The Murder at Fazbear's Fright
is a Five Nights at Freddy's one-shot created by AIEchidna (with partial help from CyprisTheToaster).
Unlike his previous fanfic, this completely diverges a serious tone and is instead a Murder Mystery comedy not set within the same universe.
This One-Shot contains examples of:
- Breaking the Fourth Wall: Endo-01 says the Fazbears will be back by the next story.
- Closed Circle: This is learned pretty quickly when Rockstar Bonnie tries to leave, only to have his head smashed into the door by a triggered trap.
- Clueless Mystery: The cast ends up running in circles or chasing their own tails, as the murderer is pretty careful.
- Disability Alibi: Foxy and Mangle are drunk by the time the first few murders take place, which rendered them innocent.
- Everyone Join the Party: Every type of animatronic is at the get-together.
- Everybody Did It: Inverted. None of the partygoers were the murderer, rather Endo-01 and Endo-02.
- "Everybody Dies" Ending: All the party-attenders as well as Endo-01 and Endo-02 die.
- Furry Reminder: Some of Foxy's canine-ish traits are put on display.Foxy: SHUT YER MOUTHS, BOTH OF YE. I AIN’T NO DOGGY! <something falls> TENNIS BALL!? ...Err…. I mean, what be that!?
- Foreshadowing: It's revealed Endo-01 and Endo-02 forgot about Map Bot, who got a singular line in the beginning of the story while bothering Springtrap.
- Mood Whiplash: The ending goes from finding out Endo-01 and Endo-02 were the murderers.... to the entire building being blown up by Map Bot because the Endos didn't get a map.
- Never the Obvious Suspect: Played Straight with Toy Freddy and Mr. Hippo, both being proven wrong just as it seemed they were about to be right.
- Finger-Licking Poison: Mangle is killed when she drinks a beer that's been poisoned.
- Hidden Villain: It turns out that the killer was none of the party attenders, but rather Endo-01 and Endo-02, who had been feeling left out.
- Lights Off, Somebody Dies: The main way the animatronics are murdered throughout the story.
- Mistaken for Evidence: Once Pigpatch is murdered, everyone blames Toy Freddy, who was right behind him.
- Old, Dark House: Fazbear's Fright is a horror attraction. Nuff' said.
