Their Hero Academia: Rise of the New Generation
is a My Hero Academia next gen fic written primarily by Zylly on Archive of Our Own, with varying levels of contributions from msalliepants, terry3906, and ulap83. Set twenty-five years after Izuku and company's first day at U.A., the fic focuses on their children and their trials and tribulations while attending U.A. High and following in their parents footsteps. While the parents do appear from time to time, the focus remains heavily upon the kids.
Originally, the fic focused primarily on four of the next generations in particular: Toshi Midoriya (the son of Izuku and Ochaco), Katsumi Kirishima Bakugo (the daughter of Katsuki and Eijiro via surrogacy), Izumi Todoroki (the daughter of Shoto and Momo) and Isamu Haimawari (the son of Koichi Haimawari/the Crawler and Kazuho Haneyama/Pop*Step from the Vigilantes spin-off), with the other characters playing more secondary roles. As time went on, the other characters began to receive their own POV chapters and plots, ultimately culminating in the introduction of a wholly new character, the moth-maid Koharu Kocho, joining the cast and class around the time of the Sports Festival.
While the focus is primarily on the kids and the trials and tribulations of a relatively 'normal' school year at U.A., there's been a degree of villainy simmering in the background for some time, including the formation of a new League of Villains.
A sub-series, Tales of Their Hero Academia focuses on various events in the gap from the source manga to the 'present.'
An ongoing side story, Ready Player 2 follows Class B from the events of the midterm onward.

- Alternate Continuity:
Word of God from the author specifies that the last canonical event for the main manga is the Joint Training Arc, with All for One not having been defeated until sometime in Izuku's third year of U.A. and the My Villain Academia arc, the War Arc, and others after that not having happened at all. This is due to the Overhaul arc being the most recently collected arc at the time the work began. - Breaking the Fourth Wall: Minor recurring character Anime Fukidashi, the daughter of Manga Fukidashi, is essentially a living cartoon character, claims to be able to hear the background music, and makes constant references to various tropes such as Isamu Haimawari being "promoted to main character." Most other characters consider her to have a somewhat questionable relationship with reality, though they also cannot deny that she's often right.
- Buxom Beauty Standard: Mika Mineta is noted for her considerable breasts. Sora Iida is also very busty.
- Contrived Coincidence: All of Class 1-A and a large number of Class 1-B all have children in the same general age range, all attending U.A. at the same time. There is an in-universe joke that many of the kids were conceived "the night Mina and Hanta threw one hell of a New Year's Eve Party" though whether or not this is true is left to the imagination. That all of the 1-A kids are in Aizawa's class is due to Midnight, now Vice-Principal, putting them there because she thought it would be funny.
- Generation Xerox: More notable in the early chapters, the kids have developed more individuality and differences from their parents as the fic has progressed.
- Honorary Uncle: Most of the kids refer to at least some of the other parents as Uncle or Aunt.
- Invisible Streaker: Averted with Kimiko Ojiro, who while always invisible, also has the Quirk to make anything she touches invisible.
- The Lad-ette: Katsumi Kirishima-Bakugo is the teenage version of this.
