All Might actually dedicates himself to becoming a better teacher, and decides to train more than just his successor before U.A. As he prepares for the future, plans by the Commission and All For One are put into motion that will ultimately rock the nation.

Revolution In Green is a My Hero Academia fanfic written by Zarconath. The fic is a retelling of the My Hero Academia story with All Might attempting to be a better and much more competent teacher. The fic also shows several divergences from canon compared to the main canon storyline.

It can be read here

This fanfiction has the following examples of:

  • Adaptational Early Appearance:
    • In canon, Gentle Criminal and La Brava show up at U.A. School Festival Arc, here they appear before Izuku starts attending U.A.
    • Several students such as Kyoka, Ochako, Sen, Yosetsu, all appear much earlier than in canon.
    • The Hero Public Safety Commission is show up much earlier as well.
    • Sir Nighteye shows up much earlier compared to canon and helps train Izuku alongside Gran Torino during his internship.
  • Adaptational Heroism:
    • After All For One's demise, Oboro was able to awaken and snap out of his Kurogiri persona and after finding out what happened, forms the League of Vigilantes to make amends for his actions.
    • In canon, Twice and Mr. Compress are members of the League of Villains. Here, they are members of the League of Vigilantes.
  • Adaptational Jerkass:
    • Bakugo started off as a massive Jerkass in canon, but his journey throughout U.A. humbled him enough to accept his shortcomings and even apologize to Izuku. However, because he decided to change his decision and enrolled into Shiketsu, Bakugo didn't undergo any of his canon Character Development and his ego only gets even worse. This is made apparent that when he meets Izuku again at the Sports Festival, he instead blames the green-haired for getting kidnapped by the League of Villains resulting in All Might using the last of his power to save him from All For One in their final battle, not willing to consider that the events that occurred were beyond Izuku's control.
    • Downplayed with Inko as while she does mean well, it takes her a long for her to accept Izuku's decision of becoming a hero and learning at U.A. and even confirmed to him that she doesn't believe in his chances of becoming a hero due to him being Quirkless. On top of that, she doesn't even trust U.A. to keep Izuku safe as she's so overprotective to the point of being a straight-up Knight Templar Parent that she would use any excuse to pull Izuku out of the school.
    • Neito Monoma is even worse here than in canon as his Irrational Hatred of Class 1-A is taken to the point where at the training camp, he has Manga burn down a forest during a exercise just so his class can "one-up" 1-A. He's even more antagonistic towards Izuku after it's revealed that he's All Might's successor, seeing that he'll completely overshadow his entire class and firmly believes that he "hurt" Iida when it was a landslide that did.
  • Adaptational Name Change:
    • Instead of Deku, Izuku chooses Bastion for his hero name.
    • Kyoka decides that her hero name be Heartsong.
    • Yosetsu chooses to be called Synthesis instead of Welder.
    • Sen picks the name, Helix Strike, instead of Spiral.
    • Bakugo decides to go with King as his hero name instead of Dynamight.
  • Adaptational Relationship Overhaul:
    • Izuku and Kyoka don't have many interactions together in canon before Kyoka asked for Izuku's help in organizing her notes for the Cultural Festival, only becoming closer afterwards but only to the level of friends. Here, Kyoka becomes Izuku's First Friend instead of Ochako and the two later underwent a Relationship Upgrade.
    • Mina and Eijiro are close friends in canon with moments of Ship Tease in-between. Here, they're already a couple.
    • Tenya is one of Izuku's best friends in canon. However, after Stain killed Tenya's brother, Tensei, and the Hero Killer declaring that Izuku is a true hero was caught on video, Tenya begins to secretly resent Izuku after the boy "ruined" his attempt of getting Stain killed by "letting himself get kidnapped". Tenya ignored Izuku for a long while until the training camp where they were assigned to work together in a training exercise, where Tenya continued to ignore Izuku until the latter touched him which resulted in the spectacled boy outright yelling at him.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Izuku's father, Hisashi Midoriya, has been The Ghost for the most part in canon. Here, he works for the immoral Hero Public Safety Commission and is not afraid to strike deals with people like Garaki to further his goals.
  • Ascended Extra:
    • Kyoka is a side character at best in canon. Here, she's one of the main characters and plays a major role in the story.
    • Sen and Yosetsu are side characters who are rarely seen onscreen due to them being in Class 1-B. They are apart of the story's main cast due to them being apart of Class 1-A in this fic.
  • Broken Pedestal: Bakugo initially planned on entering U.A. to become a hero, seeing it as the sacred ground where All Might learned and studied from. When he finds out that they're accepting Izuku, he drops it and decides to enroll at Shiketsu instead.
  • Death by Adaptation:
    • Rather than being permanently crippled, Tensei dies in his enounter with Stain.
    • Stain himself gets killed after being impaled by a Nomu.
    • Vlad King dies during the raid at Kamino.
    • Tomura Shigaraki bites the dust after Izuku accidently hits his neck very hard.
    • In canon, All For One is sent to Tartarus after his fight against All Might in Kamino. Here, All Might kills him for good.
    • Flect Turn dies after Overhaul has him die by choking.
    • Re-Destro gets killed by Overhaul.
  • Foil: Inko Midoriya and Mika Jiro are both mothers of children who wish to become Pro Heroes. However, the differences between them is that Inko is a Knight Templar Parent who is overprotective of her son, Izuku, to such a degree that she's willing to remove him from U.A. at the slightest excuse that U.A.'s security isn't as good as it claims to be. Mika, on the other hand, has accepted Kyoka's decision of becoming a hero and while she does worry about the safety of her daughter, Kyoka, she also understands that learning to defend against villains is part of the job description of becoming a hero, something that both she and her husband have accepted.
  • I Reject Your Reality: After One For All was revealed to the world and how only Quirkless individuals can safely use the Quirk, Re-Destro completely brushes it over, claiming that statement is a lie to keep other Quirked individuals from getting their hands on the Quirk. He and the rest of the MLA plan to either have Izuku join their cause or torture him to give up the Quirk to them so that they can use it for their own purposes.
  • Point of Divergence:
    • Katsuki decides against entering U.A. and instead went for Shiketsu's Hero course.
    • U.A. is switched to a dorm system at the beginning of the year instead of the middle of it.
    • A handful of students from Class 1-A and 1-B have been swapped compared to canon.
    • Unlike canon, some of the students intern with different heroes.
      • Ochako interns under Yoroi Musha instead if Gunhead.
      • Kyoka interns with Gang Orca instead of Death Arms.
    • Izuku gets kidnapped by the villains instead of Bakugo which later resulted in the Kamino Arc occurring much early.
    • The organisation, Humarise, showing up in Japan.
    • With the League of Villains now finished, no one attacks the U.A. training camp.
  • Reforged into a Minion: Garaki converts both Stain and Toga into chimeras to serve as enforcers for the HPSC.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Both Izuku and Hisashi are related to the President of the HPSC, Takako Fujiwara, with Izuku being her niece and Hisashi being her brother.
  • Rewarded as a Traitor Deserves: After Katashi Oh is fired from the HPSC due to his actions ruining the goals that the organization had in mind, he goes to the Meta Liberation Army in hopes of seeking revenge against the people who "wronged him". He gives Re-Destro a small data stick containing everything that the HPSC knows. His reward? Re-Destro uses his Quirk to grab his head and snap his neck.
  • Ship Tease: Several.
    • Izuku and Kyoka.
    • Sen and Setsuna.
    • Yosetsu and Mei.
