Weaver and Jinx is based on the premise of Taylor getting a friend before her first night out heroing. Together, she and Maribel become "Weaver and Jinx" and set out to solve the gang problem in Brockton Bay.
Noteable for the reversal of several traditional Worm fanfiction conventions, among which is Taylor defaulting to the voice of reason and temperance to Maribel's more militant mentality.

- Caught on Tape: Maribel uploads a YouTube video explaining and showing the physical and mental abuse she and Taylor were subjected to by Sophia, Emma, and Madison. The ensuing scandal results in Sophia and Emma being expelled and Principal Blackwell and Director Piggot being fired.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Every parahuman, as per canon.
- Hook Hand: Maribel lost a hand in her trigger event and got fitted with an artificial prosthetic.
- How Do I Shot Web?: A significant portion of the story has covered Taylor helping Maribel figuring out her power
- Inverse Law of Utility and Lethality: Averted with Taylor, whose power has many uses and can be equally lethal. Zig-zagged with Maribel’s power, which is only power buffing and debuffing and can’t kill- but may have other aspects that have been hinted at.
