Fanfic / Zero 2: A Revision

Go To

Season 02. You thought you knew it. But not this one. This is a revision. A restart. A whole new look at the series...and one that will change everything...
— The author's summary of the entire story.

Zero 2: A Revision is a Fix Fic of the original Digimon 02 created by Ultra Sonic 007 that revise the premise of Digimon 02.

Initially, it starts off with similar scenarios with the original bar a few differences, however when the featured Original Character Shaun arrives, the story begins to branch off into a unique experience that deviates a lot from the source.

After this story ends, the author has released compilations of the Zero 2 universe that encompasses the lives of the Digidestined after the story ends. Unfortunately, after releasing 5 stories, it is quickly abandoned and becomes a Dead Fic.

     A-F
  • Abandoned Warehouse: Gennai's main base of operations is located in the warehouse on the outskirts of Odaiba.
  • Adaptational Badass: In the canon, Malomyotismon is easily defeated by Digimons of all shapes including Champions once Davis managed to get his other fellows out of their dreams and even after he managed to grow into full power, the children defeats him by preaching their dreams and goals to gradually weaken him note . But here, Myotismon Digivolves himself into Belialmyotismon, who is much stronger to the point of exceeding even Xeedmilleniummon and has nothing to do with fears and nightmares. Even his Mental Illusion is changed from revealing your greatest desires to your own worst nightmare. It took the combine fusion into Digiknight and another fusion of all the Digimons to go toe to toe with him and even then, only with Shaun's help do they eventually defeat him.
  • Adaptational Villainy: The Digimon Emperor is much more vicious in this fic compared to the canon. His more atrocious acts include a genuine attempt to kill off the Digidestined and not some Bakemon clone, possessing Patamon into Magnaangemon after his Metalgreymon is defeated, firing a nuke right onto Gekomon town just to kill Shaun, trapping them inside his first base awaiting to be killed by both the Terminators and Alienmon, and using the Chosen Digimons as parts for his Chimeramon.
  • Adaptational Wimp: Downplayed; In canon, Oikawa is one of the main Big Bad of Digimon Adventure 02, being directly responsible for the events that happen such as the rise of the Digimon Emperor, the creation of Arukenimon and Mummymon and the new generation of the Digidestined although it is Myotismon who did most of the legging. But in this fic, his role is demoted into one of Demon's agents who helped Demon invade he Real World unintentionally and having nothing to do with any of the events mentioned in the canon section; Demon is directly responsible for Ken's rise to power while both Arukenimon and Mummymon are demoted to Devimon's creations.
  • Adapted Out:
    • The Dark Spore children such as Noriko got removed in the continuity while the inter-continental Digidestined and their Digimons got replaced with other characters such as Oikawa and Blackwargreymon, and Daichi and Impmon.
    • Because the Digimon movies sans the pilot are treated as non-canon by the author, Diaboromon and Wallace never appear in this continuity.
  • Adults Are Useless: Averted; a lot of the adults, especially the police, actively attempt to defend against both Umbradevimon, Demon, and Gravemon's armies and deal a good amount of damage to them.
  • Adult Fear: When the Digidestined has dissapeared for a long time, their parents starts to become worried sick about them. Gennai thankfully is there to help them know where the Digidestineds are.
  • Airborne Mooks: Ladydevimon commands a set of Bakemons that are more suited for attacking enemies in the air.
  • Alas, Poor Villain: Even though Grankuwagamon is not exactly a saint, for him to be double-crossed immediately by Piedmon after demanding him to teach him how to use his dimension slash to overthrow Umbradevimon, its not hard to feel for him.
  • All Death Is Final: No matter how powerful a Digimon is, there is no way to bring a dead human back to life. Not even the four sovereigns and their creator, Huanglongmon have the power to do so. And if a Digimon's core is destroyed, while their data will reincarnate, their minds won't.
  • All-Powerful Bystander: Dragomon claims to be able to take over both the entire Real and Digital World by himself and certainly could defeat most of the other villains by himself but aside from a single moment when he saves Kari from Darkheart, he is simply more content with watching them in his castle, playing chess along the way.
  • All Your Colors Combined: Digiknight uses his rainbow-colored Cannon of Destiny against a Huanglongmon-powered Belialmyotismon.
  • All Your Powers Combined: This version of Chimeramon is made up of data from the Destined Digimon, giving him their powers. Umbradevimon gains this when he merges with him later on. However as his powers are made on the other Digimon's power, he therefore has to rely on the Digidestined's other Digimon evolving, which allows the Digidestined to eventually figure out his weakness and defeat him.
  • Amazing Technicolor Battlefield: After Umbradevimon immediately attacks the Demon Corps regardless of the ceasefire, Demon decides to summon the fires of hell which results in the background being fitted with the red typhoon of fire.
  • An Arm and a Leg: Izzy's mother loses her left arm due to an attack from a Bakemon.
  • Armor Piercing Slap: Ken delivers one to Yolei when she starts being hysterical about how she is going to die in Darkheart's labyrinth.
  • Ascended Extra:
    • Plenty of characters got a larger role but Dragomon is a notable example as his role increased from a mere voiceless silhouette in the ocean that leads to nowhere to the Evil Counterpart of Kari that acts as a Combat Commentator of sorts, only interfering once to save Kari from Darkheart's torture. Even the very fact that he appears in his own Dark Ocean episode is also this trope.
    • The same also applies to Demon as he goes from a space flea that has little to no reason for invading the real world to one of the full-fledged Evil Overlord of the Dark World who is stated to be the third villain. In fact, he is also directly responsible for kickstarting the plot of the story due to massacring all of the Digidestined in the original timeline.
  • The Assimilator: This is Darkheart's main method of becoming stronger, by absorbing the entire Digidestined along with the Shadow Mallet. By the time he is finally defeated, Kari, Blackwargreymon and Futa are the only ones that are not absorbed by him.
  • The Atoner: Ken becomes this after he is defeated by the Digidestined, as well as Yukio Oikawa after he becomes a Digidestined with Blackwargreymon as his partner.
  • Attack Its Weak Point: The only way to kill a Flan Digimon is to shoot its brain. Attacking all other body parts will just cause it to be pushed away.
  • Ax-Crazy: Arukenimon's first creation Zanbamon, is a bloodthristy Digimon that wants nothing more than destruction.
  • Badass Boast:
    • Dragomon shows Darkheart why he it the Lord of the Dark Ocean, by immediately defeating him with a Forbidden Trident despite being in Stage 2: Fighter mode.
Dragomon:Your incompetence has been proven. I am Dragomon, Lord of the Dark Ocean! There are currently no Digimon in the world of living who are capable of defeating me. The Guardian Beasts. Xeedmilleniummon. Neomon. Gravemon. Those are the only Digimon that have ever demonstrated greater power than me...not even Demon compares. If I wanted to, I could crush all opposition in the Real and Digital Worlds without delay! So heed my words little man...you will not try to impede on my quest to becoming one with the light.
    • When Demon decides that he has finally had enough with Gravemon and decides to unleash his full power destroying Gravemon's mind in the process.
Demon: I am Lord Demon...and I will Not die in this place. Not at the hands of Gravemon.
  • Badass Normal: Even before unlocking his Holy Armor, Shaun shows remarkable fighting skills and experience that he is capable of going toe-to-toe with ultimate Digimons as well as Ken himself. This likely correlates to the fact that he earned 5765 years of experiencec in the Digital World.
  • Bad Future: The original timeline where Shaun originate from, where he accidentally released Demon from his prison and massacres all of the Odaiba Digidestined.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: The original timeline Demon managed to successfully kill off the entire Digidestined before he himself gets killed by Omnimon laughing all the way even until death because he essentially succeeded at doing what he intends to do.
  • Bad Mood as an Excuse: Immediately after Davis's first exit from the Digital World,Yolei demands an explanation for Davis's face, Davis tries to make an excuse of an angry gym leader beating him up. Yolei obviously does not fall for it.
  • Bait-and-Switch Boss: Demon's reign of terror is cut short by Piedmon, who is later revealed to be Myotismon inside him.
  • Battle Of The Minds: It even says in the chapter title as Davis and Darkheart are trying to fight each other to determine who is in control of their body.
  • Beam-O-War: Digiknight's Cannon of Destiny vs Belialmyotismon's (Huanglongmon mode) Great Darkness Of The Abyss as their final attack.
  • Become A Real Digimon: As a reward for taking an attack meant for Davis, Blackwargreymon has been granted a new life as a real Digimon.
  • Benevolent Boss: Despite being of the 2 Evil Overlord of the Dark World, and often threatens his minions for incompetence, Demon never once considers abusing or executing his Black Generals for failure, just wanting high expectation with them (He is noticeably upset when Skullsatamon is killed in battle). When Umbradevimon is about to use his Doomsday Viper, Demon instinctively orders his minions to protect themselves from the attack. And when he found out that his Bakemons are starting to tire themselves, Demon orders them to rest in his castle until the time has come. Contrast this with Dragomon who calls his Scubamon minions as Deadmon and upon retrieving his intended target, orders them all to die.
  • Beta Couple: Yolei and Ken compared to Davis and Kari's alpha couple.
  • Big Badass Battle Sequence: During the last third of the series, both Umbradevimon and Demon's armies decide to invade Odaiba at the same time, resulting in a colossal war that causes the destruction of the entire city as well as killing thousands of innocent people. Meanwhile, the Digidestined are stuck in the Digital World, attempting to fight off Davis's Superpowered Evil Side Darkheart only to fail every time.
  • Big Bad Ensemble: After the Digimon Emperor arc is over, it dissolves into this: UmbraDevimon and Demon both have their own plans to conquer both worlds; the Gravemon (an Expy of the Flood) want to absorb everything in both worlds; Piedmon briefly goes off on his own; Darkheart — Davis's Superpowered Evil Side — is created to serve as an agent of UmbraDevimon but eventually splits (more successfully than Piedmon) and starts tormenting the Digidestined for shits and giggles; Dragomon waits in the wings; and Myotismon is pulling strings from the shadows.
  • Big Damn Heroes: When the Digimon Emperor decides to unleash the ultimate trap towards the Digidestined, Shaun decides to finally step out of his shadows with Sonocomon and saves the Digidestined.
  • The Big Damn Kiss: Yolei, believing that she is going to get absorbed by Darkheart's labyrinth, decides to kiss Ken for five seconds which allows Silphymon and Dinobeemon to DNA digivolve to Goliamon.
  • Bishōnen Line: Darkheart's transformation goes from Normal mode which a corrupted Davis form, the Fighter mode which is still humanoid but slightly bigger, the Hunter mode which resembles a giant centaur about 5 meter tall, to the Dark Dragon mode which resembles a giant 60 meter dragon but when he assumes to his fifth and last seen form; the Dark Angel, he reverts back to human size but now becomes an extremely powerful angelic warrior. A hypothetical six threshold, the Eternal Scourge mode still retains his human-sized body albeit it is a merely condensed form. His true form is a formless black face of hatred and destruction.
  • Bittersweet Ending: The Digidestined manage to won the Odaiba War and took down all of the invaders and with the help of the Guardian Beasts, restore the city of Odaiba. However, human lives are unable to be brought back despite the sovereigns power, meaning that victims of the Odaiba War suffers a loss of a family or two. The concept of Digimons have now become public knowledge the public reaction regarding Digimons are currently looked down upon by the humans due to them playing a part in the Odaiba invasion. Integrating humans with Digimons will prove to be a difficult feat with all of the anti-Digimon movements roaming around Odaiba. Moreover, there are still other evil Digimons that are lurking out there such as Dragomon and Gravemon and until their time is right, they bide within their fortress.
  • Blatant Lies: Whenever a Digidestined are having a difficult issue regarding what to tell to the older people, Davis gives them a made-up explanation of how it happened.
Digidestined's parents: (After seeing them badly scarred) OH MY GOD! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!
    Their answer: I got mugged.
  • Bloodier and Gorier: While the entire fan fiction is more gruesome than the source fiction, chapter 18 is a lot gorier than all the other chapters, featuring modern weaponry Terminators and bloody deaths.
  • Blood Knight: This is Blackwargreymons's entire stick wishing to fight powerful opponents in order to cover up his craving to kill everything around him.
  • Bond Villain Stupidity:
    • Umbradevimon can create portals that allows him to immediately snatch an unsuspecting Digidestined like he did with Ken. Why didn't he just used it to either kill an unsuspecting Digidestined that are not a part of Chimeramon's components like Davis, Yolei, Cody, and Ken or just imprison the ones that are part of Chimeramon's components?
    • Digimon Emperor once managed to travel to the Digidestined's home when they're sleeping and instead of slitting their throats, he instead chose to abduct their Digimon's for the final component of Chimeramon. Amusingly he does consider doing this when he is about to lose.
  • Boring, but Practical: When every single Digimons including (Wargreymon) is unable to penetrate the barrier to Cody's crest, Cody realises that he has to de-digivolve Armdillomon to Tsubumon to destroy the barrier.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Umbradevimon's touch of evil allows him to brainwash them into killing their own friends before he dispels control and gives the brainwashed realization of their actions. Ken and TK are victims of this.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: Occasionally, whenever either the author has gone into rambling mode or a character criticizes the author for his writing.
  • Brutal Honesty: Under the advice from Leomon, Yolei does not hesitate to speak with her mind towards the person in question.
Ken:Do you honestly think I deserve this crest? Because I don't.
Yolei:Well Ken...honestly, I don't think you should be the Child of Kindness either.(Ken: Yolei...) I'm not done yet! Now look...you used to be the biggest jerk in the universe. You were smug, cocky, and EXTREMELY evil to boot. You tried to kill us on several occasions, you used the older kids' own partners against us, you used our OWN Digimon to create that freak Chimeramon...need I go on?
  • Call-Back: There are plenty of moments where a character reminices an event from their first adventure such as the Odaiba Fog, the Hightown View bombing, but none more so than the Digidestined's visit into File Island (In the canon, the island is never even mentioned).
  • Calling Your Attacks: The author goes ham on this, creating new attack names for Digimons returning or original that are not found in anywhere on the Digimon's profile, he even gave attack names for the Holy Armored Digidestined as well as the Shadow Mallet. However, both the Forbidden City Digimon along with the Gravemon never call their attacks, being Captain Ersatz of the Covenant and the Flood respectively.
  • Can't Catch Up: Sora, Mimi, Izzy, and Joe suffers completely from this to the point of exaggeration; unlike the other Digidestined, they never managed to obtain a Mega Digivolution, only Ultimates and in the Zero 2 universe where Mega becomes the standard power level, those 4 ended up being completely shafted to the point of never winning or even contributing a straight-up fight against a major antagonist. Heck the original Digidestined can Digivolve into a Mega so why not them as well?
  • Captain Ersatz:
    • Shauns armor-digivolved Digimon Sonoccomon has based a large amount of its designs from Sonic The Hedgehog including his color scheme, his name, and his attacks.
    • Chapter 7 introduces the Flan Digimon Palidomon with the others of its kind (Azulmon, Rojomon, Amarillomon, and Azabachemon) being introduced in chapter 29 as minions of Milleniummon. They are based on the Flan enemies in Final Fantasy X-2
    • The infamous and controversial Chapter 18 features 3 Terminator armies as well as Alienmon constructed by the Digital emperor during his first apprearance to the Digital world.
    • First introduced in chapter 41 and 44 respectively, The Forbidden palace armies and the Gravemon that have a lot of influence from the Halo universe as the Covenant and the Flood.
  • Cardboard Prison: The Gravemon managed easily to escape from their Tailor-Made Prison without the Hierachs knowing about it.
  • The Cavalry: The Forbidden City and the Digidestined arrived at the Real World and decimates all of the invaders by chapter 56.
  • Character Focus: Zero 2: Housemates, the sequel to the series focuses on Yolei and all of her family members including her own siblings and parents as Davis and Jun had moved in to their apartment due to their parents had been killed by Gravemon.
  • Chekhov's Gun: During chapter 15, after Davis and Shaun manages to grab Kari and TK from the Dark World, the narrative off-handedly mentions a mysterious black object coming out of the waterfall which eventually hacks into Ken's computer. Said object is later revealed to be a Black Gear that provides Ken the datas for Project Chimera and allows Devimon to escape from the Dark World,
  • Chekhov's Gunman: Before his proper debut, Demon is seen in one of Ken's flashbacks in chapter 22 as the one who manipulated him into the Digimon Emperor.
  • The Chessmaster: Dragomon provides literal example when he displays a board that shows the Digidestined (With Kari always the biggest piece) along with whatever opponents that the Digidestined are currently facing.
  • Climax Boss: The final confrontation between Kari and Darkheart has a lot more action and fight scene than any other chapters besides Digiknight vs Belialmyotismon, and covers up an entire episode with the entire Digidestined and subsequently the world at stake. It also has Blow me Away as the music when a Siara-possessed Kari battles against Darkheart.
  • Cold-Blooded Torture: Darkheart during chapter 42, tortures Kari after having a "heart-to-heart" talk with her for no reason other than pure sadism. He would have continue torturing her too had Dragomon not interfered and saves her.
  • Color-Coded Characters: In addition to their Armor-digivolution and DNA Digivolve, the new generation of Digidestined receives their own specific crests that allows them to digivolve to their ultimate stages.
  • Combat Commentator: Dragomon acts as such in this version, often foreshadowing the existence of other villains that could impede on his way and commenting whenever there is any events that happen in the storyline only interfering once when he save Kari from Darkheart's torture.
  • Combination Attack: The Energy Drill attack using Digmon's Gold Rush as the body for the other Armor-digivolved Digimons to use their attack to power up the drills. And then Sonoccomon accelerates their momentum to become a single drill that is capable of piercing through Magnaangemon's Gate of Destiny.
  • Composite Character: Most of the Digidestined have both the traits of the japanese and the english dub versions. While it's true that their names are based on the english dub, some parts of their personalities are borrowed from the original.
  • Conservation of Ninjutsu: Umbradevimon's 1 milion black gear controlled Digimon's of various levels vs Demon's well-trained 10000 Bakemon and his elite commanders. The result is unsurprisingly Demon easily winning.
  • Cool Plane: The massive Great Journey plane that the Hierarchs and the Covenants use to encompass the Great Journey.
  • The Corrupter: Umbradevimon uses either his black gears or his touch of evil to turn a Digidestined into his minions, Ken, TK, and Davis are victims of this. Demon also uses his Dark Spores to corrupt both Ken and corrupts Davis even more.
  • The Corruption: The Dark spores implanted in Ken by Demon gives him enhanced physical abilities and intelligence but at the cost of corrupting him during his moment of weakness. The true purpose of his interest in Ken's Dark spore is explained here — Demon has lost a lot of his power as a result of his confrontation with the original Digidestined, and with the help of the Dark spores, he can regain not just most of his former strength but also become even stronger than when he was at his prime. Demon also implanted Dark spores within Darkheart, resulting in him gaining a sense of will and being and leads to him deciding to torment the Digital World for shits and giggles.
  • Creator's Favorite: When asked by a reviewer, the author states Davis, Tai, Yolei, and Izzy as his favorite Digidestined. That might explain why he is an avid Daikari shipper and gives Izzy more spotlight than the rest of the first generation Digidestined. invoked
  • Dark World: Besides the Digital World, there is also another world filled with Digimons called the Dark World, a realm where all the Dark Digimons are born including Devimon and Myotismon. This also includes both the Dark Ocean and Dragomon that is previously swatted aside in the original now expanded upon.
  • Darker and Edgier: When compared to the original universe. For starters, the Digimon Emperor is fully willing to use nukes and torture other Digimons for his own amusement. But by the Umbradevimon arc, the story took a nosedive in darkness as threatening and competent villains like Devimon and Demon that were previously shoved aside have drastically expanded roles, often putting the Digidestined at their own ropes. There are also multiple number of character deaths from Davis's parents, Cody's grandfather, (Agumon), and finally Shaun. In addition, it is later revealed that Shaun is actually from the original universe who accidentally released Demon from prison killing off the rest of the Digidestined. His time travel to the past radically changed the whole plot of Digimon Adventure to what we currently saw in the story.
  • Darkest Hour: Chapter 50 is the peak of this moment. The Digidestined are trapped in the Digital World, unable to return to the Real World no thanks to Darkheart's constant attacks on the Digidestined, being absorbed into him every time they confronted. At this point, only Kari, TK, Shaun, Angewomon, and Paildramon are not absorbed by him. Meanwhile, Odaiba is entrapped in a massive four-way war between the forces of Umbradevimon, Demon, Gravemon, and the survivors of Odaiba with thousands of people being either killed or possessed by the Spores.
  • Data Crystal: Myotismon stores a part of his own soul within a crystallized portion of the Dark Ocean as one of his own backup plan.
  • Deader than Dead: While the Digimon's body will always be reborn, if either their soul is destroyed or the Digimon's partner dies, the Digimon will truly die.
  • Deadly Upgrade: Davis receives the crest of miracles in a very painful method; by being carved directly into his body.
  • Defeating the Undefeatable: Demon managed to destroy Gravemon's mind despite being known as an invincible Digimon. Although this is averted as the Mind simply retreats to the sewers waiting for its time to strike.
  • Deal with the Devil: A literal example has Oikawa making a deal with Demon; In exchange for giving away Ken's location, Oikawa will be allowed to enter the Digital world.
  • Death by Adaptation: In the source fiction, hardly any character died other than the bad guys and even then most of the good Digimon got resurrected. But here, a good number of named characters die. This includes Cody's grandfather, and Davis and Jun's parents.
  • Dead Fic: The hyped up Zero 2: Past Journeys, i.e another promised mega fiction that conveys Shaun's entire journey from start to finish, has never been released even up to this day. Whether the author simply gave up or due to outside business is not known. The same goes for the other concepts that were never released such as Dragomon making his move, side stories relating to the Digidestined, the Zero 2 version of Tamers, chronicles of the Original Digidestined, and the war between the Covenant Digimons and the humans.
  • Death Glare: According to Davis, Yolei's glare will make Devimon wet himself upon seeing that look.
  • Death of Personality: What happens to Piedmon by Umbradevimon due to his touch of evil and later by Myotismon due to his soul banishment and transfer.
  • Decapitated Army: Downplayed, when Demon managed to destroy the Gravemon's Mind, the rest of the Spores and Warriors still remains albeit they now fight by instinct as they are unable to be coordinated by The Mind.
  • Deconstruction Fic: The entire fan fiction deconstructs the entire concept of Digimon Adventure 02 as well as the Original Character.
  • Despair Event Horizon: Oikawa once his friend Hiroki dies, to the point that in his moment of weakness, he willingly agreed to make a deal with Demon to allow entry into the Digital World. He also has another one when Daniel manage call him out on his desperation to enter the Digital World by making a Deal with the Devil.
  • Didn't See That Coming: One of the first moment in which Shaun completely loses his cool is when Patamon gets captured by the Emperor and Digivolves into Magnaangemon. He certainly did not predict that event coming ever.
  • Does Not Like Guns: Ever since Puppetmon threaten TK with a gun (If only the dubbers know this), TK dislikes any use of gun whatsoever and this only contributes to his suspicion of Shaun when he used his desert eagle to kill Palidomon.
  • Doom Magnet: As Hiroaki realizes when his ex-wife soon to be wife Nancy gets held at gunpoint by Oikawa simply because he is one of the first generation Digidestined.
  • Doorstopper: By the time it is finally finished, this fan fiction contains 583,698 words.
  • Dragon Their Feet: Puppetmon becomes the Sole Survivor of the Dark Masters after Umbradevimon banished Piedmon's soul before finally dying for good after Darkheart kills him.
  • Driven to Suicide: After Demon kills all of the Digidestined in the original timeline, the surviving Digimon partners decide to kill both themselves and each other, having lost their spirit due to their partner's death.
  • Drop The Hammer: The Shadow Mallet which is a weapon that the Dark Masters used to seal the guardian beasts. Piedmon at first used it in an attempt to overthrow Umbradevimon before Devimon passes it on to Puppetmon to improve the gaming engine, later absorbed by Darkheart before Blackwargreymon destroyed it for good.
  • Drunk with Power: Grandkuwagamon after using his dimension slash experienced a sudden change in personality, from a stoic silent Digimon to a power-hungry Digimon who desires to use his time-warping abilities to his fullest to overthrow Umbradevimon. Too bad Piedmon decides to wipe his personality by turning him into a keychain before this happens.
  • Dying Moment of Awesome: What did Shaun do before he dies for good? He expends all of his energy and power to destroy Belialmyotismon's Digicore that holds Huanglongmon, before finally dying with a smile on his face.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Myotismon, aka the final villain of Digimon Adventure 02 mades his first appearance in chapter 40 when a personality-less Piedmon that has just entered into the Dark Crystal ends up having his soul switched places with the voice in the crystal.
  • Easily Forgiven: Zigzagged; When Ken offers himself to the Digidestined right after the Digimon Emperor is defeated, they have mixed reactions with TK, Cody, Yolei against him providing very good reasons to not trust him while Davis, Kari, and Shaun (albeit reluctantly) side with him. But once he aided them against Zanbamon this ended up being played straight as the once who are against him suddenly note  decides that he could be trusted despite the fact that not only he didn't really contribute that much but his atrocious acts are mostly forgotten by them.
  • 11th-Hour Superpower: During the Final Battle against Belialmyotismon, Davis uses his armor's special ability to absorb powers to fuse with the entire Digidestined in order to become the ultimate Digiknight to combat him.
  • Empty Shell: Grandkuwagamon becomes one following his transformation into a toy by Piedmon for 24 hours.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Blackwargreymon is constantly curious about the nature of the humans and how the Digidestined's powers could be exploited by threatening the Digidestined.
  • Evil Overlord: Both Dragomon and Demon rule the Dark World. While the former rule the seas in the form of Cthulhu city, the latter rule the land in the form of Archfiend castle. However Myotismon reveals that there were 2 more Dark lords that formerly rule the Dark World, Lucemon and Apocalymon. The former got killed when he attempts to duel Dragomon to the death after gaining his Chaos Mode while the latter gets sealed by the Original Digidestined before dying for good by the first generation Digidestined.
  • Evil vs. Evil: During the last third arc of the story, UmbraDevimon and Demon both invade the Real World at the same time; apparently deciding that it's not big enough for both of them, they start throwing their armies at each other in order to wipe each other out. And then, the Gravemon invade as well, and they suddenly find something more dangerous to worry about.
  • Everyone Has a Special Move: Each of four Holy Armor possesses a unique ability that correlates with the Digidestined's powers.
    • Telepathy: Shaun's armor of Wisdom allows him to read the minds of other people
    • Energy Absorption: Davis armor of Miracles allows him to absorb powers. Darkheart abused this ability to absorb the other Digidestined, their Digimon, and the Shadow Mallet.
    • Healing Factor: TK's armor of Hope allows him to heal the other Digimon by granting them hope.
    • Weakened by the Light: Kari's armor of Light allows her to repel everything associated with darkness using her own power of light.
  • The Exile: One of the Elitemon from the Forbidden City, Futa Ishisamee is nicknamed an "The Outcast" by his other fellows because he entered the real world before The Great Journey had begun which results in his meeting with his Digidestined partner Hiroaki Ishida.
  • Expanded Universe: The author directly expands the Digimon universe and cast either with his own made-up explanation that fits their pre-made characters, or adapt the explanation based on other sources.
  • Faking the Dead: Shaun deceives the Emperor and briefly the Digidestined using his projector by making them believe that (Wargreymon) truly killed Magnaangemon. The Emperor is enraged upon realizing this and decides declare a total war on the Digital World.
  • Fantastic Nuke: Chimeramon's Doomsday Viper is capable of leveling both an entire sector and the Emperor's base. Umbradevimon also uses it against the Gravemon, which is strong enough for The Mind to force itself to remove the psychic barrier to protect itself allowing the dark mega to escape from the Gravemon dome.
  • Fantastic Racism: Due to the Digimon's assault on Odaiba, most of the citizens believed that Digimons were nothing more than mindless monsters bent on destruction.
  • Fighting from the Inside: After Darkheart has been defeated by Kari's holy armor transformation, Davis's eye color begun fluctuating meaning that they are still trying to wrestle control of the other.
  • Fighting Your Friend: No thanks to Umbradevimon's corruption, the Digidestined ended up having to fight Davis Motomiya in his corrupted form, aka Darkheart.
  • Final Boss: Myotismon in the form of Belialmyotismon is set up as the last boss of the original story that the Digidestined will face.
  • Five-Man Band: For the Original Digidestined:
    • The Hero: Hiroaki Ishida, the parent that is most involved parent in the Odaiba fog 4 years ago.
    • The Lancer: Joshua Kido who is not only stern and strict but is also one of the most skeptical about the Digital World.
    • The Big Guy: Hiroki Hida, Oikawa's only friend and is the one who dies Taking the Bullet meant for a snipe attack on the Prime Minister.
    • The Smart Girl: Teela Yamaki, the one who is obsessed with cards and directly invents the Digimon Tamers card game.
    • The Chick: Miranda Akiyama, the grandmother of Ryo Akiyama and is the one who keeps the original Digidestined in line such as calming down Joshua and Teela when they argue about Oikawa's redemption.
    • Tomboy and Girly Girl: Teela is the tomboy girl to Miranda's girly girl.
  • Five Rounds Rapid: Averted during the Odaiba War, when the defenders decides to unleash Raptor jet planes against both Umbradevimon and Demon only for them to easily swath them aside like some flies on a sandpaper. The USA military also would have brought navies and jet planes to help Odaiba but Demon's fiery typhoon prevents them from interfering.
  • Fix Fic: One of the only 2 Digimon Adventure 02 remake (The other one is Digimon Adventure 02: The Story We Never Told) that the author genuinely dedicate his time in developing the remake.
  • For the Evulz: What is Darkheart's motivation for destroying Primary Village, torturing and beating up the Digidestined to an inch of their life and absorbing them when he is finished with them? It's because he can and he will. This is eventually Davis's biggest Berserk Button as it reminds him of Darkheart and his own deeds.
  • Forgot About His Powers: Despite the fact that Umbradevimon has Doomsday Viper the entire time, he only uses it to get out of Gravemon's dome. There are other times when the attack could prove useful such as either fighting against Demon, or during his last stand against the Digidestined.
  • Freudian Slip: When Shaun sees Tai and Sora about to get killed by Skullsatamon, in desperation, he accidentally blurted out that Tai and Sora are his own parents from another timeline which forced him to reveal the Digidestined his true history.
  • Friendless Background: Before meeting Kari at the age of 8, Davis has literally no friends nor is he able to spend time with his own families due to neglect. After meeting Kari and eventually becoming best friends, Davis begins having a crush on her. This allows Umbradevimon to use his jealousy and hatred for TK at his advantage to create to Darkheart.
  • Foreshadowing: During the Digimon emperor arc, Dragomon mentions that there are three other threats that he must also deal with. Those three are revealed to be Umbradevimon, Demon, and Myotismon.
  • Fusion Dance: While DNA Digivolving does exist in this fan fiction, the DNA Digivolve partners and their Digimons are radically different.
    • Aetherdramon for Davis and Kari
    • Goliamon for Ken and Yolei
    • Metalangemon for TK and Cody

     G-L
  • Generic Doomsday Villain: The Gravemon has no personality or motives other than assimilating other beings into its "Grave". Its just an incredibly deadly Digimon that both the Guardian Beast and Dragomon himself fear. Then again, when you are based upon the concept of the Flood from Halo universe, you obviously wont have that much personality compared to other big games such as Devimon, Demon, Dragomon, and even Darkheart.
  • Go Out with a Smile: Shaun, in his dying moments, fully aware that he managed to accomplish his mission, finally felt happy after millenia of roaming around the Digital World, sacrificing himself to destroy Belialmyotismon's Digicore.
  • Gone Horribly Right: Had Umbradevimon returns to the Digital World with Darkheart still alive, he would realized that his efforts to corrupt the Child of Miracles ended up creating more than a instrument of evil for him to use. Rather, he became a sadistic evil being that managed to truly put the Digidestined on the ropes.
  • Grand Theft Me: Myotismon steals the body of the soulless Piedmon using both his soul transfer and soul banishment when he is sucked into a mysterious wormhole that seemingly relocates him to the dark crystal.
  • Great Offscreen War:
    • 4 years before the start of the series, a massive war broke out between Ryo Akiyama, the four sovereigns and Shaun and his parter against Zeedmilleniummon. The battle is so fierce that an entire continent has been created based on this entire confrontation.
    • Another even earlier war is the battle between Huanglongmon and Lucemon, Demon, Dragomon, and Apocalymon and their armies.
  • Groin Attack: Immediately after his soccer match against Ken ends, Davis ended up having the ball landed into his own crotch, obviously wincing him in the process.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Yolei's short temper is more pronounced here as she gets easily angered over the trivial things as well as Davis.
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: What happens to Skullsatamon as a result of Shaun's melee beatdown.
  • Ham-to-Ham Combat: Both Koromon and Demiveemon have a shouting match during chapter 7 regarding who would win, Tai or Davis.
  • Home Field Advantage: Demon's Archfiend castle corrupts the land around the Dark World around him, which amplifies Demon's power. He relocates Archfiend Castle to the Real World during the ceasefire with Umbradevimon after losing out more Bakemon than he intended to allow him to manifest his power at an even greater extent.
  • Hot Springs Episode: Chapter 27 features the entire Digidestined spending some time in the hot springs as a Call-Back to the first original series, with the same scenarios of Gomammon attempting poke into the girls side of the spa and Joe being Shower Shy. Added with the Veemon, Hawkmon and Armadrillomon entering the girls spa oblivious to the consequences and Gatomon kicking Gomamon into the spa as revenge.
  • How We Got Here: Chapter 17 starts with Shaun alone in Little Edo about to be blasted by the Gekomons, the rest of the story flashes back 92 minutes of how he managed to attain this position.
  • Hypocrite:
    • A debatable and controversial example occurs during chapter 18 when Shaun calls Davis out for abandoning TK just so that he could have Kari all for himself. On one hand, Shaun abandon Cody because he has outright saw that there is no hope of trying to rescue him although thankfully, Cody managed to armor digivolve his Armodrillomon into Submarimon and survive, on the other hand, Shaun has no outright confirmation that TK might still be alive and that Davis abandon him because he has no choice.
    • A less controversial and certainly more accepting however is when Belialmyotismon pleads for mercy from Huanglongmon only for Huanglongmon to call him an outright hypocrite as he has abuse his powers for his own selfish purpose.
  • I Did What I Had to Do: Shaun's justification for leaving Cody to die when Yolei confronts him about it.
  • Indecisive Medium: Whenever the story begins, a character often sums up the previous chapters akin to the Digimon Anime and begins with the name of the chapter as if it is an episode. Later Zero 2 stories starting with Housemates remove this feature as they are no longer an adaptation of the original source but rather is a direct sequel to the fan fiction.
  • I Have Your Wife: Oikawa holds Hiroaki's ex-wife soon to be wife Natsuko hostage to persuade Hiroaki to give him the Digivice in chapter 57.
  • In Love with Your Carnage: Ladydevimon enjoys it when Demon loses his cool upon being trapped by Gravemon, forcing him to unleash his full power.
  • In Spite of a Nail: Despite all of the changes due to Shaun's entrance into the past, Myotismon remains as the Final Boss, or rather a Myotismon that took massive levels in competence.
  • Instant Death Bullet: Shaun fires his own desert eagle at Palidomon's brain, instantly resulting in its own death. This actually shocks the Digidestined as they never saw anyone use gunpowder before.
  • Invincible Villain: Dragomon once stated during his monolougues that Darkheart will be the hardest foe the Digidestined will have to face, and he is not kidding. When Darkheart first appeared, he curb-stomps the entire Digidestined including Aetherdramon, Shaun, and Omnimon through pragmatism and took advantage of their hesitance to hurt Davis. After reappearing with a free will and a growing taste for destruction, Darkheart returns to No-Sell all of the Digidestined's Digimons attacks, curb-stomps them to the ground and absorbs them all one-by-one, failing to significantly hinder him in his absorbing spree whatsoever. The same results happen 8 times before he is finally taken down. But it ends up being too little too late as the entire Odaiba becomes leveled with the citizens including Davis's parents and Cody's grandfather dying as well due to the attacks by Umbradevimon's black gears army, Demon's and his Black Generals, and Gravemon and its Warriors. Essentially, Darkheart is the Zero 2's version of Blackwargreymon only even more relentless and dangerous.
  • Irony: Oikawa not only became a Digidestined despite selling humanity to Demon but also has Blackwargreymonnote  as his partner. He immediately decides to use the power to help the Digital world.
  • It's All My Fault: Shaun completely blames himself for releasing Demon from his prison and massacring the entire Digidestined
  • Just Desserts: How do Alienmon an unstoppable ultimate machine that can kill off and devour even the Terminator units meet its end? By being devoured and chewed upon by Whamon thanks to Cody's assistance.
  • Karma Houdini:
    • The original timeline Demon managed to successfully kill off the entire Digidestined after being broken free by Shaun. Yes he dies from Omnimon but he is a Digimon which means that he will simply be reborn while the Digidestined will never be.
    • The Hierachs kick the Digidestined out of their city knowing full well that Darkheart is pursuing them simply because they don't want their influence taint their own Elitemons like Futa Ishisamee. This is never brought up again in later chapters.
  • Kick The Son Of A Bitch:
    • Upon Piedmon being defeated and realize that his efforts to backstab Umbradevimon attained to nothing, Umbradevimon decides to Mind Rape Piedmon into his puppet with the Touch of Evil. Since Piedmon attacked the Digidestined, Blackwargreymon and turned their Digimons and Grandkuwagamon into puppets just for the chance that he can somehow overthrow Devimon, his retribution is a bit deserving.
    • The first thing Darkheart does upon realizing his own sadistic free will is to immediately crush Puppetmon's neck until his head is separated from his body. Said victim is also responsible for putting the Digidestined's life on the line with his own crazy games and obstacle course so it hard to feel for him.
  • Kid from the Future: Shaun Kamiya, 25 years into the future after accidentally unleashing Demon and decides to travel back in time to stop himself from releasing him only to travel way too far back and radically alter the storyline of the Digimon universe.
  • Killed Off for Real: A Digimon will truly die if either their soul is destroyed (Like Piedmon, or (Wargreymon)) or their partner dies, making them commit suicide. Even though they will be reconfigured in the Primary Village, they will not be the same Digimon that appeared before their deletion.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Despite the fact that the villains often always put the Digidestined on the ropes, there is always a feeling of hope that the Digidestined will eventually triumph over the dark forces. Darkheart aka Davis's corrupted form however, is an entirely different beast as his true entrance to the Digidestined involves him destroying the entire Primary Village as well as continously overpowering and tortures the entire Digidestined because he can, absorbing them one-by-one with the heroes unable to do anything other than run away from him to stop his continuous pursuit to become the greatest villain of all time. In short, his mere presence not only single-handedly prevents the Digidestined from returning to the real world and stop both Umbradevimon and Demon's invasion from leveling the entire city of Odaiba but also turns the story into one of the bleakest moment in the entire Zero 2 series.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: Once the Gravemon arrived and massacres everyone inside the dome, Umbradevimonnote  Gravemon realizes that the Gravemon are above his own league and decides to get out of the dome as soon as possible.
  • Lemony Narrator: The author frequently lapses into this during the lighter moments, this begins to fade away as the story becomes more and more serious.
  • Large and in Charge: Being fused with the data of Chimeramon, Umbradevimon towers over his other fellow Mega henchmens.
  • Last Villain Stand:
    • Umbradevimon has just lost his entire army to both Demon and Gravemon, his greatest creation Darkheart defeated, every single one of his minions are dead, and the Digidestined are arriving to finish him off before he could muster another army. Umbradevimon simply makes a vow that he will crush them and make his last stand.
    • Demon has just lost his entire Bakemon army along with his Black Generals to the likes of the Forbidden City Digimons as well as the Digidestined, and has his own Archfiend Castle destroyed. Demon gets cornered by the Digidestined, decides to unleash his full power, and then "Piedmon" aka Myotismon just swoops in and kills him with a simple soul banishment before Demon could make his last stand.
  • Limit Break: Some of the Digimons possessed an ultimate attack that is capable of causing widespread damage.
    • Chimeramon and Umbradevimon: Doomsday Viper
    • Magnamon and Davis: Magna Explosion
    • Angemon: Godly typhoon
    • Darkheart: Sword of the Apocalypse
  • Loads And Loads Of Characters: Multitudes of OC's appear throughout the story from the Digidestined's parents that are given names not present in the original, covenant prophets and their soldiers, the local policeman of Odaiba where one of them is sick of being a police and wants to do something more, to the soldiers and the current American president of United States. And that's not mentioning the original Digidestined or the villains
  • Locked Out of the Fight: The fiery typhoon by Demon prevents the military reinforcements from USA from entering Odaiba to help.
  • Lured into a Trap: The Emperor plans to sent the Digidestined to an elaborate trap in the Vally of Death by immediately reclaiming the sector after the Control Spire is freed and knowing that the Digidestined will stop the sector from fortifying itself, lures them to his trap. Had Shaun not decided to personally interfere, the Digidestined would have surely been eliminated.

     M-R
  • Overprotective Mom: Aside from being mostly terrible at cooking Yuuko Kamiya is very protective of her children to the point of immediately attempting to strange Gennai upon realizing that the Digidestined are trapped in the Digital World.
  • Manipulative Bastard: This Umbradevimon's greatest skill that allowed him to return his rise to power over the Digital world, creating the Superpowered Evil Side Darkheart, and go toe to toe with Demon, despite being the most powerful being of the Dark world. As is later shown, without the Digidestined's Digivolution that are made of him, he is just as strong as the average mega Digimon that the Digidestined fought.
  • Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: Yolei serves as the tomboyish hot-headed girl towards Ken's shy and quiet boy.
  • The Maze: Wanting to toy around with his victims, Darkheart uses the Shadow Mallet to create a labyrinth with his own Imps stalking them.
  • Mercy Kill: Jun in the end, has no choice but to kill her own parents because they have been infected by the Gravemon with no hope of saving them.
  • Mêlée à Trois: The citizen of Odaiba vs Umbradevimon's army vs Demon's army. Later Gravemon joins the scene and massacres most of the survivors. Demon in the end won.
  • Mind Rape: Umbradevimon subjects poor Davis with his touch of evil which results in the creation of Darkheart.
  • Mineral Macguffin: Within the wormhole sectors, there lies a solidised Dark Ocean called the Dark Crystal that is said to be a good preserver of life. Myotismon used it to escape from his death and body-snatches Piedmon after being teleported there. He never tells anyone about this due to its importance, lest anyone will attempt to interogate his goonies for the location and destroy the crystal.
  • Mistaken for Cheating: The reason for the divorce between Hiroaki and Natsuko is because she beleives that he came home late out of sleeping with another girl when in truth, he is keeping in touch with the Original Digidestined.
  • The Mole: The Digimon Emperor decides to act as a mole for himself by posing as an innocent kid known as Ken in hopes that the Digidestined believes that Shaun sides with the Digimon Emperor only to be exposed by Shaun himself.
  • Mood-Swinger: According to Davis himself; Yolei (Can change from a hot-tempered girl to a sweet caring lady), Jun (Being his own sister who often idolizes Matt), and Mimi (When she found out about the fate of Palmon, she changes from cheerful to silence to suddenly determined to save her Palmon at all costs) can and will always change their dispositions at a drop of a hat.
  • Mood Whiplash: Immediately after Shaun managed to reunite with the Digidestined to escape from Darkheart's clutches, it is followed by a hilarious fourth-wall breaking moment about how the author must get on with the story after this BLAM, Darkheart instantly appears and suddenly the tone becomes dark again.
  • Murder the Hypotenuse: At one point in the story, Davis considers leaving TK to die in the Emperor's first fortress just so that he could have Kari all by himself before Shaun calls him out on this.
Shaun: You disgust me. (Davis: Wha...what did I?). YOU KNOW WHAT YOU DID! YOU LEFT TK BEHIND TO DIE AT THE HANDS OF THAT MONSTER! You don't think I know how you feel about Kari? You don't think I know how much you despise TK because of how much attention Kari has paid to him since he moved in! You listen to me...you may think getting TK out of the way in this fashion will leave your hands stainless? Heck no! You'll be just as guilty as the executioner! And suppose Kari starts paying attention to you again...will it be worth watching her cope with the sadness of losing her oldest friend! IS IT WORTH IT! (Davis: No...) We are going to save TK; we've already lost Cody. I refuse to let another one of us die!
  • My Death Is Just the Beginning: In the Bad Future, Demon lets himself killed by Omnimon despite threatening to kill him should he kills off Davis and Kari fully aware that he can simply be reborn and have killed all the local Odaiba Digidestined.
Demon: I am a Digimon, like you. I will eventually reborn. However, humans do not have that luxury. I have destroyed the Digidestined. My mark has been made on humanity. Deletion is a small price to pay...but I know that none of you will be around by the time I am reborn. Heh heh...till then, I'll see your soul in Digital Limbo. Ha ha ha ha!
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Oikawa when he realizes that by making a deal to Demon just to head to the Digital world, he has essentially caused thousands of people to die.
  • My Greatest Failure: For Davis, creating his own corrupted half Darkheart.
  • My Master, Right or Wrong: This is Gryphonmon's entire sthick, being based on a real-life Griffin, he is loyal only to Umbradevimon's cause alone simply because he is the creator of him.
Gryphonmon: I am well aware of my real world couterparts; In a time where gods fight titans for the destiny of mortals, the griffins were the servants of the god Zeus. It is our fate to serve those who are rulers. Umbradevimon, in my eyes, is the ruler of the Digital World. Besides...as my creator, I am bound to him.
  • Mysterious Protector: Before he makes his true debut when he saves the Digidestined from the Emperor's Death Trap, Shaun keeps a close eye on them, helping out in the sidelines whenever possible such as either break Davis free from the Emperor's control or intercepting the reinforcements before they could arrive.
  • Named by the Adaptation: All of the Digidestined's parents, even those that were not named in the canon were given full names.
  • Naming Conventions: To differentiate between the two Agumons that both Shaun and Tai have, Shaun's Agumon is written in brackets like (Agumon).
  • Never Found the Body: Davis believes that Shaun is still alive because he never found his own body. Becomes a Brick Joke when Shaun finally dies for good at the end of the series with his body intact.
  • Nigh-Invulnerability: The Flan Digimons, despite being ultimate-levels, are extremely resilient as not even an attack from a Mega like (Wargreymon) are incapable of harming them. The only way to kill them is to destroy its own brain.
  • Nightmare Sequence: Each Digidestined suffers from different nightmares depending on their own worst fears thanks to Belialmyotismon's gaze of despair. Interestingly, the tone between each dream sequences range from genuinely terrifying to hilarious nightmares from Kari's encounter with Dragomon to Mimi being bethroted with Chumon and Sukamon and being drenched with 'sludge'
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Knowing full well that the surviving Digidestined (Kari, TK, Paildramon, and Angewomon) are unable to threaten him whatsoever, Darkheart delivers brutal beatdown on both TK and Angewomon until they are on the verge of death before finally absorbing them.
  • Noodle Incident: When the Kari sides along with Davis in believing Ken's worth, she mentions that she gave Davis a second chance a lot of times before the story begins. What sort of incidents that cause Kari to lose patience with Davis at times is unknown and the author never brought this concept up again.
  • Nuke 'em: The Emperor's "surprise" to the controlled residents as well as Shaun himself in Little Edo is to throw a frickin nuclear warhead towards the location.
  • Odd Friendship: Just like how Joe the scaredy-cat gets Gomamon the joker, his father, the stern and strict Joshua gets the troublemaker Demidevimon.
  • Official Couple: As shown in the original future and reflected in the fan fiction timeline, Tai & Sora (Taiora), Matt and Mimi (Mimato), Ken and Yolei (Kenlei), Davis and Kari (Daikari)
  • Older Than They Look: Shaun has the body of a twelve year old kid but in fact, he has lived for 8 earth years which is the equivalent to 5765 years in the Digital world.
  • One-Hit KO: The Guardian Beast show off their power when they one-shots a powerful Mega Digimon like Umbradevimon or Belialmyotismon
  • One-Winged Angel:
    • Much like the original, Myotismon evolves into Belialmyotismon during his first and final battle against the Digidestined except that this time, instead of being defeated by preaching their hopes and dreams in which Davis himself mocks this when he encounters him in the original universe, he is deafeated by the fusion of Davis and the rest of the Digidestined. Belialmyotismon evolves even further when he ultilizes the power of Huanglongmon, the creator of the Digital sovereigns essentially becoming even stronger than Zeedmilleniummon.
    • A more literal example is Darkheart's fifth threshold transforming from a giant dragon to a human-sized dark angel.
  • Orcus on His Throne: After spending a chapter torturing the Digidestined for kicks and shows his power and triumphs, Umbradevimon for some reason just sits down on his own lair doing little to personally deal against the Digidestined, he simply waits until his army has been amassed enough. However, after Piedmon ended up being defeated, he decides to personally steps in and deal with the entire Digidestined as well as personally commands his entire force into battle, dueling against Demon in the process.
  • Original Character: In addition to Shaun and his Digimon (Agumon), there is also Joshua Kido, the entire Forbidden city Digimon, Gravemon, Dragomon, Darkheart, Nega, Teela Yamaki, Miranda Akiyama, the local Odaiba policemen, the Flan Digimon, and also a number of other existing Digimons that previously derived from other sources. Later sequels would introduce even more characters to the story.
  • Out-of-Character Moment: When the Digidestined "invites" Shaun into an Arcade in hopes that he will talk to them, Shaun all of a sudden becomes excited like little kid and plays the machines such as the dance with all his heart. The Digidestined are dumbstruck at such personality change.
  • Outside-Context Problem: Aside from being a Shout-Out to Halo, the Gravemon is completely different than all other villain that the Digidestied faced, being a Hive Mind and all.
  • Our Wormholes Are Different: Outside the Forbidden City sectors have wormholes that can teleport anyone to any place at any will. According to Myotismon, the barrier within the Digital World and Dark World are incredibly weak around these sectors.
  • Peggy Sue: The entire reason Zero 2: A revision have started in the first place is because Shaun wants to stop his past self from releasing Demon and kills of all the other Digidestined only to end up travelling way too far to the past radically changing the original universe.
  • Physical God: Huanglongmon, the creator of the Guardian Beasts is one of the first Digimon to be born in the Digital World and is stronger than both Zeedmileniummon and even Belialmyotismon as shown in the end when he blasts off Belialmyotismon with just one attack.
  • Power Creep: By the second half of Zero 2, anyone who could not Digivolve into a Mega will be worfed into the ground (That is, all the first generation Digidestined who is not Tai, Matt, TK, and Kari) to Krillin and Yamcha levels and almost all major conflicts that will happen will often be in Mega levels.
  • Power Incontinence: Belialmyotismon claims that Zeedmileniummon's body could not contain his own time-warping powers.
  • Power Limiter: Demon's cloak acts as a suppressor in order to prevent torching other minions around him and to achieve control over his powers.
  • Powered Armor: This fan fiction introduces Holy Armors for Shaun, Davis, TK, and Kari which enhances their physical abilities and allows the Digidestined to fight alongside their own Digimons.
  • Precursors: Before Taichi's generation made their mark on the Digital World, five older generations Digidestined that precede even The Order appeared in the Digital World. Not only do they seal Apocalymon within the Great Wall of Fire as told by Gennai but also seal away the Gravemon and stops Demon's first invasion to the real world. The members are Hiroaki Ishida and an Elitemon, Hiroki Hida and Gabumon, Teela Yamaki and Lopmon, Miranda Akiyama and Hagurumon, and Joshua Kido and Demidevimon
  • The Promised Land: According to Azulongmon, the Prophet of Omniscience foretold a Great Journey that encompasses the Forbidden City Digimon travelling into the Real World.
  • Psychopathic Manchild: Darkheart enjoys torturing and killing other Digimon and Digidestined for shits and giggles but when he is losing, he throws a temper tantrum easily and fights more seriously.
  • Pungeon Master: Darkheart loves making puns out of any occurences happening once he starts gaining a personality best shown when he pokes fun of all the attacks of the Digimon as he easily repels of all of the attacks.
Darkheart:(Horn Buster) You couldn't bust anything with that!
(Vulcan's Hammer) Roman god of fire and metalworking my butt! Switch mythologies!
(Wing Blade) Too dull to cut anything much less Me.
(Hand of Fate) You call that holy energy? You couldn't give an IMP a conniption with a weak attack like that!
(Flower Cannon) Wasn't the saying 'make peace, not war?' Stick to flower power, missy.
(Terra Force) With a wimpy attack like that, you put the Earth to shame!
(Static Buster) You call that electricity? Up the voltage!
(Insect Spike) You put bees to shame!
(Spike Rain) You're a disgrace to the dinosaurs!
(Miraculous Daggers) Nothing miraculous about those little cudgels!
(Transcedent Sword) Transcendent? With the way you just landed, you couldn't inspire anyone!
(Blue Dash) Not a lot of dash...but you sure look blue.
The rest of the Digimon and Shaun: STOP MAKING PUNS OUT OF OUR ATTACKS
Darkheart: Hey, it's making you all miserable...besides, it's fun.
  • Really Dead Montage: Shaun upon finally dying from the Digicores explosion
  • Really 700 Years Old: Shaun and (Agumon) has lived through the entire journey from the Wargreymon vs Parrotmon incident four years before the start of Digimon Adventure meaning that they are 5765 years old.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech:
    • Yolei will not hesitate to speak everything what she is to say about a person that pissed her off.
Yolei(Towards Digitamamon): How dare you?! Even though you're under the Emperor's control, it takes a real jerk to act like this!!! Here we are, just sitting down to eat at YOUR restaurant! Mimi treats like an old friend, and all you give us is a cold shoulder! And now you're threatening to kill us...some 'old friend' you are!!! (Digitamamon: But...I was ordered-) CAN IT!!! So what if I think you're a jerk?! It may be just the Emperor's Dark Spiral, but who cares?! I still think you're acting like a monster!!!
    • Daniel gives one to Oikawa upon seeing him threatening Natsuko for Hiroaki's Digivice.
Daniel: You are not only without common sense, but you are a fool! Look out that window! Odaiba is up in flames and in ruins! A maelstrom of death and destruction has claimed this entire district! And once Demon is finished here, he'll move further on and conquer new areas! His power is so great that any nation's military could be laid to waste by him! But if it hadn't been for you, he wouldn't even be here!
Oikawa: ......what are you getting at?
Daniel: There have been hundreds of human deaths today, maybe thousands! Had you not given Demon what he wanted, he wouldn't even be here! Do you realize that the deaths of all the humans since this invasion began are on YOUR HANDS!... (After stopping Oikawa from shooting the hostage) You were about to shoot her. Let me ask you two more questions. One: who do you think is the worse monster; Demon, or yourself? And two: do you think Hiroki would have wanted this? I think you know the answers.
  • Recruited from the Gutter: According Nola Kusulumee, all 70 members of the Order including Gennai previously were once in a perpetual state of poverty, homelessness, and poor so when the Guardian Beast offers them a passage to the Digital World to safeguard them from mankind's interference, they all willingly accepted, imbuing them with special powers in the process.
  • Redemption Earns Life: As a reward for Taking the Bullet for an attack meant at Davis, Blackwargreymon gets to be reborn as a true Digimon.
  • Relationship Upgrade: By chapter 30 and 31, both Tai and Matt confess their love to Sora and Mimi respectively. While Matt succeeds easily, Tai did not fare as well until Mimi decides to literally make them up together.
  • Remembered I Could Fly: When the Imps are about to corner Cody and Armodillomon in Darkheart's labyrinth, they realized that they have Digmon that could dig their way out of the labyrinth.
  • Reset Button: Subverted at the end when Huanglongmon managed to completely restore the city of Odaiba into its pristine self, but the people who dies during the Odaiba war remains dead and not even the power of the Guardian Beasts can revive them back. This includes Shaun, Cody's grandfather, and Davis's parents.
  • Retcon: Despite the fact Shaun states that he came from the original timeline, the Digidestined couples are radically different than what is perceived in the original Distant Finale sans Kenyako (Ken and Yolei). While the canon incarnation's timeline has Sora and Matt marry each other and the other Digidestined choosing couples other than the Digidestined, Shaun's original timeline has Taiora (Tai and Sora) of which he is the second son to, Daikari (Davis and Kari), and Mimato (Mimi and Matt) as the Official Couple. Obviously other than the Tai and Sora that he blurted out, he kept all of the other mentions of this in the dark to prevent issues of pre-destined love.

     S-Z
  • Sadist: What Shaun essentially fears that Darkheart will obtain a personality and decides to torture other Digidestined out of pure sadism. Unfortunately his fears were proven completely true when he massacres the entire File Island.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Anytime Umbradevimon either found Demon or managed to get completely outclassed by the other Dark Digimons such as the Gravemon, he would immediately create a portal to teleport away from them.
  • Sequel: The author has released compilations of stories that happens after the Odaiba War.
  • Set Right What Once Went Wrong: This is Shaun's original intention; to stop his past self from opening the portal that releases Demon from prison.
  • Shut Up, Hannibal!: How Davis replies to the Emperor speech about the notion of friendship.
Emperor: Are you actually willing to give up your life for these wretches?
Davis: Friends are supposed to look out for each other, no matter what the cost is...or no matter how annoying some are (Yolei). And if it means giving my life to save theirs...so be it! Not like you'd know!
  • Simple, yet Awesome: How Mimi and Matt decides to hook-up Tai and Sora after they botch their initial attempt? By simply blindfolding them to each other and have them talk about the issue. They both even lampshade it.
  • Sinister Surveillance: The Emperor's Dark Rings and Umbradevimon's Black Gears allows the villains to completely monitor the Digidestined's movements and actions.
  • Sizeshifter: To combat Umbradevimon more easily, Demon decides to grow in size to match his massive hulk. He reverts back to normal size due its negative impact on his stamina.
  • Small Role, Big Impact:
    • Skullsatamon is introduced as one of Demon's most trusted Black Generals whom request Demon that he head out and have some fun with the Digidestined. Even though he ends up getting killed after his brief appearances by Shaun, his influence in the plot is tremendous. He is the one who kills Blackwargreymon which results in Davis unlocking his own Holy Armor of Miracles, when he tries to take down Tai and Sora along with him, Shaun on instinct calls them as his parents before striking Skullsatamon down which forces Shaun to reveal his true origins. In the mean time, Umbradevimon, previously unsure of which Digidestined to corrupt, decides to corrupt Davis Motomiya after watching the fight. Finally Demon forgot to close his portal used to teleport Skullsatamon which gives Demon a chance to completely corrupt a currently soulless Darkheart into a sadistic being using his own Dark Spores.
    • The original timeline Demon. He only appeared in one chapter during Shaun's origin story before dying but his massacre of the Digidestined is what motivates him into time travelling to the past and create the new Zero 2 timeline.
  • Soul Jar: Myotismon seals himself inside a Dark Crystal, waiting for a suitable host to arrive to his location to switch souls with.
  • The Soulless: Darkheart in his first appearance is nothing more than a mindless servant of Umbradevimon before Demon implanted Dark Spores within him giving Darkheart a sadistic and cruel personality who enjoys inflicting torment towards the Digidestined.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Both Oikawa and Blackwargreymon managed to survive the entire confrontation with the evil Digimons although Blackwargreymon subverts this as he reincarnates from a control spire Digimon into a full-fledged one. Incidentally Blackwargreymon is Oikawa's new Digimon partner.
  • The Starscream:
  • Superpowered Evil Side: Darkheart, Davis's darker half as well as Nega, Shaun's darker half.
  • Supervillain Lair: Demon and Dragomon, being the strongest Digimons of the Dark World, both control a building dedicated towards them. The former owns Archfiend Castle and controls the land around him while the latter owns the City of Cthulhu and controls the Dark Ocean around him
  • Super-Speed: This is what Sonoccomon's ability relies upon. In fact, when he hates it when he is forced to run at normal speed.
  • Surveillance as the Plot Demands: Demon's Dark Spores apparently allows the devil to track down anyone he wished to find with his own telepathy. He implanted the Dark Spores within Demidevimon to lead him to the Original Digidestined and have his revenge for his defeat.
  • Tailor-Made Prison: The Forbidden City Digimons had created a massive Trash Bin Swamp all to contain a single type of Digimons known as the Gravemon, a deadly plague/virus that both the Guardian Beast and Dragomon themselves fear.
  • Taking the Bullet:
    • This is how Cody's father died, as he take the bullet for the American ambassador.
    • Blackwargreymon decides to sacrifice himself from Skullsatamon's attack towards Davis, feeling a wave of satisfaction after doing this.
  • Taking You with Me: Whenever a villain realizes that they are about to die, they often try to take at least a single Digidestined with them. Arukenimon for Shaun, Skullsatamon for Tai and Sora, and Darkheart for Ken and Yolei when he thinks that he will be sucked to the Gates of Extinction.
  • Talking Is a Free Action: Averted when T-2 proclaims Game over before shooting Yolei which buys Shaun enough time to kick the gun out of T-2's arm.
  • Telepathy: One of Demon's ability and later Shaun is to be able to read the minds of other beings. This actually results in a telepathic battle between Shaun and Demon during their confrontation before Demon decides to counter that by simply attack like a berserker. Too bad he got one-shotted by "Piedmon"/Myotismon before he gets to fight the entire Digidestined.
  • This Means War!: After the Digimon Emperor realizes that Shaun fakes Magnaangemon's death by (Wargreymon), the Emperor becomes completely enraged and decides to declare total war on the entire Digital World.
  • Time Travel Escape: Umbradevimon saves Puppetmon and Piedmon from death using Grandkuwagamon's Dimensional Scissors. He does not save Metalseadramon or Machinedramon because they are killed in broad daylight and doing so will cause a massive time paradox in doing so.
  • Tired of Running: After seeing Angewomon and all the other Digidestined and their Digimon got absorbed by Darkheart, Kari decides not to run away from Darkheart but instead stand down and confront him despite knowing she stands absolutely no chance against the Dark Angel.
Kari: I've always been the damsel in distress; I've always relied on everyone...but no one's ever relied on me...and I'm tired of it. I'm the Child of Light. I'm the last Digidestined left. And for the sake of both worlds...for the sake of everyone I love and care for...I won't fail. I've always had faith in my friends...and I still do. Even in you...Davis Motomiya.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Devimon, from a Starter Villain in the first anime into a major Big Bad of the Digidestined and also the villain that last the longest. He also goes from a very powerful Champion into a Mega Digimon at his weakest and beyond Mega at his strongest.
  • Transformation Is a Free Action: For some reason whenever Darkheart is about to transform into his next stage, all the Digidestined can do is either wait for him to finish or immediately flee from him despite the fact that they could just attack him in the middle of the transformation.
  • Tranquil Fury: (Wargreymon) has this reaction when he believes that Arukenimon kills Shaun when he decides to look for Blackwargreymon.
  • Trapped in Another World: Thanks to Gennai's Great Seal, both the Digidestined and Umbradevimon's forces are trapped in the Digital World. Until Davis obtains the Crest of Miracles and breaks the Great Seal.
  • Trying Not to Cry: Under Hiroki Hida's advice to his son, Cody never sheds a tear even if his own father dies as he believes that he has to be strong to support his own mother Anna Hida.
  • Undying Loyalty: Gryphonmon, no matter what Umbradevimon had done and the fact that he is a dark Digimon, will stay eternally loyal to him regardless of the circumstances.
  • The Unfought: The Mind of the Gravemon is never fought by the Digidestined. Demon unleashed his full power and destroyed it before the Digidestined are able to fight it.
  • Unfortunate Name: Hiroaki's Digimon partner is an Elitemon named Futa. If you know what the name means then well...good for you.
  • Unknown Rival: To Davis, TK is an obstacle for his crush on Kari fearing that she is going to dump him for TK not to mention always being the more rational member of the team. To TK, however Davis is somewhat annoying but still sees him as a good friend. Kari eventually apologises to Davis for not spending more time with him.
  • Unwitting Pawn: The Digimon Emperor Ken ends up being manipulated by the three independent villains to benefit their own plans for world domination.
    • Devimon uses his Black Gears to manipulate Ken into constructing Chimeramon using the components of himself as well as the Digidestined's Digimons in order to use the Chimera to relocate him into the Digital World.
    • Demon manipulates Ken into becoming the Digimon Emperor by preaching a statement about order and chaos and gave a Dark Spore to Ken in hopes that the corruption factor will return Demon back to his former strength and amplify his own dark powers.
    • Myotismon manipulates Ken into constructing the Control Spires in order to weaken the barrier between the Digital World and the Digital Limbo in order to regain the rest of his data that is still trapped in the Limbo.
  • Utopia Justifies the Means: What the Digimon Emperor desired to do; create "order" from the "chaos" into the Digital World in order to prevent any wars from happening again. Demon admits that he made up all those statements in order to give Ken a motive.
  • Villain Teleportation: While the Digidestined and Gennai are restricted at using Digivices to traverse between the two worlds, Dark Digimons like Devimon, "Piedmon", Demon and Dragomon can freely teleport between the Digital, Real, and Dark World although the former two are only capable of opening portals between a Digital World and Real world while the latter two, being one of the two remaining Dark Lords of the Dark World, can freely traverse between the Dark World boundaries.
  • Villainous Breakdown:
    • After Darkheart's defeat by Kari, he clearly loses his cool and very angry, Davis is a victim of his frustration when Darkheart beat-up Davis within his mind just to vent his anger at his loss.
Darkheart: I LOST EVERYTHING!!! I WAS THIS CLOSE!!! I WAS THIS CLOSE TO REACHING MY ULTIMATE POWER!!! BUT NO!!! SHE HAD TO INTERFERE!!! SHE TOOK AWAY EVERYTHING I HAD GAINED!!! AND IT'S ALL. YOUR. FAULT!!!!!
  • Villainous Rescue:
    • Using the power of Grandkuwagamon's dimension slash, Umbradevimon managed to save Piedmon and Puppetmon in the past from imminent death (Umbradevimon states that he cannot save the other dark masters due to their conspicous deaths).
    • Dragomon saves Kari from Darkheart's torture as he needs her alive for his own plans to work.
  • Villainous Underdog: A rare Evil vs. Evil example has Umbradevimon with his own black gear controlled minions against Demon, the strongest Digimon of the Dark World along with his well coordinated minions and his Black Generals. The former easily lost against the red devil though and ends up fleeing.
  • Villains Want Mercy: Belialmyotismon attemps to plead for mercy from the creator of the guardian beasts. Huanglongmon is not amused and instead casts him down to the deepest pits of the dark world.
  • The Virus: Being based upon the Flood from Halo, the Gravemon uses its Spores to turn anything it touches into either a Warrior that acts as the combat soldies or the Incubator which produces even more Spores upon exploding. All of their actions are controlled by The Mind and it is clearly shown without The Mind to control them, they end up fighting without coherent thinking whatsoever.
  • Wake-Up Call Boss: Magnaangemon early on managed to make the entire Digidestined struggle in chapter 14 to the point that Shaun decides to reveal his ultimate weapon: Warp digivolving (Agumon) to its mega level and deceiving the emperor into believing that he killed Magnaangemon.
  • War Fic: The entire fan fiction goes much more bloodier than the actual series. It gives us questions of what would happen if the Digital Emperor was more sociopathic and had nuclear weapons, if Demon attacked the Real World with a real invasion army, if Devimon does more than being a part of Chimeramon and fused with its remains to become a powerful mega that brutally tortures the Digidestined, if the Expy of the Flood the Gravemon from the Halo universe decided to pay a visit and infects the entire citizens of Odaiba desiring to assimilate the others into the "dead", if Devimon corrupts Davis to become Darkheart and becomes an unstoppable juggernaut that comes the closest to defeating the Digidestined. If Belialmyotismon had the power of a God and so on.
  • Webcomic Time: 2 thirds of the story meaning 40 out of 60 chapters, i.e everything after the Digimon emperor's defeat from the beginning to the end all take place within 5 days. This is eventually lampshaded by Izzy to the point that the Digidestined became completely tired after endlessly fighting for so long.
  • We Need a Distraction: In order to buy time for Cody and Shaun to slip past the Emperor's base undetected and disable the generator for the base and turrets, Davis propose taking Cody and Shaun's Digivice after they Armor-Digivolve to make Ken believe that all of the Digidestined have gathered up. It actually works.
  • We Will Meet Again: Before Darkheart is finally defeated by Davis, he says it word to word to Davis that he will soon return.
Darkheart: THIS ISN'T OVER DAVIS MOTOMIYA!!! YOU HEAR ME?!?! THIS ISN'T OVER!!!!!!
  • Wham Episode: Plenty of chapters are a huge plot twist but the biggest twist of all is undoubtedly chapter 38, that reveals who Shaun truly is and how the whole plot began.
  • Wham Line: The whole point where the story begins to branch off at chapter 5:
Shaun: Hello everyone. I suppose you want to know that my name is Shaun...and I'm a Digidestined like you.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Demidevimon gives Joshua Kido aka his Digimon partner a huge rant of anger towards him for abandoning him after the fight with Demon.
Demidevimon: YOU ABANDONED ME!!!!!! AFTER EVERYTHING WE DID, EVERYTHING WE ACCOMPLISHED, YOU HAD THE GALL TO JUST UP AND LEAVE ME!!!!!!! YOU RETURNED TO YOUR COZY LITTLE HOME, AND I NEVER HEARD FROM YOU AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you have any IDEA what that DID TO ME?!! I WAS CRUSHED!!! YOU PRACTICALLY RUINED ANY AND ALL PROGRESS I MADE TOWARD BEING A GOODIE-TWO-SHOES!!! DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT WAS TO MAKE THE TRANSITION BACK TO BAD GUY?!?!?! IT TOOK YEARS!!!!!! I WENT THROUGH BEING MYOTISMON'S TOADY, AND NOW LORD DEMON'S!!! DO YOU THINK I ENJOY SUCKING UP TO THEM??!!! PART OF ME ENJOYS BEING A BADDIE. BUT DEEP DOWN, IT MAKES ME THINK OF YOU AND IT TEARS ME APART!!!!!!!! And now you're back…well if you're expecting me to get on my knees and come crawling back to you. YOU CAN FORGET IT.
  • Woobie, Destroyer of Worlds: After his lover Elizabeth Ishida dies, Shaun becomes a mercenary hunter for 300 years, ruthlessly killing any Digimon, guilty or innocent that stands in his way venting his own vengeance and hatred on the Digimons, ignoring the pleas of Gennai and (Agumon). It is only when Shaun steps through the Dark Ocean and ended up creating his Superpowered Evil Side Nega does in the end, he realized what a monster he has become.
  • The Worf Barrage: This is Digimon, it is obvious that powerful attacks often ended up being shrugged of by the stronger Digimons.
  • The Worf Effect: Darkheart suffers from this when Dragomon swiftly took him down with his Forbidden Trident to save Kari from Darkheart's torture despite having absorbed the power of Omnimon and the Shadow Mallet.
  • World's Strongest Digimon: Huanglongmon, the creator of the Guardian Beasts and the first Digimon ever created is stated to be one of the strongest Digimon to have ever lived, even stronger than Zeedmilleniummon or Belialmyotismon himself. He doesn't dissapoint this when after being freed by the Digidestined, Huanglongmon immediately one-shots Belialmyotismon, whom is even stronger than Zeedmilleniummon, the Time Master.
  • Would Hit a Girl: Hit? Darkheart does not hesitate in mentally and physically torturing Kari, the former by showing her visions of Davis's suffering while the latter by scorching her entire skin by his fingers with the sign "Darkheart was here".
  • Would Hurt a Child: Hurt? Darkheart is fully wiling kill off Baby Digimons in the Primary Village just to give an example to the Digidestined. Best exemplified when he burnw a curious Pabumon on his own palm.
  • You Monster!: Upon seeing Darkheart beating up Davis for attempting to defy against him, Matt declares Darkheart to be a monster in every sense of the word.
  • Your Soul Is Mine!: During his time inside the Dark Crystal, Myotismon learned the Soul Banishment and Soul Transfer, which allows him to destroy the soul of a Digimon, effectively killing them off for good. Myotismon used it to swap Piedmon's body with the Dark Crystal, as well as one-shotting both Devimon, Demon along with (Wargreymon).
  • Your Worst Nightmare: Belialmyotismon delivers the Digidestined's own worst fears which as Shaun noted, is the complete opposite of Malomyotismon who delivers the Digidestined their deepest desires. Shaun eventually snaps them out of it. The nightmares that each of the Digidestined receives are elaborated below:
    • Tai: His little sister Kari dies for his recklessness and Yuuko kills him out of pure rage.
    • Sora: Abandoned by both her parents and the rest of the Digidestined while they were partying and have a happy time together.
    • Matt: His own families blames him for Hiroaki's and Natsuko/Nancy's divorce and later dragged in by his annoying fangirls including Jun.
    • Mimi: Being married and kissed by Sukamon and Chuumon after being thrown 'sludge'.
    • Joe: Majorly screws up a life or death operation by vomiting blood into a patient.
    • Izzy: Loss of all computer knowledge.
    • TK: Instead of Angemon killing Devimon and dying in the process, Devimon instead kills of Angemon right in TK's eyes.
    • Kari: Being assimilated by Dragomon but this time, he succeeds.
    • Ken: Seeing three of his most precious person, Wormmon, Yolei, and Sam being tortured by his own Digimon Emperor self
    • Yolei: Having an entire horde of Davis take vengeance on her, one for each time Yolei picks on Davis
    • Cody: Failing to drag the boulder that is full of corpses to the top of the mountain, falling to the starting point each time.
    • Davis: Seeing his own evil self Darkheart turning the entire Tokyo into a ruin of flames with Darkheart himself sitting on a throne of human corpse with a soulless Kari sitting alongside him.
  • Zerg Rush:
    • The Dark Masters managed to defeat and seal the Guardian beasts by ganging up on them on at a time knowing full well of the Sovereigns powers.
    • How Umbradevimon plans to invade the world; by utilising 1 million black gear controlled Digimons of varying levels. Predictably his forces got easily defeated by both Demon and Gravemon. In fact, he is the first of the three invaders to fall.
