Owl House Prime is a fanfiction story combining the worlds of The Owl House and Transformers: Prime. Set in-between "King's Tide" and "Thanks to Them", it follows Luz and her friends from the Boiling Isles when they're trapped on Earth, only to get caught up in the galactic war between the Autobots and Decepticons.

This fic displays examples of:

  • Adaptational Badass: The presence of Energon allows Luz to use her glyphs when away from a supply of Titan's Blood, allowing her to contribute to fights on Earth she couldn't have in canon.
    • Similarly, M.E.C.H. manages to allow their Nemesis Prime to use glyphs after stealing some from Luz.
  • Adaptation Expansion: The Autobots have Jazz as a member of "Team Prime", while the Decepticon roster has Brawl, Thundercracker, and Skywarp.
    • In the equivalent of Darkmount, NV,When Shockwave returns to the Decepticons, he is accompanied by Shatter and Dropkick.
    • In Scattered, Ultra Magnus is accompanied by Jetfire, Ironhide, and Elita One.
  • Anti-Magic: When Hunter tries to use his Flash Step trick to get closer to the Megatron-possessed Bumblebee, the Decepticon leader's Dark Energon shard suddenly glows and Hunter's power shuts down before he can use it. In "Shadowzone" it's confirmed that Dark Energon cancels out magic when Amity tries to hit the undead Skyquake with an Abomination fist and it falls apart when the Dark Energon inside the Terrorcon glows. While running, the Hexsquad theorizes that it's because as the opposite of Energon, the blood of the Cybertronian god Primus, the blood of Unicron cancels out magic in contrast to Energon being able to power glyphs.
  • Arbitrary Skepticism: When he hears about Ratchet and Optimus fighting a horde of undead Cybertronians, Hunter admits that he never thought that zombies would be real. This is despite him coming from a realm of magic and monsters.
  • Ascended Extra: The blond-haired cheerleader with the pink streak, Masha, and Vee's other two camp friends feature prominently in "Speed Metal".
  • Background Magic Field: The reason that Luz can use her glyphs on Earth in this story is that Energon is similar enough to Titan's Blood that her glyphs can use the ambient energy from it as a power source. Dark Energon, in contrast, actually neutralizes magic.
  • Composite Character: The Hexsquad takes on the role that the canon Team Prime did, with parallels between several characters (though some are split as well).
  • Crossover: Chapter 39 titled Calamity Tunnel has the Luz, Amity, and Willow travel to California instead of New York to look for one of the Cybertronian relics and meeting Ann, Sasha, and Marcy from Amphibia.
  • Cunning Linguist: The reason given that Hunter is able to understand Bumblebee is that he studied numerous languages during his time in the Emperor's Coven, so he can easily parse what the Autobot is trying to say.
  • Death by Adaptation:
    • Brawl is killed by Arachnid instead of Breakdown.
    • Hot Shot takes Seaspray's place as the Wrecker killed by Dreadwing.
    • The Rescue Bots and Jacob are killed by Shatter and Dropkick.
  • Decomposite Character:
    • Raf's ability to understand Bumblebee and his tech skills are split between Hunter and Vee, respectively.
    • The test for the Dark Energon is a random Autobot corpse the Decepticons were using as a trophy rather than Cliffjumper in this AU.
    • Since Wheeljack is already a member of Team Prime when the story starts, his role in "Con Job" is given to Seaspray. Thundercracker is also the one who stops Starscream from killing him instead of Soundwave.
    • Breakdown and Bulkhead's roles as Decepticon prisoner of M.E.C.H. and Autobot rescuer go to Wildrider and Wheeljack, respectively.
    • Bulkhead's role in "Rock Bottom" is taken up by Cliffjumper.
    • The episode "Tunnel Vision" is renamed "Calamity Tunnel" as Luz, Amity, and Willow meet the Calamity Trio instead of the subway maintenance worker Mogul.
  • Dramatic Irony:
    • Early on, Willow says that it's too bad that there's no one on Earth who knows what the witches trapped on Earth are going through. Obviously this is before she meets the Autobots.
    • When Luz sees a stain on Arcee (who is incognito in vehicle mode at the time), she cleans it off for her. Arcee, noting how nice the gesture was, assumes that the girl has a lot of human friends when the truth is the exact opposite.
  • Family of Choice: Discussed by Hunter and Vee with Ratchet and Jazz in "Out of His Head".
  • Fusion Fic: Combines the worlds of Transformers Prime and The Owl House.
  • History Repeats:
    • Luz notes that Arcee trying to push her away to protect her from Airachnid is similar to what happened with Eda when the Day of Unity approached.
    • Similarly, she and Hunter note the similarities between Bumblebee using a Cortical Psychic Patch on Megatron and their inadvertent trip into Belos's mind.
  • Interquel: The story takes place in-between "King's Tide" and "Thanks to Them".
  • Loose Lips: The kids learn where the Decepticons are keeping Fowler when Skywarp mentions it when planning to take them to the interrogation room as well. If what Cliffjumper says about how he was never good at keeping secrets is true, he has a habit of letting important info slip.
  • Named by the Adaptation: This fic gives the blond cheerleader with the pink streak in her hair is named Amy Brown, and Vee's other two friends from camp are called Emily and Luke.
  • Oh, My Gods!: Amity lets out a "Holy Titan" when she sees the Vehicons transform into robot mode.
  • Outside-Context Problem:
    • Both the Autobots and Decepticons are completely caught off-guard by the magical abilities of the Hexsquad, as they've never encountered anything like them before.
    • Even more so than the Cybertronians, M.E.C.H. is caught completely off-guard by the witches interfering in their theft of the Dingus, since they'd never even considered that magic and witches might be a factor.
  • Science Fantasy: Although the Transformers franchise is no stranger to the occasional fantasy element, the story has the Cybertronians discovering that actual magic exists as well through Luz and the Boiling Isles refugees. Energon is even found to have properties similar to magic, being the blood of a powerful being just like Titan's Blood from the Demon Realm, so Vee is able to drain it and Luz can use her glyphs when around it, while Dark Energon has the opposite effect on magic, glyphs or otherwise.
  • Ship Tease:
    • Gus really wants Seaspray to pick Skara as a companion so they can hang out more after they manage to reconnect to the Isles, and he blushes when Willow points this out.
    • Vee blushes more than once around Masha.
  • Spared by the Adaptation:
    • Cliffjumper isn't killed in this story.
    • Breakdown also survives getting killed by Arachnid with Brawl taking his place.
    • Thanks to some encouraging words from Hunter, Dreadwing leaves the Decepticons rather than go back and try to kill Starscream only to be killed by Megatron.
  • Stop Hitting Yourself: In Chapter 10, Willow uses her vines to make Breakdown hit himself with his own hammer repeatedly.
  • Trapped in Another World: As in canon the witches are curently trapped on Earth, in a parallel to the Autobots being unable to go home.
  • Villain Takes an Interest: After the Hexasquad uses their magic to help foil M.E.C.H.'s theft of the Dingus, Silas is implied to be as interested in them as he is with the Cybertronians. Later, after getting some of her glyphs, he has their abilities incorporated into Nemesis Prime.
