Authors, and Websites
aphelion-orion
  • Recommended by Asuza, Thragg Lootrippa
  • Comment: One of the most diligent and talented Guilty Gear writer of the fandom. Her stories focus on the relationship between Sol and Ky, however, there are more than just shipping. A deep analysis of the characters' psyches.

  • Comment: Another great slash writer. With superb characterization, attention to detail, and marvelous fight scenes, her fics are not to be missed by any Guilty Gear fan. The most notable stories is A Highway that Never Ends

Traingham

Stories focused on the family and the friendly relationships of the cast. Plot-focused stories or light day-in-the-life stories. Pretty much anything that isn't focused on romance.

Guilty Gear: The Missing Link by Piccolo Sky

  • Recommended by FLCNPNCH
  • Synopsis: A novelization of Guilty Gear: The Missing Link.
  • Status: Complete
  • Comments: Guilty Gear: The Missing Link has to be the most masterfully written novelization of a video game I have ever read in my entire life. The fic covers the story of the original game and adds in the most well-written fight scenes you'll ever see to turn it into epic win.

Guilty Gear: When the Sun finally Sets by Spiritblade
  • Recommended by Fireminer
  • Synopsis: Ky Kiske, Hero of the Crusades, now a wanted criminal, has one last task to do before he and his companions can leave their respective pasts behind. Memories sweet and bitter walk the streets of the Vatican.
  • Status: Dormant
  • Comment: It could be a pain to digest the writer's particular style of writing, but if you can, it'd be an enjoyable experience.

Do No Harm by Chibimun
  • Recommended by: Charlie
  • Synopsis: But when they pushed him in, there were no people. All of a sudden, there wasn't really much of anything.
  • Status: Complete
  • Comment: A delightfully disorienting and surreal fic taking place before the events of the first game. The author's unique writing style perfectly portrays the warped and fractured mindset of Dr. Baldhead and his time spent in the Dimensional Prison. It manages to fit a well-constructed narrative of gradual tragedy into a short story, and offers an additional layer of complexity to a character that generally goes unexplored in canon.

Her Brother's Shadow by Rex101111

  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Post Another Story, Baiken has to contend with another unexpected - and unwanted - tagalong who has attached itself to Delilah, at the same time facing her own ghosts of the past. Later on, Delilah asks the uncomfortable question of the dead while they're of the living.
  • Comments: Written not long after Bedman?'s intro trailer, Rex captures the pained difficulty of Baiken having to deal with her own shadows when confronting the Bed that all but lives in Delilah's shadow, following Bedman's desire to protect his sister. Rex also captures how both Baiken and Delilah are learning to live with each other, and learning a little on what it means to actuallv live beyond their shared desire for revenge.

Stories focused on the romantic relationships between the cast.

At Freedom's Expense by Iliya Moroumetz

  • Recommended by Fireminer
  • Synopsis: The adventure of Ky Kiske and Dizzy to uncover the Gear's mysterious origin.
  • Status: Dormant
  • Comment: A great story to indulge yourself in. While not the most sophisticated, its flow is properly managed and everything is put into place.

The Sweetest Arrangement by MamaNana
  • Recommended by: 4~Spirits
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: A nationwide baking event catches Venom's attention, but he soon realizes one of the organizers has taken interest in more than just his baking skills. What develops is a romance between a king and an assassin who's supposed to be in hiding.
  • Pairing(s): Venom/King Daryl
  • Comments: An odd pairing fic with a surprising amount of genuine sincerity and excellent characterization. Lots of sweet character moments and a pleasant mix of humor and emotional depth.

Ch'io mi scordi di te? by Rex101111
  • Recommended by: Charlie
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Aria Hale wakes to the smell of disinfectant and the sound of flickering florescent lights from outside the room. Her head is pounding, her world is spinning, and she is, miracle of miracles, alive.
  • Pairing(s): Sol Badguy/Aria Hale
  • Comments: A followup to the main story of Revelator, where Sol and a reborn Aria are finally able to talk to one another. The author's absolutely magnificent descriptive style and well-written banter (along with some much-needed character development/background for Aria) turns what was a Romantic Plot Tumor in canon into a very genuine (and incredibly funny) relationship that makes for an engaging read, even if it is a bit on the shorter end. Keep in mind that this fic predated STRIVE's release, so the Jack-O' of STRIVE isn't present.

Alternative Title(s): Guilty Gear The Missing Link, Guilty Gear X, Guilty Gear XX, Guilty Gear 2 Overture, Guilty Gear Strive
