The Pretty Cure McLaughlin Club
' is a fanseries by ryanasaurus0077 written and presented in a debate format. As the title indicates, it's yet another parody of The McLaughlin Group, only this time the topic isn't politics, but rather each episode or arc of the present Pretty Cure television program, with the author himself in the role of John McLaughlin (or, at least, an Expy thereof) and both major and supporting characters from various canon seasons of Pretty Cure appearing as panelists, each representing a real-life panelist on the original show.
Known panelists are:
- Komachi Akimoto, an aspiring novelist who is also a Pretty Cure. Her alter ego is Cure Mint, and she has Pat Buchanan's seat on the panel.
- Seiji Sagara, a student at Pikarigaoka Middle School and a member of its karate club. He's a recurring ally to Pretty Cure, and he has Fred Barnes's seat on the panel.
- Urara Kasugano, an Idol Singer. Her alter ego is Cure Lemonade, and she has Tim Carney's seat on the panel.
- Karen Minazuki, a longtime friend of Komachi. Her alter ego is Cure Aqua, and she has Rich Lowry's seat on the panel.
- Miyo Masuko, an Intrepid Reporter and the host of Pretty Cure Weekly. She has Eleanor Clift's seat on the panel.
- Nagisa Misumi, the captain of the Verone Academy lacrosse club. Her alter ego is Cure Black, and she has Jack Germond's seat on the panel.
- Honoka Yukishiro, a scientific genius who sometimes gets accused of being a know-it-all. Her alter ego is Cure White, and she has Tom Rogan's seat on the panel.
- Regina, a former enemy of Pretty Cure, now living with Mana Aida. She has Monica Crowley's seat on the panel.
- Ellen Kurokawa, a friend of Hummy and a former minion of Minor Land. Her alter ego is Cure Beat, and she has Morton Kondracke's seat on the panel.
- Reina Itsutsuboshi, an heiress and former rival to Alice Yotsuba. She's one of Pretty Cure's allies, and she has Mort Zuckerman's seat on the panel.
- Bunbee, a former minion of both Nightmare and Eternal, now the leader of his own company. He has Paul Glastris's seat on the panel.
- Setsuna Higashi, a former minion of Labyrinth who is now a Pretty Cure herself. Her alter ego is Cure Passion, and she has Clarence Page's seat on the panel.
- Nao Midorikawa, a member of Nanairogaoka Middle School's football club. Her alter ego is Cure March, and she has Guy Taylor's seat on the panel.
This McLaughlin Group parody contains examples of:
- Author Avatar: The author explicitly puts himself in the role of the moderator.
- Berserk Button: Don't bring up scientific myths around Honoka, especially not that "10% of your brain" crap.
- Beware the Nice Ones: When Komachi shouts for everyone to be quiet, she means it.
- Cloud Cuckoolander: Honoka has her moments.Honoka: If I were Miss Haruno, I'd go with clearing the snow from the garden—

Honoka: But I like snow, it seems so magical! - Comically Missing the Point: Guaranteed to get the moderator to yelp "Wrong!" at the offending party.Moderator: We're talking about late penalties at Noble Academy.

Moderator: Wrong! - Dude, Not Funny!: Invoked when the moderator apologizes for offending anyone whose dreams got locked away by Dys Dark's generals with what he calls an "inappropriate door-based pun".
- Gratuitous Spanish: In the third installment, when Seiji can't quite tell the difference between Portuguese and Spanish and Miyo (who is presumed to have been to Brazil for her series) has to teach him the correct pronunciation of "O Jogo Bonito".
- Lampshade Hanging: At one point, a "scale of 0 to 10" question appeared to resemble a countdown before the moderator broke the sequence by going with 5 on the scale before apologizing to those who were expecting him to complete that countdown.
- Malicious Misnaming: Another typical McLaughlin parody marker, with Seiji being called both "Super Sport" and "Sei-jing", Nagisa being called "Nagi-Nagi-Zoom-Zoom", and Reina being called "Red-Clad Reindeer", among others.
- Precision F-Strike: Nagisa calling her brother Ryota an ass at one point in her first appearance.
- Running Gag: Seiji being asked by the moderator to pretend that he's a princess for certain issues (e.g. tea parties and dressmaking) and proceeding to go into detail about it as if he actually was a princess.
- Shout-Out:
- When Reina interrupts her impromptu performance of "The Elements", Honoka brings up the Chemistry Cat meme.
- Another McLaughlin parody gets referenced in the form of the moderator calling Ellen "Eleanor-Gee-I-Think-You're-Swellinor".
- Shown Their Work: Lampshaded by differing IPA renditions of "O Jogo Bonito" (i.e. Seiji's bungling of the phrase with Castilian Spanish pronunciation and Miyo's correct rendition with Brazilian Portuguese pronunciation).
- Spell My Name With An S: The author had some trouble with Parf's name in the first couple of episodes.
- Take That!:
- "Clearly you've never been to Tumblr." For context, Tumblr is well known for hosting users who are very combative and threatening towards people and views they disagree with, to the detriment of reasonable discussion. Even other Tumblr users are tired of it.
- Close gets compared by Seiji to the Sex Pistols, obviously critical of both parties.
- Think of the Censors!:
- Why Seiji refuses to refer to the Sex Pistols by their full name.
- Komachi reprimands Nagisa after the latter calls her younger brother an ass.
Komachi: Watch it, Nagisa; mind the readers. - Vitriolic Best Buds: Honoka and Reina, judging by their chemistry.
