This is a beautiful dream, and there are many who would like to live in a world like that, and make the world be this Paradise. However, there are some who don't like this dream, and who wish to stop it from ever happening. The ones who defend this dream, now must fight for it to come true.
- Comments: This is the fanfic where Fairy Tail meets The Land Before Time, as it has supernatural elements and magic in this story. Be warmed, as it has mild blood violenece here.

- Synopsis: A strange creature has invaded the Great Valley that claims to be from the future with a disturbing past. Littlefoot is intrigued by it but he is have some bizarre dreams of his own.
- Comments: Battle of the Sacred Essences is a 428-page long fanfic that is quite simply one of the greatest crossovers out there. Its sequel was also quickly becoming a hit, but has unfortunately become a dead fic since (last update was in 2013).
Out of the Shadows by Dark Hououmon

- Synopsis: When the mind of a single individual is corrupted by a twisted fiend, a series of bizarre events unfold that no one could stop.
- Comments: A note of caution, this story is rated R for a reason. It's intensely violent and very bloody. Oh yeah, it takes place in a Crapsack World.
- Seconded by Rejected One 123. This is certainly not a fanfic for those who are not mature enough for such content. That being said, Dark Hououmon incorporates excellent description in order to make the reader feel like that they are 'watching' the story play out before their eyes. Despite having some elements that certain LBT purists may find unappealing (such as magic, spiritualism, and a hint of slash) the story is not bogged down by such concepts. Rather, those concepts serve the overall plot and feel of the story quite well. This is certainly a must-read for anyone who is interested in LBT fanfictions.

- Synopsis: Set many years after the movies' settings, Little Foot and the gang have grown up. Grandpa Longneck has long since passed on, leaving Little Foot, or Lesik as he's called now, in charge of the Great Valley. The story kicks off with a now grown-up Chomper returning to the valley. Upon reuniting with his old friends, he explains that the Sharptooth lands are being ravaged by a devastating sickness. Little Foot and the gang resolve to help their old friend and depart for the Sharptooth lands.

- Comments: By this point, the whole Fantastic Racism in the franchise has been done to death, but karkovice somehow manages to make it feel fresh and new again. Much of the series focuses on Little Foot as he tries to be a fair leader in a changing world. In the first story, the dinosaurs of the Great Valley (and the readers as well) learn that the Sharpteeth are not a bunch of mindless, Always Chaotic Evil creatures. They have a culture, feelings, and families, just like the Leaf Eaters, and a lot of drama comes from the long held prejudices against Sharpteeth that permeate the valley. In the second, Cera develops PTSD, after the ordeal in the Sharpteeth lands, and must rely on her friends to help her cope. In the third, Ducky and Petrie become mates (followed by Cera's young cousin and Chomper's son in the fourth), and they must deal with the prejudice and hatred that follow. Occasionally, karkovice will launch into Purple Prose, but overall, the stories are well-written, and the characters are well-developed.

The Land Before Time: the Return of Sharptooth by Red Eyes Black Dragon Master

- Synopsis: Exactly What It Says on the Tin, the Sharptooth from the first movie comes back to get his revenge on Littlefoot and the gang for almost killing him. Doc takes Littlefoot to train him to fight, and Sharptooth takes Chomper in pursuit while teaching him how to be a vicious killer. Features character death and backstory. And Sharptooth happens to be the same one Doc fought as the Lone Dinosaur in the old legends.

- Comments:Of many future fanworks in the fandom, this one truly stands out as a well-thought and done story that could totally work as a movie!!! It has a very Darker and Edgier and mature tone that is quite enjoyable and makes it very interesting.It doesn't have many chapters as of now but is quickly becoming a sensation.

- Comments: Very well written. The addition of a Token Human to the gang makes this quite an interesting read.
The Seven Hunters by The Amazing Rhombus

- Synopsis: A fateful wish causes horrific changes to our favorite seven dinosaurs. What will they do when they are forced to leave all they know behind and live an alien lifestyle in the mysterious beyond? What will they do when the hunted become the hunters? Follow Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie, Spike, Chomper, and Ruby in this dark story of death, revenge, redemption, and hope. Has a tropes page.
- Comments: One of the best Land Before Time fanfics out there. The author takes the concept of the gang turning into sharpteeth and really fleshes it out. Minor characters such as the Rainbow Faces and Ruby's parents get plenty of attention and development. Redclaw is reworked into a serious villain whose presence would strike fear on a similiar level as the original Sharptooth, and his second-in-command, the sociopathic Calin, is even worse. The author's knowledge of biology, anatomy, psychology, and zoology help make the gang's transformation that much more believable. This is a well-written story that deserves to be read.

- Synopsis: Now teenagers, Littlefoot, Cera, Ducky, Petrie and Spike find themselves on a new adventure in which they have to face deadly opponents, protect lives, and experience forbidden feelings that neither they nor anyone else imagined they would ever have.
- Pairing(s): Little Foot/Cera, onesided Little Foot/Ali, Ducky/Pertie, Chomper/Ruby, Shorty/Ali, Spike/OC.
- Comments: This person knows each of the characters inside and out. Even though this is rated T, it wasn't too dark for my taste. Anyone who wants a more Lighter and Softer fanfiction (at least compared to the one above) without going into saccharine territory and people who like Interspecies Romance stories should give this a read. The OCs don't feel out of place either, and it tackles Chomper's 'growing up' problem in a way I feel would work if the Land Before Time franchise went in this direction. Overall, this is a fantastic story!
To Tread Upon Fields Afar by Nimbus01

- Synopsis: Brother and sister Fyn and Zaura, two Amargasaurs living near the Big Water journey into the Mysterious Beyond following an age-old trail left by their father- a trail that supposedly leads to the mythical Great Valley, where dinosaurs once lived in harmony. Their trek takes them through the very heart of the Beyond, where forces beyond their understanding have been at work for years. Together with Sol the lone Longclaw, left to fend for himself at an early age, and Rear the dishonored Fast Biter clinging onto the last shred of her honor, they must unravel the dark secrets plaguing the Beyond, and work to finish what their father started when he ventured to the Great Valley so many years ago.
- Comments: An almost very underrated story that focuses on a pair of Amargasaurus siblings (also known as sailnecks), a naive Suchomimus (longclaw), and a dishonoured Utahraptor (fast biter) as they journey across the Mysterious Beyond to the mythical Great Valley to finish what the siblings' father started so long ago. The characters are very well thought of and the way how Rear explains to a confused Sol on sharptooth beliefs and death that makes you rethink that death is not always the end. With every chapter that's posted up, I always find myself enjoying it even more. It gives you the feeling of Darker and Edgier the more the story goes on and the further the journey goes on. Character growth is really good as well and I find myself connecting with them as they go through the perils of the Mysteious Beyond. I definitely recommend it.

- Synopsis: Immediately after discovering the Great Valley, Littlefoot ponders just how right or wrong it might have been to become friends with those that are "different."
- Comments: Set right after the first movie, it follows the gang of five as they reveal to their parents that they formed friendships with dinosaurs of a different kind, and wish to keep it that way. Special mention for Cera standing up to her dad, as well as apologizing to Littlefoot for insulting the latter's mom, and Littlefoot being forced to question his late mother's remark that all Dinosaurs stick to their own kind.

- Comments: Has some minor background sci-fi elements. Overall, this fic serves to setup the author's next work, "The War Before Time," by showing the Gang reaching their teenage years and becoming formidable fighters in their own right.
War Before Time I: Fall of the Valley by The-Mr-E

- Synopsis: Backed by a sinister alien force from beyond the Mysterious Beyond, sharptooth society prepares to declare war on the Great Valley, and the newly-formed Valley Guard are the only ones who can stop them.
- Comments: The sci-fi elements are minor at first but ramp up as the story progresses. It's meant to be a continuation of the Rainbow Face plotline from VII.
