Undead Bodyguard X The New Showa Idol
is a Zombie Land Saga Alternate Universe Fic series written by Seigus.
The undead Ai and Saki are hired as the live-in bodyguards for Junko, known as "The New Showa Idol". Ai also develops feelings for her charge but her status as an undead is holding her back.
This series includes examples of:
- Acid Attack: In "Unwrapped", Junko gets targetted by someone attempting to smash a bottle of acid on her. Ai ends up taking the blow for her.
- Adaptational Attractiveness: Downplayed. While the undead lack the pruney of their original counterparts, they still have the greenish skin color as well as the scars and bandages.
- Bodyguard Crush: Ai is shown to have developed feelings for Junko. It is later revealed that the feeling is mutual.
- Cathartic Crying: After Junko accepts her as a person in spite of being an undead covered in scars near the end of "Unwrapped", Ai breaks down crying until she passes out.
- High-Voltage Death: Ai gets tied up at the top of a water tower after hitting a gang leader with a rock. She ends up dying after getting struck by lightning, much like her canon self.
- Street Urchin: Before her death, Ai became this after running away from home.
