Describe The Most Epic Demonic Conquest Ever here.

A crazy story of a demonic conquest...

A Sonic the Hedgehog universe fanfic.

Can be read here.

This story provides examples of:

  • A-Cup Angst: Ivy is less than well-endowed, to her dismay.
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking - Mainly times, a recent one being from the OVA:
And so she made her way to Earth to ruin the image of the ridiculously idealistic angel of justice, doing things such as robbing food stores, blowing up buildings, helping criminals get away with crimes, and leaving the toilet seat up.
  • Battle Butler - Poison, more focus on fighting, less on daily chores.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: In “Crisis on Several Earths” Gary travels to a world where their own world is a TV show written by two ninjas.
  • Bromantic Foil: Adol can be considered one to Poison, despite having no sense of morality whatsoever yet still fairly popular with women
  • Clothing Damage - Averted, and considering who the two main candidates for this would be if it wasn’t…
  • Combat Pragmatist - Ivy tends to fight dirty; Justified, since she’s a demon.
  • Corrupt the Cutie - Ruby’s personality change over the course of the story can be considered this. Understandable considering her constant interactions with Ivy and Poison. Lampshaded in “Zombie Bears Are Worse”:
Poison: This isn’t good, guys, we’ll need to find another way round.
Ruby: Fuck that! Let’s charge right through those bastards! *covers her mouth* S-sorry, I didn’t mean to say that…
Ivy: We’re a bad influence on that angel.
    Poison: A very bad influence.
  • Covert Pervert - Poison assumes Ivy is despite being far beyond the qualifications, due to not admitting it at first. Poison is a more straight example
  • Cruel and Unusual Death - AU Ivy enjoys doing ridiculous things such as submitting people to Seltzer and Friedberg movies until they commit suicide.
  • For Want Of A Nail:
    • —>Ruby: Though me and Ivy got off to a bad start, and its really cliché to say this, overtime I came to realize that although our viewpoints differ, we really aren’t so different, and would’ve probably been really good friends if we grew up on the same planet.
    • If AU Ruby is to be believed, the Bad Future was a result of Poison being killed
  • Fun with Acronyms - P.A.L 3000, the robot created by Ivy which to her stands for “Personal Artificial Lover” and the chapter, “Really Pointless Gaming” as well as some other small ones like DFC which stands for Delicious Flat Chest Deep Fried Chicken.
  • Giant Space Flea from Nowhere - The Giant Enemy Crab from “Unwanted Fanservice”, and the Giant Pumpkin from Chapter 41 the OVA.
  • Hurricane of Euphemisms - In “Cosmic Destination”:
Rosie: Y’know how annoying it is to explain to vampire hunters nowadays that you’re not that evil anymore? I’ve kinda mellowed out since meeting you guys, so instead of killing them I try to talk things out now. Some just don’t listen, so I impale them instead.
Amber: Gotta stab the fleshy interior.
Rosie: Gotta hammer in that nail.
Amber: Gotta fill out that taco with some meat.
Rosie: Gotta fill the cup with some warm milk.
Amber: Gotta carefully stick the pencil in the sharpener.
Rosie: Gotta attack the weak point for massive damage…What were we talking about again?
  • Hypocritical Humor - At times, for example:
Poison: Y’know, occasionally when watching some shows, I’ve always noticed this sometimes bland and average guy get so much popularity with women. Sometimes I just gotta wonder, how does he do it, y’know?
  • I Know Mortal Kombat - A number of characters have picked up various moves from video games, Ruby being a glaring example
  • Knight in Shining Armor - Gary at first, though without the armor, as a result of ignorance/jealously. He got better.
  • Lampshade Hanging - It’ll be harder to find something which hasn’t been lampshaded
  • Made of Explodium - Most things Spring and Floyd touch or hit:
Spring: We deal with these kinds of things on a daily basis, so I believe that you vastly underestimate us. Here’s how this will go: You’ll attack us, we’ll evade your attacks, you’ll be astounded by our speed, and then, we will kick you, and you will explode.
  • Married to the Job - Poison, who’s perfectly fine with his current position, and purposely winds up Ivy to keep up the Status Quo
  • Negative Continuity - Most of the time, even though previous events are regularly brought up
  • Never Trust a Trailer - Subverted. The parody trailer “Gangsta Shit” used in “A Resistance to Poison”, was later used as an straight episode
  • Rock Theme Naming - Ruby’s family are named after some form of rock, and of course lampshaded when Ivy and Poison visit:
Poison: Y’know, I’m starting to see a pattern with the names…
Ivy: You’re probably just thinking too much.
  • Rogues Gallery - Ruby believes she has one, despite having little history with most villains
  • Single-Target Sexuality - Lolita considers her orientation to be “Damiensexual”
  • Spoof Aesop - Done a few notable times:
    • From “PAL 3000”:
Ivy: Y’know, I learned a lesson from all this.
Poison: That you should appreciate what you have regardless of how helpful they are?
Ivy: No. It’s that I’ll never be able to find good help and be stuck with a crappy servant like you forever, and the one servant I did like tried to kill me! So now I gotta settle with a useless load like you.
Poison: I hate you too, Ivy.
    • From “Crisis on Several Earths”:
    Gary: I’ve learned something today.
Crystal: Treat others how you’d like to be treated?
Gary: No, its that regardless of how crazy this place might be, there’s a lot worse things out there.
    • And lampshaded in Chapter 40:
Ruby: So what’s the moral of this story?
Poison: This isn’t gonna be another one of those fake aesops, is it?
Crystal: I think the moral is: Science is bad.
Amber: I think it's: Treat others how you’d like to be treated.
Damien: Nah, it's gotta be: Life sucks, so do what you feel like.
Lolita: I think the moral is this: Don’t bully people who could brutally kill you if they were to snap.
  • Take Over the World - The premise… but not really
Poison: *sitting by Ivy’s bed* Hey, you don’t look so well...
Ivy: Yes, I seem to have contracted Diabeetus.
Poison: So is there anything I can do?
Ivy: Yes. *cough* Perhaps you could grant this cute little girl’s final wish before she dies...
Poison: To take over the world?
  • Testosterone Poisoning - Leo, who ate wood for breakfast and washed it down with a cup of nails. He might also fight grizzy bears with his bare hands in his spare time.
  • That Came Out Wrong - Ruby’s golden shower comment in “Cosmic Destination”, which she realizes later:
Ruby: *looking up something on her computer* “Oh, so that’s what a golden shower is? Wow, that must’ve been quite awkward…”
  • Unfortunate Names - Harry Johnson, and since Poison lives in Hell, most people tend to get the joke rather fast…
  • Unwanted Harem - Poison. Lampshaded regularly while not being completely true. Ivy, Ruby, Rosie, Amber, Crystal, Gary, Damien...
  • Vague Age - Apart from it being mentioned that Damien is older than Ivy, and with Gary possibly being around the same age while Poison is younger than her, all their ages remain unknown.
  • Would Hit a Girl - Most villains don’t care much for gender and since others are easily capable of killing each other on his planet, Poison doesn’t consider gender much, either.
