Raphie's Revenge is a fanfic based on One Piece hosted on Archive of Our Own.

In it, Tony Tony Chopper and Monkey D. Luffy both receive the hot toy of the year on Christmas, Raphie, the Terrific Talkin' Raven. But when Robin gives Chopper a Furby Baby named May-May for New Year's and starts playing with her more, trouble starts brewing...

Examples, caw-caw caw-caw:

  • Big Eater: Luffy has an entire table of food to himself at Christmas dinner and can apparently eat 8 extra-large pizzas and 14 jumbo hotdogs at Bill E. Badger's.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Multiple times in the story, Raphie says that Chopper "abandoned" him, when he had only been giving more attention to May-May over the course of a few days.
  • Faux Furby: Momo the Fluffby from the in-universe TV special The Toys who Saved Christmas.
  • Hostile Animatronics: The band at Bill E. Badger's once Raphie hijacks them.
  • Manchild: The cover implies the story takes place after the Time Skip. Luffy, who would be 19, acts rather childish, with his letter to Santa being written in red crayon and almost illegible, not to mention being excited at the prospect of visiting a Suck E. Cheese's.
  • Mood Whiplash: The story starts out rather tame, before becoming a pseudo-thriller when Raphie goes berserk.
  • Nigh-Invulnerable: Luffy's Raphie can apparently survive being thrown into a frozen pond with enough force to shatter all the ice. The other Raphies are also unfazed by Luffy's attacks.
  • Significant Anagram: "Dreyane" (as in the company that produces Raphie, the Terrific Talkin' Raven) is an anagram of "yandere", which is what the toys become when left alone for a span of time.
  • Suck E. Cheese's: Bill E. Badger's Pizza-Riffic and Hot Dog-Tastic Fun Center, complete with an animatronic band that Raphie ends up taking control of.
  • Vengeful Abandoned Toy: Chopper's Raphie threatens to destroy May-May, and later kill Chopper when Chopper grows bored of it.
  • Well-Intentioned Replacement: Doo-Boh the Furby Connect for Luffy's Raphie.
  • The Worm That Walks: At the climax, all the Raphies form a giant Raphie with Chopper's at the top to chase down Luffy, Chopper and May-May.
  • Yandere: Chopper's Raphie stalks Chopper and takes over the animatronics at Bill E. Badger's, threatens to destroy May-May, who he thinks Chopper abandoned him for, and later decides If I Can't Have You… no toy can.
