- Adaptational Jerkass: Ochaco's jealously of gaining Izuku's affections is much more profound here, especially after Izuku and Kyoka hook up.
- Author Tract: The author has made clear they find the canon Ship Tease for Izuku and Ochaco to be forced beyond belief, accusing Horikoshi of them being Strangled by the Red String. As such, they turn Ochaco into an Adaptational Jerkass Clingy Jealous Girl and keep her and Izuku apart to highlight how "artificial" their relationship is.
- Babies Ever After: In New Addition, Kyoka gives birth to Izuka.
- Boyfriend-Blocking Dad: Kyotoku is this towards Izuku as when the boy appears in front of his door alongside Kyoka and Eri, one look at him and the little girl made Kyotoku think that Izuku stole his daughter's "innocence".
- Cuteness Proximity: Almost nobody has the will to say no to Eri due to how cute she is, not even Aizawa.Kyoka: (Thinking) Fuck. Now I can see why Midoriya and Aizawa-sensei have a hard time saying "no" to her. She's just too cute!
- Family Theme Naming: Invoked by Izuku and later played straight. The married couple decided to do what Kyoka's parents did when they named their daughter by naming their newly born through a combination of their own names, Izuku and Kyoka.
- Happily Adopted: While Izuku and Kyoka already see Eri as their daughter, the couple later eventually made it official on their wedding day by revealing the signed adoption papers.
- Happily Married: Both Izuku and Kyoka finally tie the knot in The Smiling Family: Officially United.
- Hidden Depths: Wind, Strings, and Horns reveals that Izuku is capable of playing the flute.
- I Want Grandkids: Mitsuki keeps yelling at Katsuki to get married and give her some grandchildren, much to his chagrin.
- I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: Despite Ochaco's initial jealousy of Kyoka's relationship with Izuku, by the time their wedding came, Ochaco was able to put her jealousy aside and wished Kyoka a happy life with Izuku.
- Loose Tooth Episode: Nothing but the Tooth has Eri lose one of her baby teeth after biting into an apple.
- Male Gaze: When the girls of 1-A and 1-B were all wearing makeshift hula dresses, Izuku in particular couldn't help but gawk at how Kyoka looked in her hawaiian get-up, much to the punk rocker's embarrassment at being oogled by her boyfriend.
- Mama Bear: After taking Eri as her daughter, Kyoka has become very protective of the little girl and is not afraid to attack anyone with her jacks if they hurt her.
- Mistaken for Gay: When Denki tells Kyoka he thought she was a lesbian, the punk rocker lashes out and repeatedly attacks the Electrification user with her jacks in comical fury.
- Mistaken for Pregnant: When Kyoka tells her mom, Mika, that she's now a mother after unofficially adopting Eri, the matriarch of the Jiro family very calmly claimed that she was going to murder Izuku. Kyoka quickly has to exclaim that she's not pregnant and that the situation is a lot more complicated.

Out of Order: The way the fics are told aren't in chronological order. - Promoted to Parent: While initially taken aback that Eri saw them as her parents, both Izuku and Kyoka began to treat her as if she was their actual daughter once the two of them start dating for real.
- Siblings Wanted: After seeing a pregnant woman on TV, Eri is hoping that Izuku and Kyoka will get her a brother or sister for her to play with. She gets her wish later in the future when Kyoka gave birth to Izuka.
- Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: Shiozaki becomes this to Kyoka when she called rock n' roll, "the devil's music". Something which deeply offended the punk rocker.
- Strong Family Resemblance: Izuka is a splitting image of her mother, having the same hair colour and Quirk while also having her father's eyes and freckles.
- Taught by Television: Due to her upbringing, some of the things Eri learned are from watching TV, making her believe that a mother and father are those who make you happy. As a result, she sees Izuku and Kyoka as her parents due to them being the only people who made her smile.(Izuku, due to saving her from Chisaki and Kyoka, due to removing Chisaki's influence through her music and voice at the Cultural Festival)
