In science, butterflies have a more strict definition for classification than moths. Therefore, a moth is anything related that is not a butterfly.

is a My Hero Academia Horror Fan Fic by aconstantstateofbladerunner. It is the second installment of The Butterfly Continuity and the sequel of Butterfly.
This fanfiction assumes the reader has completed the first story. Thus, all spoilers for Butterfly will be unmarked.

- Blessed with Suck: Izuku is in no way ecstatic with the revelation of One For All granting him extra Quirks. After living through the nightmare of Butterfly and how his mind and body were corrupted with using multiple Quirks, the boy is distressed of the same thing happening to him.
- Dude, Not Funny!: Mina teases the notion of All Might having some romantic intentions with Inko during their trip to New York. Jiro firmly reminds her that Inko is a married woman.
- Existential Horror: Now that Izuku has been cursed with bearing Butterfly's memories, he constantly struggles with his own identity and whether he's truly himself or a corrupted version of himself.
- Family Drama: Izuku and his father Hizashi have had a very strained and conflicting relationship since Izuku was diagnosed as Quirkless. Inko is hoping to resolve their differences, or at least have them confront each other, by going to New York.
- I Shall Taunt You: Monoma shows No Sympathy towards Izuku during the Battle Trials as he brings up the Butterfly incident and how much trouble Izuku caused for everyone.
- In Medias Res: The story begins with Black Whip unleashing itself while Izuku is sleeping in his room.
- Internal Reveal: Izuku allows Aizawa to tell Bakugou the truth about Butterfly along with what happened during the final battle.
- Parental Substitute: Deconstructed and Played for Drama regarding Toshinori. The aged hero is fully aware of how him becoming Izuku's honorary "father" is crossing multiple boundaries with his real parents, including his biological father Hizashi who is technically still involved in their family life. It's also jarring for Inko who is aware of how much Toshi means to Izuku; it hurts her to know that she can't provide the same level of emotional security for her son compared to the Number One Hero. Especially after all the turmoil and suffering Izuku went through while dealing with Butterfly.
- Right for the Wrong Reasons: Bakugou accuses of Izuku being Butterfly based on his Secret Test of Character along with the explosive reveal of Black Whip. While he is right that Izuku does remember Butterfly attacking him, it's only because the villain succeeded in transferring his memories during the transfer.
- Secret Test of Character: When confronting Izuku, Bakugou uses the phrase he personally said towards Butterfly to get a reaction out of him and determine if the villain was successful with his Grand Theft Me scheme.
- Trauma Button: For Izuku, it's anyone saying that "he isn't worthy".
- Vacation Episode: All Might convinces Izuku, along with his mother, to come with him for a weeklong vacation in New York during their Christmas break.
