As a way to introduce the funny world of Monty Python to the US, The Pythons made their first ever film composed of 45 sketches (including the opening and end credits).
The sketches, originating from Monty Python's Flying Circus, were redone in a film format with the help of Playboy Productions.
Although the attempt to bring Python to the US market with this film failed, it marked the beginning of The "Monty Python Film" era.
