Ultimate Spider-man: Symbiotic
is series by Professor Oswin bringing back our favourite Webslinger wearing a symbiote and deviating from the last episode of Return of the Sinister Six. The story brings in several OCs for his own use and brings a familiar face into the picture. A pizza burnt face to be exact.
In this time frame, everyone believes that Spider-Man, a.k.a. Peter Parker, was killed in a helicarrier explosion following the defeat of Otto Octavius whom he has killed. The Team and S.H.I.E.L.D. covered that little bit up and the city remembers him as a hero.
Now Spidey is back and he isn't playing nice. The story is kind of all over the place with time skips and is barely 5 chapters into it after 2 years. The writer has a habit of entering hiatus with this one but never abandons it.
Spider-Man Symbiotic provides examples of:
- Accidental Murder: Spider-Man when he commits his first murder with Otto Octavius
- Action Girl: White Tiger, Black Cat, Dagger
- Action Survivor: Flash Thompson and Peter Parker
- Adaptation Expansion: It's the case with the Symbiote arc. This time it's here to stay.
- Adaptational Villainy: Spider-Man, obvious since he's got the symbiote, though he could be more of an anti-hero if he didn't go around eating people.
- Anyone Can Die : Powerman kills his best friend Danny Rand in a feat of anger when the Symbiote is possessing him. There is also Curt Connors who dies at the hands of Reaver as well. And basically anyone that happens to encounter the symbiote when they're hungry.
- Character Title: Spidey, duh.
- Face–Monster Turn: Spider-Man, although the symbiote claims to not have any effect on Peter, it actually does bring out the worst in him.
- Fallen Hero: Spider-Man, it's what the story is about. Following him as he seeks revenge and further unrolls.
- Spontaneous Crowd Formation: During the fight with Otto a crowd suddenly forms around the neighborhood to gawk along with a news crew. This is also the moment when Peter's Secret Identity is revealed.
