At the dawn of time, the young upstart Lucifer Morningstar was tasked by the Elders of Heaven to watch over the First Man and First Woman and ensure that they were happy and content. When he sees that the first woman, Lilith, is unhappy, he resolves to cheer her up and the two of them form something special.
Women of Eden
is a Hazbin Hotel fanfic written by DragbunStudios that details how Lucifer had met his wife Lilith, as well as going into detail on the events of creation.
Women of Eden contains examples of:
- Achievements in Ignorance: Lucifer managed to outdo Adam in sexually satisfying Lilith without even knowing what sex was.
- Adaptational Context Change:
- In the Book of Genesis, Cain killed Abel because God preferred Abel's offering of sheep instead of his crops. Here, he grew jealous that Lucifer showed favoritism towards Abel, unaware that it was actually because Abel was Lucifer's biological son.
- In Hazbin Hotel, Lucifer tempted Eve with the fruit of knowledge because he thought that humanity would thrive with free will. Here, she was given fruit to bite down on to mask her immodest orgasm. While she didn't actually eat the apple, some juices still made it into her system and it affected her anyway.
- Break Up Demand: When the angels find out that Lucifer is secretly seeing Lilith, they are all mortified since it is his job to make her happy from a distance. The same goes for Eve.
- Decomposite Character: In canon, Lilith became Queen of Hell through her inspiring songs and was the one to take Charlie back to bed during the flashback in "More Than Anything". Here, both times it was Eve, Eve wanting Lilith to take the credit because she didn't want the Sinners to name her as their Queen.
- Lousy Lovers Are Losers: One of the many signs of Adam's overall unpleasantness is his general lack of regard for his partner's pleasure, with both Lillith and Eve only enjoying sex with Lucifer. It's particularly damning in Lilith's case, seeing as how Lucifer managed to outdo him without even knowing what "sex" was.
- Mama's Baby, Papa's Maybe: Adam had the decency to care about both Cain and Abel, unaware that Abel was Lucifer's kid.
- Must Make Her Laugh: When Lilith meets Lucifer face to face, he manages to cheer her up from a malaise by bringing her a bunch of ducklings to cuddle with.
- Offing the Offspring: Adam kills Seth himself during the Exorcist's first extermination, not even remorseful for it because Seth is a Sinner in Hell and therefore no longer his son.
- Parents as People: Eve's time raising Seth was much harder than it was with Cain and Abel because she was dealing with one son murdering the other and both of her lovers being banished to Hell, leading to Seth feeling inadequate as a son because his parents wouldn't stop comparing him to them. When she meets him in Hell (in disguise as "Roo"), she vows to be there for him as a friend to make up for it.
- Polyamory: After Eve's creation, Lucifer and Lilith managed to befriend her and they eventually entered into a polycute in secret. Lucifer and Lilith saw both Cain and Abel as just as much their children as they were Eve's (made more literal in Abel's case for his conspicuous blonde hair). This relationship continues in Hell, Eve being the one who named Charlie when Lilith had her.
- Red-Headed Stepchild: While Eve remained Adam's wife for the rest of her life, she was secretly in a polyamorous relationship with Lilith and Lucifer, Abel being the result of that affair.
- Related in the Adaptation: In the Book of Genesis, both Cain and Abel were sons of Adam. Here, Cain is Adam's son while Abel is Lucifer's.
- Single Woman Seeks Good Man: While Adam is a chauvinistic prick who treats both brides like servants, Lucifer treats them with kindness and respect, so it's no wonder that both Lilith and Eve preferred the angel over Adam.
- Turned Off By The Jerkass: In addition to him being lousy at sex regarding his partner's pleasure, Adam's unpleasant attitude also greatly turns off both Lilith and Eve.
