Luz never imagined she would find a magical world of adventure. Imagine her shock when, in trying to escape the Boiling Isles, she found herself in another fantastical world full of sapient amphibians and another human girl there too. Soon, she, Anne, a real-life magical princess, and the princess’s mortal companion will find themselves in an adventure bigger than multiple worlds.
’’Multiverse Heroes: Magical Destinies’’ contains the following examples:
- Experienced Protagonist: Downplayed with Luz, who isn’t yet a magical superhero but has enough knowledge of magic to make a mortal and subdue a dangerous monster in Amphibia.
- Fusion Fic: The story features the Boiling Isles, Amphibia, and Mewni within the same setting, with people from Earth having gone to each one of them.
- Inept Mage: Downplayed with Luz, who created a working portal, only for it to send her to another world instead of Earth.
- Lethal Chef: Hop-Pop assures Anne and his grandchildren that Swamp Souffle tastes slightly better than it smells.
- Losing a Shoe in the Struggle: Luz lampshades Anne’s ability to walk around while missing a show, which Anne assures her is something she’s used to.
- Outside-Context Problem: The magic practiced in the Boiling Isles baffles Anne and the Plantars, who haven’t encountered the spells Luz can do.
