Transformers: Of Bots and Men
is a Transformers AU story about how a Stone Age human ended up in control of the body of one of the deadliest female Decepticons.
Transformers: Of Bots and Men contains examples of:
- Arm Cannon: Massacre's most powerful attack is fusing both arms into a BFG called an Ion cannon.
- Brain Uploading: The little organic was used in an attempt to revive the fallen Decepticon Massacre, but ended up taking control of her body.
- Came Back Wrong: Using the little organic allows Shockwave to revive Massacre's body without issue, but the little organic's mind ends up surviving and taking control from Massacre's own consciousness.
- Didn't See That Coming: Unknown Unknowns example. As Shockwave points out when Megatron gets pissed at what happened with the attempt at reviving Massacre, he couldn't have known that the little organic could have taken over her offline processor like that. Megatron calms down a bit when he realizes that he's right, given that the process had never been tested, and side effects were to be expected.
- The Dragon: Before her demise thanks to Starscream's betrayal, the original Massacre was Megatron's second in command.
- Names to Run Away from Really Fast: The female Decepticon who calls herself "Massacre". After the little organic takes control of her body, she still uses the name until arriving on Earth and taking an alias, in part to help keep Massacre's original personality from taking over by stripping power from her.
- Something Only They Would Say: The little organic is able to prove that her consciousness has ended up in Massacre's body by telling Ratchet things that only the two of them would know.
- Ultimate Universe: Takes characters and events from several continuities, mainly Prime.
