Torn Apart World
is a Harry Potter Hurt/Comfort Fic by Shoonasasi, wherein Harry is sent to stay with Snape over the summer. It is set post-Chamber of Secrets and focuses on Harry recovering from physical abuse at the hands of the Dursleys. Then things get worse.
It was last updated in 2011. The last chapter was never posted, although you can pretty much guess what was going to happen.
Provides examples of:
- Adaptational Nice Guy: Snape is a lot less of a dick here than he is in canon
- Catapult Nightmare: Harry has several.
- Original Character: Ernie, Craig and Della
- Halfway Plot Switch: Downplayed. The first half is a straight hurt/comfort fic without much plot. Halfway through, Craig sets his impersonation plot into gear and Snape has to figure out what the fuck is going on. It remains very much hurt/comfort though.

- In chapter 12, Snape mentions having polyjuice potion. Craig later uses this to impersonate him.
- Parental Substitute: Snape becomes this to Harry
- Rewatch Bonus: During chapter 14, Craig apologises to Harry before leaving. He's not apologising for leaving, but for what he's about to do.
