These are recommendations made by Tropers for Sly Cooper, all of which have been signed. After a few samples, you will be able to judge whether you might be interested in the 'fic, based on who recommended it. No-name recommendations will be blasted by Inspector Fox's shock pistol. Do warn when a fanfic may head into sexually explicit or non-canon territory. Some people just don't like it, and as we all know, Shipping is Serious Business.

Sly 5: Return of Clockwerk by disneybrony2012
  • Recommended by Toonwriter
  • Status: Ongoing
  • Synopsis: Sly 5: Return of Clockwerk takes place after Sly 4 if you played all 4 Sly Cooper video games. A lot of Penelope fans are furious at how Penelope was a traitor to the Cooper Gang! So, a Fan-fiction writer has the goal to make the 5th one until they make the 5th Sly Cooper game.
  • Comments: The author writes the sequel to Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time due to how he and a lot of outraged fans loved Penelope being in the Cooper Gang a lot. So, he decided to take matters into his own hands by making Penelope good to rejoin the Cooper Gang to make himself and fans happy.

Sly 5: Thieves and Robbers by EikaPrime

  • Recommended by Tropemaster 849
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Sly is lost in time. Penelope is sending Bentley post cards. How are they connected? How does Penelope know when Sly is... and what else will they find by following those postcards? There are a lot of problems in history, and if that mouse is causing them, they have to get involved.
  • Comments: Basically, the author's idea on what Sly 5 could be like. And so far, it's pretty good and I could really see this as a game. While not very far along in the story yet, it is still well worth a read.
Author here. Not saying it's good or bad, but it's complete now. -Eika Prime

Why Did You Do It, Penelope? by That Was Real Subtle Bentley

  • Recommended by Tropemaster 849
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Penelope has been missing ever since she escaped from prison, but she's been seen loose in Paris. That is, until an old school friend of Bentley's decides to (forcefully) arrange a meeting between what remains of the Cooper Gang and the traitorous mouse. Here, they give Penelope a chance to explain why she double-crossed them, but will her reasons allow her a shot at redemption?
  • Comments: This story is mostly based on the common fanon idea that Penelope was brainwashed into helping Le Paradox during the events of the fourth game and plays up the drama. While not finished, you can clearly see how much both sides are struggling with the fallout of Penelope's actions.

(un)predictable by elinadsy

  • Recommended by: ggoulden1695
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: “They recovered them.” A statement rather than a question. “They did.” An apology rather than an answer. Sly leans back into the chair, closing his eyes. He fights to keep panic from breaking loose. “Well,” He says, opening his eyes and fixing a smile onto his face. “What’s the plan?" A retelling of Sly 2 in which relationships and characters are studied, and some missing scenes filled in.
  • Comments: An amazing retelling of Sly 2, with added character exploration and deeper examinations into relationships. There are two sequels, one that deals with Sly and Carmelita's relationship after 2, which is complete, and an ongoing retelling of 3 in the same style as (un)predictable.

  • Synopsis: A single, traitorous thought: Would his father be proud? A retelling of Sly 3 in which relationships and characters are studied and missing scenes are filled in.

A Cold Hearted Interlude by LonePhantom756''

  • Recommended by: Awareness Bringer
  • Status: Dead
  • Synopsis: The events of Sly 2, as seen through the eyes of a certain mechinical bird that everyone thought to be dead.
  • Comments: It gives a good perspective of Clockwerk still being active for the events of Sly 2, but a las, while the author is still active, they have not returned to this work since 2012, so I think I'll label this as "dead" until proven otherwise.

Flawed Design - Sly Cooper Fan Animatic/Storyboard by AlfaFilly
  • Recommended by: Gordhanx
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: A very emotional animatic focusing on Arpeggio and Neyla from Sly 2: Band of Thieves, starting from the former's tragic past, leading to the formation of the Klaww Gang and ultimately ending with Neyla's final betrayal and the birth of Clock-La.
  • Comment: An incredibly video, giving us some great insight into the the two main antagonists of the games, set to a very fitting song and some good visuals. By the end, you might just get a tad misty eyed.
