When he was four, he was diagnosed Quirkless. After that, his life took a turn for the worse. After a few weeks of being ignored, neglected, beaten up by his twin sister Izumi, and former childhood friend turned bully Katsuki Bakugou, combined with finding out that his father, Toshinori Yagi, is All Might and wanted him to be normal, he runs away.
From there, he is found by a ARC soldier named Hisashi Midoriya and taken under his wing. Now an ARC Captain, he is assigned to protect the hero students of UA, reuniting with his long-lost family, unintentionally getting a harem and uncovering a secret plot to destroy all heroes.

All Might is aware he made a mistake in this, and is trying to mend the fences with his estranged son. Bakugou, on the other hand, still believes Izuku is a quirkless ant he can crush.
- The 1B students view Izuku favorably, with Monoma admitting that Izuku is not a bad guy.
- On the other hand, both Ochako and Momo hold little regard for Bakugou after the Attempted Rape.
- Inko and Hisashi never met, being two random people to each other.
- Adaptational Superpower Change:
- Izuku remains Quirkless in the fic.
- His twin sister, Izumi, gets One for All combined with her telekinesis quirk.
- All Amazons Want Hercules: All the girls, including the heroes and heroes-in-training, want Izuku because of his muscular appearance. The moment he goes in shirtless in his fight against Itsuka, she is left a blushing mess upon seeing him before she snaps out of it.Itsuka (thinking): Oh no, he's hot!
- Attempted Rape: When Izuku and Momo catch Bakugou trying to rape Ochako, Izuku viciously knocks Bakugou out and takes Ochako to Recovery Girl while Momo rushes off to get a teacher.
- Berserk Button: Bakugou is this for Izuku, and vice versa. The tension is so thick, you can cut it with a knife. Monoma sums it up thusly in the Cavalry battle to Bakugou.Monoma: My, my, you really don't like Midoriya do you? Does it make you sad knowing that even though he's quirkless, he's still a better person and hero then you? Or are you jealous that your girlfriend seems to be getting closer to him?
- Bodyguarding a Badass: Izuku is hired by his father, All Might, to act as his bodyguard when he and Izumi goes to I-Island. He reluctantly agrees and takes his job seriously.
- Broken Pedestal: Upon hearing what Izuku had to endure, Shoto loses a lot of respect for All Might.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Izuku vs. Shinso ended very quickly in Izuku's favor, being one of the quickest fights in UA Sports Festival history.
- Death by Adaptation: Hisashi died in a mission saving kids from a villain group.
- Everybody Has Standards: Midnight may be the R-Rated Heroine who acts like the pinnacle of every man's wet dream, but upon hearing what Bakugou tried to do to Ochako, she is filled with livid fury and threatens Bakugou with expulsion if he tries that stunt with Ochako or any woman in UA again.
- Feeling Oppressed by Their Existence: Bakugou despises Izuku for his Quirklessness status, viewing his position as an ARC Captain as insulting to him. Monoma is able to figure out that Bakugou cannot stand Izuku at all and uses it to his advantage to force Bakugou to focus on him.
- Foil: All Might and Bakugou both have mistreated and hurt Izuku terribly back when he was four. Upon their reunification, All Might begins to try and mend the fences with Izuku, feeling nothing but immense regret at how he treated Izuku. Bakugou, on the other hand, hasn't changed at all, acts like he's The Chosen One, and has no qualms attempting murder on Izuku in full view of an audience, despite the fact that if he succeeded, everyone would call for his removal from heroics.
- Groin Attack: During Izuku's No-Holds-Barred Beatdown on Bakugou, he punches Bakugou in the groin, eliciting a pained scream from the blonde.
- Hate at First Sight: Izuku and Bakugou loathe each other. It's to a point where everyone knows the two will try to kill each other if they know they can get away with it.
- Implied Death Threat: Upon the first reunification, Bakugou tries to act like he did, only for Izuku to pull out his weapon and point it to Bakugou's chest, causing all of 1A to shiver.Izuku: Go ahead and try it. I'll put a blaster bolt straight through your heart, you sorry excuse of a hero.
- In Spite of a Nail:
- Iida still seeks out Stain, despite Izuku telling him that revenge is a dangerous game.
- Bakugou still loathes Izuku for his Quirkless status.
- Izuku and Bakugou are still paired up for the final exam against All Might, alongside Izumi.
- Izuku ends up going to I-Island, though as a bodyguard for All Might.
- Jerkass Has a Point: While Monoma is an ass much like canon, he is right in telling Bakugou that Izuku, despite being Quirkless, is more hero material than him.
- Love at First Sight: Every girl views Izuku as a nice gentleman, a charming fellow, a kick-ass combatant and a very protective man.
- Luminescent Blush: Many girls become utterly smitten with Izuku throughout the course of the fic.
- Izuku tends to blush whenever a woman gets very close to him - often thanking the fact he can wear his helmet to avoid people seeing the blushing ARC Captain.
- Mass "Oh, Crap!": The whole audience watching the Izuku vs. Bakugou fight become alarmed when Izuku starts using live rounds on Bakugou, while Bakugou is also trying to kill Izuku as well.
- No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Izuku snaps and attacks Bakugou like an animal when Bakugou says no one would care for 'a quirkless loser like him, as without a quirk, he'll never beat him'. That nearly costs him his life.
- Nosebleed:
- All the 1A girls and Nejire are tricked by Mineta and Kaminari (well, the 1A girls, Nejire joined in) to do a cheerleading stunt, causing Izuku, Bakugou, Shoto, Tamaki, and a couple others to have nosebleeds from the sight.
- When Izuku walks into his fight with Itsuka shirtless, all the women are either hopelessly in love, given nosebleeds or are blushing immensely at the sight of this muscular warrior.
- "Not So Different" Remark: Upon finding out what happened to Izuku, Shoto wonders if he and Izuku really aren't any different from each other. One of his classmates even mentioned the two could be great friends for how cold they were.
- Only Sane Man: Izumi is the only one who is able to see through the lie Kaminari and Mineta came up with. The fact all of the girls of 1A were all smitten with her estranged twin brother doesn't do her any favors.
- Point of Divergence: Yep.
- Inko is married to All Might instead of Hisashi and had twins. While Izuku remains Quirkless, Izumi has a powerful telekinesis Quirk and is later given One for All, causing Izuku to run away from home and be found by Hisashi. He is then taken in by the man and later becomes an ARC Captain.
- Ochako dates Bakugou in the beginning because he promises to make them rich. She only stops dating him when he tried to rape her.
- During the blockade, Izuku calls out the students claiming it was easy and showed them the scars on one of his arms. This causes the students to realize that 1A was just lucky to avoid being killed by the villains.
- Izuku's relationship with all the students is changed. 1B students hold immense respect for him, including Monoma, while he holds deep contempt for Mineta and Kaminari for their perverted antics, Izumi over his grudge against his family, and outright hates Bakugou.
- The Sports Festival ends with Izuku getting first, Bakugou getting second, and everyone knowing that Bakugou was lucky not to get a blaster bolt in the head.
- Izuku interns with Miruko, instead of Gran Torino (who Izumi takes on as her mentor).
- Izuku is paired up with his twin sister and Bakugou against All Might, but was still able to etch out a win due to battlefield tactics and experience.
- Polyamory: Given how charming he is, every woman would gladly marry him. The total confirmed people in the group is Mt. Lady, Miruko, Mandalay, Pixie-Bob, Ragdoll, Midnight, Ochako, Momo, Yui, Ibara, Nejire, Melissa and Fuyumi, and it's heavily implied more would gladly date him.
- Public Execution: Narrowly subverted in the Sports Festival. After brutally pulverizing Bakugou to a bloody pulp, he pulled out one of his guns and pressed it to Bakugou's skull, eager to end his life. It took Midnight shouting for him to stop to realize what he was about to do.
- Refusal of the Call: When Izuku tells them that offering One for All will not change his mind, that he will win the Sports Festival with his guns and fists, All Might, Nezu and Izumi are left stunned.
- Rise to the Challenge: Bakugou tells Izuku to not try the villain challenge on I-Island to beat his score. Izuku does so to spite the dickhead and gets first place, much to Bakugou's anger.
- Scars Are Forever: Izuku has loads of scars everywhere, including two below his right eye.
- The Scream: Bakugou releases a blood-curdling scream when Izuku snaps the bastard's wrists, causing everyone to be left in Stunned Silence.
- Series Continuity Error: Early in the fic, the narration states Inko ate herself to death after Izuku ran away, Toshinori confirming so when he first runs into Izuku again. Later on though, Inko is shown to be alive and watching the Sports Festival with Toshinori, Izuku noticing both of them, and no mention is made of the fact she's supposed to be dead. And while Izumi later mentions Inko in the past tense and reiterates she's dead, Toshinori when talking to Gran Torino speaks of her in the present tense and suggests she's still alive.
- Ship Tease: Shoto and Natsuo openly tease Fuyumi for being in love with Captain Midoriya. Fuyumi is left a blushing mess.
- Skewed Priorities: When Endeavor and Izuku chat and Izuku asks why he wanted to surpass his father if he was mistreating his family, the first thing Enji wonders is if Captain Midoriya really is All Might's son.
- Suspiciously Specific Denial: When Izuku asks Shoto why he needed to know what his favorite food was, Shoto says no reason while texting Fuyumi what Izuku's favorite food is.
- What the Hell, Hero?:
- After Izuku ran away, Gran Torino gave a scathing one to All Might for being such an idiot with his son.
- Izuku gives one to the students outside the 1A classroom, outright calling them glory hounds who act like the spotlight is more important than anything, even though 1A was in a villain attack, where they could've died. Tetsutetsu later apologizes to Izuku for it.
- Izuku gives one to Iida for trying to seek out Stain in vengeance, as he knew from personal experience that revenge is a dangerous game.
- All the girls of 1A give one to Izumi upon finding out why Izuku despises her and her father so much.
- You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: Both Bakugou and Izuku feel like this when they encounter each other on I-Island, with neither happy to see each other.
