- Boasamishipper is an excellent addition to this fandom. She exclusively writes Ice/Maverick, but she writes ambitious crossovers and AUs so nothing ever gets stale. Her plots are engrossing, her dialogue is fun, and the affection she writes between Ice and Maverick is palpable.

- Although they stopped writing for Top Gun in 2012, their fics are plenty and wonderfully entertaining. In particular, excellent dialogue, perfect characterization, and scorching sex. This troper highly recommends.
- Although they've only written 3 Top Gun fanfictions (all part of a single series), all three of them are arguably the cream of the crop of TG fics. If you're looking for longform, plotty, tugs-at-your-heartstrings, character-driven work, look no further — especially if you want to know what happened between the original movie and TGM, specifically with Iceman/Maverick.
- Highly recommend if you want some awesome Hangman/Rooster fics or Iceman/Maverick fics. This author characters all four of them perfectly, and outlines the relationships super-well too, with wonderfully funny dialogue, amazing backstories, and beautiful character work. If you're also into Iceman and Maverick's relationships with Rooster, definitely check out this author's body of work.

- Comments: One of the best Top Gun fics this troper has ever read, particularly because it reads like a perfectly in-character (and heartbreaking) sequel to the film. Every detail is well thought out and perfectly placed, and though the ending is more bittersweet than happy, this troper cannot recommend it enough.

- Comments: Goose comes back as a ghost and asks Ice to look out for Maverick now that he can't anymore. Beautifully written, angsty and funny and the ending made me cry. I can't even articulate how much I love this story.

When nights did not hold the threat of dreams and each day was coloured, more meaningful, instead of stretching into a long line of dusty haze.

- Comments: A post-canon angsty masterpiece that shows the darker side of Maverick/Charlie and why they wouldn't be the healthiest of partners for each other. Hauntingly beautiful prose, perfect in-character dialogue. Can't recommend enough.

Thankfully, Ice seems to have the same problem as Maverick.

- Comments: An epic, ambitious retelling of Avengers: Endgame from the point of view of Iceman Kazansky. This is a love letter to Ice and a great fix-it for Endgame. The action is great, characterization is tight across the board, and it's just a really rewarding read.
