"You are being saved, please do not resist
" is a "SCP Foundation" fanfiction written by "Echidna 201". Specifically, its a story using the Waifu Catalog, an online "CYOA" set around a multiversal slaver organization and corporation simply called the "Company" in the When Day Breaks Scenario for SCP Foundation.
A person from Earth suddenly becomes contracted by the Company, and after making a build which sees them becoming the Fate character Kulkulkan. Nicknamed Kuku, they try to do the right thing and save as many people as they can. Unfortunately for them, they are about to find out being the good guy sucks....
A subversion of a Waifu Catalog fic, with none of the bindings and lure (as well as smut) typically found in such stories, making it better than most by default.
Contains the following tropes.
- Action Girl: Kuku, for obvious reasons. Due to the body she possessed at the start, Kuku is essentially a Goddess compared to regular humans.
- Apocalypse How: When Day Breaks is a Planetary Species Extinction type, with Societal Collapse following said extinction. Caused by the Sun turning people into monstrous blobs. This was due to Grand Karcist Ion taking over the Sun.
- Alternate Timeline: What When Day Breaks is to the mainline SCP timeline. In this fic it is caused by Sarkites trying to Godzilla Threshold summon Ion.
- Break the Cutie: What Kuku experiences throughout the fic. It gets worse and worse.
- Bizarro Apocalypse: When Day Breaks in a nutshell; not many people would expect the world to have ended by the Sun turning people into blob monsters.
- Crapsack World: SCP Foundation was already a immutable crapsack world, but in the When Day Breaks scenario, it somehow gets "Dialed up to Eleven", making a grimdark setting even more dark.
- Eldritch Abomination: Many SCPs classify as this.
- Kuku is essentially this, her body simply pretending to be human.
- Go Mad from the Apocalypse: Bethany, one of the survivors, ends up like this after realizing her entire family is presumably dead from the apocalypse, which drives her beyond the brink into full blown zealotry. She ends up being gaslit by Kuku to go to the safe house.
- Finagle's Law: The entire fic can be summarized as this. Despite Kuku and other's efforts, things keep getting worse somehow.
- Flying Brick: Kuku; She's a flying physical powerhouse who is also extremely fast and agile.
- Light Is Good: Both played straight and subverted with Kuku and Ion respectively.
- Media Transmigration: Semi Played with Kuku, who possesses a clone Kukulkan's body as part of the build she made with the Company.
