Second Chances

Everyone is back in the past with their memories up until the moment they died. With the help of one another, they piece together the puzzle, which is the future and work to avoid it.
But fear lingers in the air with the Qishan Wen Sect back at full power and the Yiling patriarch roaming around amongst them.
There's still hope that things will work out...if everyone will cooperate.
Second Chances provides examples of:
- Ascended Extra: Most minor characters who died before the the series started easily count as this. Special mention goes to Qingheng-Jun, who after getting a second chance in life decides to come out of his self-imposed seclusion to run his Sect properly in response to Wen Ruohan's burning of Cloud Recesses in the future.
- Big Brother Instinct: Gender-flipped for Jiang Yanli. As it turns out dying while thinking the whole world is against your brother is a surefire way to turn her into one if she wasn't already one previously. This time around she's determined not to let her brothers relationship deteriorate to the point it did before by even going as far as to learn about politics.
- Broken Pedestal: Jin Zixuan towards his father. Being Happily Married to Jiang Yanli in the future, he soon became rather disgusted with his father's lecherous ways even if his parents marriage was only one of convenience. Not only is it severely disrespectful to his mother but he also uses it as a means to skip out and ignore his sect duties.
- Easily Forgiven: Jin Zixuan mentioned that he was previously rather bitter that Wei Ying's ghost general killed him, especially after hearing how his death affected his mother. However, after time passed and thinking back on it, he realized that Wei Ying was genuinely shocked and horrified when Wen Ning killed him, as it wasn't his decision and he wasn't in complete control.
- Faking Amnesia: At first Wei Ying thought it was All Just a Dream before realizing it wasn't and still not wanting it to end, he pretended he didn't remember anything. However, it's later revealed that he was faking all along.
- Happily Married: Jin Zixuan and Jiang Yanli in the future. Upon retaining their memories of the future, they're both ecstatic at meeting each other again.
- Mental Time Travel: The whole story is based on the question of what if every character that died previously in the series retained their memories, with massive canon divergences quickly following.
- Peace Conference: The five Sects were forced to have one after regaining their memories up until their deaths. They needed to piece together what happened in the future with the memories they had, discuss Wen Ruohan's attempted conquest over all the Sects, and Wei Wuxian. Suffice to say, it was a tense meet up.
- Peggy Sue: Featuring most of the cast.
