: A shark is mutated by a nuclear submarine wreck, leaving it covered with radiation burns, glowing red, and emitting enough heat to cause things around it to burst into flames. It's also more or less a swimming one megaton nuclear bomb that will detonate if killed. Just to make things stupider, some fish that the shark passed nearby become irradiated also, are caught and served up at a seafood restaurant, and cause both the kitchen and a diner to explode.
  • Threatening Shark: This one boils the water, sets things on fire, and/or blows things up by its mere proximity.
