The Shin Sekai
is a Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan Fan Fic written by Lord Nayrael.
Set twenty years after the end of the series, the harmony between humans and youkai is being threatened once again and the Nura Clan finds itself in conflict with multiple factions, each one sinister in their own way. And in this conflict, Rikuo's children have no choice but to participate, no matter the risks.
The author has also written a collection of side stories, The Shin Sekai- Omakes.

The Shin Sekai contains examples of the following tropes:
- Antagonist Title: The Shin Sekai is the name of the main antagonists, a group of villainous humans.
- Bratty Teenage Daughter: Ritsura has traits of this; in the first chapter, she snuck out to play games at the arcade all night, and Tsurara's dialogue implies she does such things often.Tsurara: Tell me, dearie... why does this have to happen all the time?
- Dead Guy Junior: Rikuo and Tsurara's second child, Rihan, is named in honor of Rikuo's late father.
- Fan-Created Offspring: Rikuo's children from the original manga are original characters.
- Heinz Hybrid: Ritsura and Rihan are hybrids of Nurarihyon, yuki-onna, and human.
- Spin-Offspring: The fic is set 20 years after the events of the manga, and focuses on Rikuo's children.
