by Dozing Dead is a Death Note AU Slash Fic in which Light is willing to do anything to prove that he is not Kira... and that Ryuuzaki truly is his dear, dear friend....
Vacancy provides examples of:
- Becoming the Mask: Light begins to buy into his own act and actually like L.
- Kick the Dog: Light kills Misa before even meeting her. He just saw her on TV and found her annoying and so he killed her.
- Out of Character: It's unlikely that L would just let Light manipulate him like that. Also Light Took a Level in Jerkass. In canon he's a bit more discerning with his targets-at this point in the story he's not so far gone that he'd just off a certain annoying blonde celebrity.
- Slash Fic: Light x L with hints of Mello x Matt.
- Took a Level in Jerkass: Even at his worst, it's very unlikely that canon Light would kill a woman he's never even met just because he finds her annoying.
