  • Comments: One of the best authors for this fandom I have ever encountered. EVERYONE'S in character, and it almost reads like a continuation of the series. Be warned, however, that some of the stories contain slightly more mature themes than the original show ever tackled.
    • Seconded, though personally I'd say it feels more like a continuation of the specials in a way, as while the setting is in line with the series (the Evergreen Standard and series-exclusive characters are featured), the way the main characters are written sometimes feels closer to how they were in the specials, especially Cyril and how he interacts with the others and vice versa, in particular Sophia and Bert (though his softer side is shown like in the series). This is from memory, but I recall the author saying on an old, now defunct Raccoons forum board in the mid-2000s that she had grown up only ever seeing the first two or three specials and had no idea the series even existed until years later or something to that effect, which would explain this, as while she had watched the series by the time she was writing her stories, her being more familiar with the characterisation in the specials does show from time to time. On a side note, the author also said in the same post that Sophia was her favourite character, which explains why Sophia features very prominently in her stories.
