For the last eight years, Ladybug and Purple Tigress have been fighting the mysterious Duskwing. Now married, they've been waiting until Duskwing is defeated to start a family. But when Juleka realizes her friends are starting their own families, she wishes for the chance to have children even with the threat of the supervillain. She gets the opportunity in an unexpected way after her younger co-worker and friend Adrien loses his father.
Stone Streak
is a Miraculous Ladybug fic by kingxuppu. At 53,581 and 14 chapters, the fic was completed on April 11, 2023.
Stone Streak contains examples of:
- Adoptive Peer Parent: Juleka and Marinette adopt 13-year-old Adrien after his father's death.
- Adult Adoptee: Played for Laughs with the Tiger kwami Roaar proclaiming the Cat kwami Plagg as her kitten. Plagg is annoyed at this, especially since he's a couple of centuries older than her.
- Age Lift: The teenage characters (save for Adrien, Rose, Chloe, and Sabrina) are all around 25 years old, with Juleka and Marinette having been heroes for 8 years by the start of the story.
- All Therapists Are Muggles: Averted with Ivan Bruel, Team Miraculous's Bull Shield and professional therapist who offers to council his teammates if they need help. In the final chapter, Juleka goes to him as a civilian to confide about her murdering Gabriel.
- Battle Couple: Ladybug and Purple Tigress have been heroic partners for eight years and married for three years at the start of the story.
- Babies Ever After: The epilogue reveals that Marinette is pregnant with the family's next child, to both Adrien and Rose's delight.
- Be Careful What You Wish For: Played With for Juleka, who wishes that she and Marinette would have a child even while Duskwing was active. She gets the chance when her younger co-worker Adrien loses his father in a car crash. That said, Adrien bonds very quickly with his new mothers.
- Beta Couple: The primary couple are 3-year married Battle Couple Marinette and Juleka Stone. The three beta couples each contrast in being different stages of relationships compared to the Stones.
- The first is their fellow married couple and Miraculous users Alya and Nino, who are already expecting their first child. The sight of which brings up Juleka's urges to start a family with Marinette despite their decision to wait until Duskwing is defeated.
- The second is Juleka's twin Luka and his fiance Zoe Lee, the latter having recently joined the group as the full-time hero Honey Bee.
- The last is the Stones' adopted son Adrien and his classmate turn girlfriend Rose, with the story showing their first meeting and the events leading to their Relationship Upgrade.
- Has a Type: Juleka reveals to Adrien that before she and Marinette got together, the latter used to date Juleka's twin Luka. Marinette mutters that both twins just happened to be her type.
- Locked Out of the Loop: None of the Miraculous users knew that the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculous can combine for a reality changing wish until the defeated Dusk Wing.
- Mama Bear: Causing any sort of harm towards Adrien will earn Juleka's wrath, as Gabriel finds out when she discovers he faking this own death and abandoned his child and inadvertently caused his death through one of his akumas.
- Mistaken for Pregnant: Inverted for laughs; during the Team Miraculous gathering, Alya gestures at her stomach to announce that she and Nino are expecting. While the rest of the girls quickly realize what she means, Kim thinks the news is that she lost weight until Ondine corrects him.
- Nom de Mom: Inverted; Juleka Couffaine and her brother Luka grew up with their mother Anarka's last name given she was their only guardian for much of their lives. Though after getting close to her father Jagged Stone, she and her wife Marinette take his last name when they get married prior to the start of the story.
- Pre-Mortem One-Liner: After finding out that Gabriel faked his death to be Duskwing full-time knowing and even exploiting how such action will devastate his son, Tigress says that her and Ladybug's son believe his birth father is dead.... then declares that Gabriel shouldn't be viewed as a liar right before she uses her Clout on him.
- Red Herring: Though initially Duskwing is seen as a separate supervillain from Hawkmoth, especially after Gabriel's death in chapter 2, it's revealed in the final battle that they are one and the same.
- Surprise Incest: Invoked; to get Chloe to stop making him her boyfriend, Adrien points out that once Luka and Chloe's older sister Zoe get married, that would make Chloe and Adrien aunt and nephew.
