The Story takes place in the Star Wars Expanded Universe, several years after the Battle of Endor. Palpatine and Vader have been killed, the Empire is in tatters, and the New Republic is on the rise and the Jedi order is coming back. All seems to be going the same as it usually was in the E.U. That is until the New Republic gets a call, informing them of an army of Orcs, Stormtroopers, and Battle Droids from the Clone Wars. It would seem that after several years since the Empire received a beating at Endor they decided to strike back.
Out for revenge, the Empire desperately wants to reclaim what they own. That being the Galaxy at large. The only problem is they only control a small portion of what was once the Empire. Everything else is owned by the New Republic. At this point the Imperial Remnant acknowledges that it is not strong enough to fight the Republic head on. Instead they rely on Admiral Thrawn and his charts and maps of the Unknown regions. With this the Imperials set off with a plan to conquer new worlds in this region. With a new Sith Lord at the helm, Darth Satanas, the Empire hopes to strike back or die trying. Currently, the crossover includes Naruto, Rosario + Vampire, Bleach, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Eragon, Discworld, Xiaolin Showdown, Animorphs, Hetalia: Axis Powers, Overlord, Fullmetal Alchemist and more to come.
Tropes:
- Alien Invasion: Form the point of view of planets in the Unknown regions who never achieved space flight or exploration seeing the Imperial Remnant invade their planet seems like this.
- Attack Drones: Vultures droids from the old CIS are still being used by the Imperial Remnant.
- Badass Army: It's still the badass Imperial army from Star Wars but now it got even better with Orcs and Confederate technology.
- Call-Back: References to the past are constantly made. Specially to the Battle of Endor that started it all.
- Casual Interstellar Travel: Given that it's Star Wars hyperspace allows them to travel across lightyears in mere seconds.
- Child Soldiers:
- Satanas makes note of this on Naruto's world and finds it strange. Note he doesn't condemn them for it as he is seen preparing Naruto as a Sith later on but it is something uncommon in the galaxy.
- Later we see the Empire recruiting students from Yokai Academy into their Stormtrooper corps. Given its a high school they fall into trope or at least Teenagers with Attitude.
- Choke Holds: Given the Sith are around Force Chokes ensue. Satanas executes one Republic officer this way.
- Clone Army: It's still unclear if the stormtroopers are still humans or clones or mixed.
- Curb-Stomp Battle:
- Averted in the Second Chapter where Naruto and the other Shinobi out up a decent fight and repel the Empire albeit high causalities.
- Played straight in Chapter 4 with Rosario + Vampire. The Empire's superior military overwhelms the Yokai and curb stomp them, including several high ranking vampires.
- Dawn of an Era: I takes place in the Star Wars E.U. More over in takes place in the New Republic era after the original Empire has been almost crushed and the New Republic is supreme.
- The Empire: The Imperial Remnant, though as the name suggests it's only a shadow of its former glory.
- Expanded Universe: This takes place not during any of the actual films, but during the Star Wars Expanded Universe, which is now dubbed Legends.
- Frontline General: Satanas is in charge of the Navy yet is seen leading most of the battles the Empire has been in that we have seen.
- Hidden Army Reveal:
- The first chapter has the Imperials burst in for a surprise attack on the Republic outpost of Polis masa.
- They were also not counting on Orcs or battle droids.
- Lowered Recruiting Standards: Satanas remarks several times that the Empire is lacking troops and will take just about anybody they can put into a Stormtrooper outfit and throw on the battle field. This is one of the reasons he wants to conquer the Unknown Regions.
- Old Soldier: General Veers who is well known from his role in Empire is still going at it. He even fought in the Clone Wars. Gilad Pellaeon too.
- Orbital Bombardment: In chapter 4 on the Rosario Vampire planet. The Empire takes out Alucard this way after immobilizing him.
- Permission to Speak Freely: Satanas gives this to an officer criticizing him on Mustafar only for that to be a blatant lie and shot the officer through the head.
- Pretext for War: Despite the many minor wars or skirmishes the Remnant is causing such as those on Naruto's world they seem to be prepping for war with the New Republic which is the main reason their expanding into the Unknown Regions. Similarly it seems the New Republic is preparing for a conflict as well since the Empire has been quiet ever since Daala failed to destroy the Jedi Academy on Yavin.
- Prevent the War: A rather interesting example where the Empire does this. It's to stop Brakiss and Kueller, two rouge Dark Jedi, from initialing a terror attack on the New Republic out of fear that the New Republic will blame them for the attack and declare war on them before they are ready.
- Rock Beats Laser: Despite the Empire having walkers, Stormtroopers, and droids armed with blasters the Shinobi still manage to repel them. Also see Wooden Ships Vs Iron Man below.
- Shocking Defeat Legacy: Both Imperial Remnant and New Republic remember the Battle of Endor greatly. The Imperials are still bitter about it.
- Space Cold War: Shades of this. The Imperial Remnant and the New Republic have been in what is basically an undeclared armistice for the moment. The New Republic currently ignores them for being not a big enough threat or problem at the moment but still wary of them and the Imperial Remnant is concerned about how much of a threat the New Republic currently views it seeing they could be crushed at any time.
- Nicknaming the Enemy: Stormtroopers still often call the New Republic the rebels. The New Republic is more prone to nicknaming their enemies with the Stormtroopers referred to as Stormies and bucketheads among others.
- Sociopathic Soldier:
- Satanas a Sith who takes glee in the chaos and battles.
- Then there's also the Orc's who are an entire warrior race as they were in the novels.
- The Strategist: Thrawn, who is famous for his skills at strategy and psychoanalyzing the enemy to strategize against them.
- War Fic: It's Star Wars, and thus naturally this applies.
- Vestigial Empire: This is what the Galactic Empire has now become. It is struggling to survive and is now called the Imperial Remnant instead of the Galactic Empire.
- War for Fun and Profit: Satanas for the most part seems to love war and gleefully takes part in the slaughter it brings. He also makes note especially on the Naruto world that they wish to invade these places for profits and resources for their war machine.
- Wooden Ships and Iron Men:
- The Imperial Remnant attacks the Naruto planet with Star Destroyers and advanced blasters while Naruto's world doesn't even have guns.
- Rock Lee also lampshades this when he sees a star destroyer and replies that the most advanced warship is wave country's wooden ships.
