broken crown by sharkie

  • Crossover: Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell
  • Recommended by: smallturtle
  • Status: a sporadically updating seriesnote  of complete, self-contained works
  • Synopsis: Consign me not to darkness. The course of English magic is once again irrevocably altered when London is dragged under the earth by capitalist giant space bats in 1862. Twenty-nine years later, a young Reader of the King's Letters pursues a descendant of the King's Book into New Newgate Prison...
  • Notes: Though a crossover, many of the works are Fallen London-exclusive. The series focuses on the Jovial Contrarian and an OC, the Despondent Correspondent. Sometimes it focuses on both at the same time.

Heroes and Devils by marinarusalka

  • Crossover: Marvel Comics
  • Recommended by: Progeny Ex Machina
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Three years after Dr. Doom cast the entire island of Manhattan into the dark depths of the Echo Bazaar, life goes on. Fulgent Engineering by deepandlovelydark

  • Crossover: MacGyver (1985)
  • Recommended by: pointillist
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: MacGyver wanders a hundred years back in time, and ends up signing onto a zee-farer's ship as a mechanic. There, he takes the place of Sunless Sea's Tireless Mechanic, and starts trying to build the Fulgent Impeller. Fantastically characterized OCs round out the rest of the ship's crew.
  • Notes: nothing beside remains is a complete sequel of comparable length, branching off as a sort of AU. It's about MacGyver seeking Mr. Eaten's name. Yes, that MacGyver. Yes, that Mr. Eaten's name. No, I don't know why this Crack Fic premise works so well.
  • Notes: There are also a good handful of sequels and related works, some of which are random oneshots, some of which are crossovers with Stargate SG-1 or Doctor Who instead, and some of which are larger stories in various states of completion.
