by Storymaker2 is a Darker and Edgier fanfic of The Lion Guard.Taking place after the events of the finale, it follows Kion and Rani who met a mysterious lion, on the brink of death, who leads a group of animals and seems to know Kion more than he knows.
This fic provides examples of:
- Co-Dragons: Radcliffe has three: Kuzimu the Timber wolf, Timora the Ligress, and Shetani the white Tiger.
- Elite Mooks: While the Lion Guard and the Night Pride are capable of driving out regular poachers, the ones under Radcliffe's army initially give them trouble due to being raised to be more savage and pain-resistant.
- Evil Counterpart: Radcliffe is one to Kion. Both are the leaders of their territories who also possess a supernatural roar, but while Kion is The Good King, Radcliffe is The Caligula.
- Related in the Adaptation: Zuri's father is revealed to be Kopa.
- Your Terrorists Are Our Freedom Fighters: What Kopa's group claims to be. While they aren't shy in admitting their actions, they also point out that the lands were suffering prior then, and have since recovered greatly. It is this fact that greatly troubles Kion and Rani, who initially struggled to reconcile the concept.
