Reboot provides examples of:
- Bad Future: At some point Gabriel (whom Marinette learns the secret identity of) finally gets the Ladybug and Black Cat miraculouses and wishes for the return of his wife, setting off a chain reaction that leads to The End of the World as We Know It. It is so serious that Master Fu sends Marinette’s soul back in time to her thirteen-year-old self despite how dangerous time magic can be.
- Butterfly of Doom: Somehow, Marinette's alterations to the timeline have led to Adrien not escaping to their school like in the original timeline and instead, being sent to a boarding school across town.
- Dead Fic: Layla has since lost interest in Miraculous and refuses to write for a fandom that no longer provides inspiration.
- Married in the Future: in the Bad Future, Marinette had since learned of Chat Noir's secret identity and eventually married him.
- Peggy Sue: Marinette is sent back in time by Master Fu to prevent the The End of the World as We Know It, specifically into the body of her thirteen-year-old self the morning she gains her miraculous.
- Point of Divergence: Since Marinette has already experienced everything before, of course, things turn out differently.
- Since she already knew how to use her powers before, she did not make the mistake of overlooking Stoneheart's Akuma, preventing him from becoming akumatized a second time. Even more so, she recommends Ivan write Mylene a letter instead of singing to her, preventing further emotional fallout.
- Trust Password: Master Fu gave Marinette a series of words to tell his younger self to let him know that he sent her back in time.Master Fu: If you are from the future, what's the password?
