Still Running
is a RWBY two-shot where Weiss chases after Blake when she runs away at the end of Volume 3. Unfortunately, Adam follows Weiss to Blake and this leads to a confrontation. After Adam is chased off by Qrow, Weiss and Blake come to terms with their feelings for one another.
Still Running is a part of a series called RWBY Redux, but it can be read as a stand-alone work as well.
This fanfic provides examples of:
- Alternate Universe Fic: It takes place during the period where Ruby is still asleep after the attack on Beacon. Weiss chases after Blake instead of going back home.
- Anguished Declaration of Love: Weiss forces Blake to tell her why she wouldn't kill her, which leads to this.
- Faking the Dead: Weiss is convinced by Qrow to fake her death so that her father won't look for her anymore.
- Interrupted Suicide: After Adam orders Blake to shoot Weiss, Blake intends to kill herself and Weiss, instead of just killing Weiss. Qrow saves them beforehand.
- Kill the Ones You Love: Adam tells Blake to kill Weiss or else he'll torture both of them. Blake almost does, but Qrow saves them before she can shoot.
- Slash Fic: Still Running pairs together Weiss and Blake. Weiss and Blake come to terms with their feelings for one another.
- There Is Only One Bed: While hiding out, Blake and Weiss stay in a place with only one bed and a couch. The bed is too small for two so Blake ends up taking the couch.
