Celestia is a young unicorn foal trying to take care of herself and her younger sister Luna. Their parents died in King Platinum's war, leaving the two sisters to fend for themselves.
King Platinum has created an an eternal winter in an attempt to get the Earth ponies to surrender. Sick of being hungry and alone, one day Celestia feels the sudden desire to do the impossible: She's going to lift the sun by herself.

is a My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic oneshot set prior to Celestia's ascension into an alicorn.
