) is an Original Character Warrior Cats fanfic by Omegathyst first published on December 19, 2014.
Jiovekit is the three all reborn into one. She is chosen by StarClan. She is beautiful and talented and all-around perfect. She is adored by all. All, that is except her father Stonewater and her 'unremarkable', 'untalented' siblings Redkit and Brownkit. Jiovekit has it perfect, but this isn't about her. Redkit has a much more interesting, much more heroic story to tell.
This story has a sequel, Welcome to the Black Parade.
This fanfic contains examples of:
- The Chosen One: At first, Jiovekit (Jioveheart) is this because of her prophecy, but Redkit (Redblossom) is later chosen to fulfill the prophecy instead, after Jioveheart becomes pregnant and loses her abilities.
- Mandatory Motherhood: Early on in the first story, Splotchstar bans four she-cats from having an apprentice, becoming deputy, or going to Gatherings until they have one litter of kits each.
- Meaningful Name: Jiovekit (Jioveheart)'s prefix is a combonation of Jay, Lion, and Dove, and Redblossom's suffix is because she is like a blossom that (hopefully) won't wither for a long time.
- Parental Favoritism: Weaselberry absolutely worships Jiovekit for reasons that are pretty obvious. Although Stonewater, the "good" parent, isn't innocent of this crime, either.
- Parental Neglect: Weaselberry neglected her other two kits the moment they were born.
