The Killing Game's Serenade
is an ongoing story by Lost One's Weeping based on the Danganronpa universe. This story features a cast of sixteen Ultimates trapped inside a mysterious opera house after being abducted by Mr. No Name. The only way out is to kill another one of your classmates and get away with the perfect murder.
In the same universe as The Despair In Our Stars and Forest of Despair.
This Danganronpa fanfic contains examples of:
- The Ace: Everybody in their field of work.
- Action Girl: Azami. She is by far the person who has put up the biggest fight with Mr. No Name. She could have probably overpowered him if he didn't bring his gun.
- After the End: Since this is set in the Committee Saga universe, the world is still repairing from the Tragedy.
- All for Nothing: The fate of the students who try to fight against the mastermind. They all become part of the game anyway...besides Kiyome.
- America Takes Over the World: The Committee was originally the American Restoration Committee before it set its eyes on the rest of the world, conquering most of it.
- Anyone Can Die: Considering how dark this fic is in just the prologue alone, it is safe to assume that this will come into play. It is a Committee Saga work after all.
- Arc Words: Mr. No Name really likes talking about hope and despair. A lot.
- Black Blood: Averted. Unlike the games that this is based on, the blood in this fanfic is red and all over the place.
- Body of the Week: This is the killing game after all. Death is bound to occur.
- Bookworm: Implied with Kiyome and Yu. They were reading books before Mr. No Name abducted the two of them.
- Cruel and Unusual Death: The game hasn't even started and we already have a character die by drowning in literal shit.
- Darker and Edgier: Oh dear lord. Mr. No Name makes this fic dark from the get-go. The way he abducts all the students is disturbing, to say the least.
- Deadly Game: What the students are forced into by the True Despairs.
- Gender-Equal Ensemble: Once again, the cast is eventually split between boys and girls.
- Win Your Freedom: The Ultimate goal of the game is to get out of the opera house alive.
