- Comments: I was on the fence about whether or not to take a big(ger) interest in Code Lyoko, when I stumbled upon this story, which converted me. The first season (thus far) is reimagined with an Original Character named Jin, who is Yumi's twin brother and who doesn't suffer from 90% of the flaws of typical OCs.

- Synopsis: They say to defeat your enemy, you must become your enemy... but for unfortunately for Jeremie and a certain Krabe, that saying is about to be taken far too literally...
- Comments: Sithking Zero: One of my favorite CL stories, and one that puts a unique spin on the whole series. Jeremie and a Krabe switch bodies due to a screw-up in a training scenario. Watching the two try to prevent their counterparts from finding out that they are in the body of mortal enemies is nothing short of hilarious, and it shows that monsters are not merely dumb beasts to be ordered around like slaves. Two thumbs up! Oh, and rendered AU by Season 3.

- Comments: It all starts with Aelita asking how babies are made. Hilarity Ensues, leading to her having an eight-year-old child. It Makes Sense in Context. A must-read.
Ghosts in the Machine by Carth

- Synopsis: Dark Fic. Sissi and Mr. Delmas are refugees in an Irish boarding school after a mysterious cataclysm hits Bolougne-Billancourt. Mystery, drama, and adventure ensue.
- Comments: Hands down the best fanfic I've ever read. The writing is good enough to be in a novel, the characterization is spot-on, and the OC's are actually very fleshed-out and likable. The aura of mystery and tragedy is killer, and the light moments are great. Read it now.
Code Lyoko: The Forewarned by Starke

- Synopsis: XANA is gone, but science moves forward, slowly discovering quantum technology. The Lyoko Warriors alone know the danger it holds for the entire planet. Without RTTP, they fight a shadow war against AIs and humans to save the world from its creations.
- Comments: Extremely well-written, just like an episode of the show, and the amount of planning that's gone into it is very impressive. Starke's theories about the science behind the supercomputer and Lyoko are really interesting, and he makes good use of minor characters, fleshing them out and giving them interesting roles. The fic has, sadly, since been discontinued, but what there is is very much worth reading.
Code LYOKO: Fragmented Legacies by watfics

- Synopsis: Team LYOKO plus one. A retelling of the story with the addition of an OC and some extra story arcs, such as ones concerning Yumi and Ulrich's relationship and an expansion of the Project CARTHAGE backstory.
- Comments: A fun writing style which takes inspiration from Scott Pilgrim, and litters the story with pop culture references. May not be to everyone's taste if you're not a fan of the "OC is a new student who also knows about Lyoko" trope, but the writing is good and the humour and new material is pretty stellar.
Return to the Past by Carth

- Synopsis: A routine XANA attack turns into a big problem for Jeremy, when a return trip sends him back in time to June 6th, 1994.
- Comments: This is an extraordinary piece of fanfiction, one that reads excellently all the way through. I highly, highly recommend it.

- Synopsis: After finding a voodoo doll pinned to a wall, Jim creates a rule that says for people not to. Hilarity Ensues when the whole of the Kadic students and the faculty decide to add other rules pertaining to their daily lives.

- Comments: Funny, awesome crack. Basically, portrays Jeremy and Aelita as a pair of Crazy-Prepared Yanderes. For example, their marriage proposition was done using kidnapping and blackmail ON EACH OTHER. Only problem is that it's just a one-shot.

- Comments: While not one of the more well-known or supported pairings, like Ulrich/Yumi or Jeremie/Aelita, I have always liked this particular couple. Just a fun, fluffy story of Odd driving Sissi bonkers.

- Notes: Has a fan-sequel, Two Days - A Sequel to An Odd Couple by KaltimusPrime.
- Comments: Another Odd/Sissi story. Odd gets a new computer, and he starts chatting with a girl online. After really hitting it off, they decide to meet for the first time (though they do note in-story that this takes place after Odd did the exact same thing with the same results.) After a comedy of errors, even more Hilarity Ensues. It's funny, it's fluffy, it's altogether great.
Two Days - A Sequel to An Odd Couple by KaltimusPrime

As Sissi begins to be drawn into the world of the Lyoko Warriors, she'll have to balance her fear of the unknown against keeping her newfound friends...as XANA plays a deadly game once again...

- Notes: A fan-sequel to WeaponFanfic's An Odd Couple.
- Comments: Although written by a different author, it appears that WeaponFanfic gave permission to Kaltimus to write a sequel story to the original "An Odd Couple" story. It continues from a few weeks after the original story ended, and follows the beginnings of Sissi joining the Lyoko group. The story has weekly chapters being uploaded.
- The story is now fully uploaded and complete, with the author apparently planning further entries.

Digital Doctor by Professional Protagonist

- Synopsis: The Doctor, Amy, and Rory discover a unique and unusual time energy signature and head out to investigate! Four junior high students spend their time in a virtual world battling an evil A.I., and whenever too much damage is done, they turn back the clock. What strange adventures await the Lyoko Warriors and the Who Crew?
- Comments: This is probably the best Code Lyoko crossover ever written. No cheap shots taken, nothing felt forced. In fact, with a few alterations; it could suffice as an actual Doctor Who story in its own right. It just feels very natural and even serves an alternate series finale to Code Lyoko. It just happens to have The Doctor in it.
Code: Total Drama Reality by Lord Maximus

- Synopsis: Two years after the Lyoko gang shut down the supercomputer XANA has returned even more powerful and with new monsters. He soon manages to capture the Lyoko warriors except for Aelita. Meanwhile, the entire Total Drama cast has come to France after being forced to compete for another season in the real world and digital plane. Aelita turns to some of the contestants for help in fighting XANA's forces.
- While I applaud the author for taking on such an ambitious project (it is a massive Doorstopper), I can't say I recommend this fic. There are parts I did enjoy, like his Reconstruction of the Courtney/Duncan/Gwen love triangle or filling in XANA's motivations, but a lot of the time he tells us things instead of shows them, and is a bit too fond of long, sometimes repetitive, Info Dumps (the entire plot is explained, in detail, every time a new Warrior joins the team, XANA delivers his reasons via a single long speech, etc.) Speaking of XANA, other than him and Aelita, the entire Code Lyoko cast is Demoted to Extra, so if you're coming from that half of the crossover you'll likely be disappointed by the lack of familiar faces. Some plot ideas are interesting but underused and/or relegated to occasional mentions; most notably the Cain and Abel relationship between XANA and Aelita is consistently mentioned, but detailed information is relegated to being delivered by a third party, while neither of them ever reflects on their past as family. The author introduces several major OCs who are very much YMMV in enjoyment; if don't like Kurt and Carlos's humor, you'll likely be annoyed by how often they show up to divert attention from the main story. A lot of the humor relies on Fourth Wall Breaking and Running Gags, which for me wore out their welcome quickly. Most damningly, the third major OC is a bland Deus ex Machina named Seraphim, who contributes to many of the Ass Pulls that the plot relies on. If you enjoy action stories, there's plenty of it, and that's what I'd consider the draw for this fic; if you enjoy plot and character stories, you should turn elsewhere. - Apocrypha
