The Robin and the Hood
is a Batman fanfiction created by the collaborated work of crissy_sky and TerraTenshi.
A fanfic that continues all the plotlines that were discontinued after Flashpoint and the New 52 reboot.
This Fan Fic provides examples of:
- Aborted Arc: The fic continues all the plot arcs abandoned when DC rebooted. For instance, the Council of Spiders continue their revenge plot against Tim.
- Adaptational Sexuality: Jason is gay, while Bart Allen is an Extreme Omnisexual because he grew up in the 30th century, while Tim is demi-sexual.
- Armor-Piercing Question: After he's rescued, Damian asks in front of everyone if Jason believes that Bruce never loved him.
- Big Brother Instinct: Dick, which is the reason why he has a much better relationship with Damian.
- Continuity Nod: Lots to pre-New 52 canon, such as Jason's many attempts to kill members of the Batfamily (which he regrets), Tim's photographing Batman and Robin before he became Robin, that one time Tim bailed Jason out of jail, Jason being a redhead. The list goes on and on.
- The Glomp: Dick, whose solutions to all problems is hugging.
- Homoerotic Subtext. Everyone is aware of the bizarre obession the Joker has for Batman and Jason weaponises it when delivering his Breaking Speech to the Clown Prince of Crime.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Damian Wayne actually cares about his family even if he's poorly about showing it due to his Training from Hell and No Social Skills.
- Legacy Character: Dick Grayson is holding the mantle of Batman while Bruce Wayne is travelling the world to deal with Batman Incorporated.
- Male Frontal Nudity: Tim muses that he does have the habit of finding Jason naked/seminaked.
- Once Done, Never Forgotten: When Jason was Robin, he drove and crashed the Batmobile. Since then, Bruce and Dick have never let him forget it.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Jason gives a brutal one to the Joker, which causes him to mock Jason that he's just a little kid trying to get daddy's attention. That mocking results in Jason doing a Talk to the Fist to the clown.
- Right Man in the Wrong Place: At end of chapter 11 Tim is kidnapped at the airport and in chapter 12 it turns out that the kidnappers are incompetent, to the point that, by the time Batman, Robin, Black Cat and Jason arrive to rescue him Tim had already devised 151 ways to escape.
- Stalker with a Crush: Tim to Jason, and the authors use the Adaptational Sexuality to have canon events look in a new light, such as when Tim bailed Jason out of jail or when Tim took the mantle of Red Robin, which originally was given to Jason by an Alternate Universe Batman. Jason does find Tim's album containg many photos of Jason as Robin but he finds it cute.
- Superman Stays Out of Gotham: Subverted. Tim asks Kid Flash and Superboy for aid in finding Damain and in fact, it allows them to quickly him
