One day, he takes an assignment to find a match for Eggsy Unwin, and encounters a problem: Eggsy can see him. Harry has to become Eggsy's friend in order to continue his mission, all the while keeping his true identity a secret.

- Aura Vision: As a Cupid, Harry is able to see the romantic potential auras of humans, which are color coded by how open they are to a romantic relationship. There are other branches of Cupids who can see familial and platonic relationship auras.
- Glamour Failure: Mortals aren't supposed to be able to actually process seeing Cupids like Harry, and none can, except for Eggsy, who sees him just as a regular human. It turns out that this is because Harry was intended to be Eggsy's love interest.
- Invisible to Adults: The only mortal who can properly see Harry other than Eggsy is Eggsy's little sister, Daisy. Daisy is able to see Harry because she’s a child.
- The Matchmaker: Harry is a Cupid who finds the perfect match for his targets by using his powers of manipulation to cause a Meet Cute and encourage them to fall in love.
- Meet Cute: As a Cupid, Harry is able to arrange first meetings for potential matches for his charge. He’s able to arrange it so that Amelia and Roxy meet when he spills a cup of coffee on one, and the other offers to lend some clean clothes.
- Merlin Sickness: After Harry starts to become mortal again, he deages from appearing to be in his fifties to appearing to be about thirty.
- Oblivious to Love: Harry is so focused on finding the perfect match for Eggsy that he fails to realize that the actual purpose of his mission was to have him fall in love with Eggsy, and that Eggsy is in love with him.
- Perception Filter: Mortals can see Harry, but they don't really process his presence, and he just seems extremely boring and uninteresting to them. The only exception to this is Eggsy, who can see Harry and views him as a regular person. This is because Harry and Eggsy are supposed to be together, and the perception filter blocking people from really acknowledging Harry goes away after he becomes a mortal again.
- Really 700 Years Old: It's unclear exactly how old Harry is, but he's been alive at least since the time when cars were known as the horseless carriage, and the story is set in the twenty-first century. He looks like he's in his fifties until he becomes a mortal again, and deages down to appearing to be about thirty.
- The Reveal: Near the end of the story, Harry discovers the truth about his assignment to find Eggsy's match, and why Eggsy can see him when he shouldn't be able to. He was intended to be Eggsy's love interest the entire time.
