The Montage Cinematic Universe, or MCU for short, is a series of interconnected stories centered on the Equestria Girls series.
The short summary goes like this:
"The Montage Cinematic Universe (MCU) is the connected timeline for Bookish Delight's Equestria Girls stories, many of which involve Juniper Montage in some way because Bookish is her biggest fan by default."

- Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: In canon, Juniper and Wallflower are practically strangers. In this universe, the two become the best of friends.
- Alternate Universe: The biggest change in this universe is that, rather than heading to the background like most other Equestria Girls villains, Juniper Montage not only remains relevant, but becomes the Main character of the verse.
- Ascended Extra: Juniper Montage was a one-time Villain of the Movie Magic special, and pretty much disappeared from the franchise when the special ended. Here, she's the de-facto main character.
- In Spite of a Nail: The events of the first three Equestria Girls movies play out exactly the same, and it takes a little bit longer before things start truly diverging.
- Related in the Adaptation: Juniper and Vignette Valencia are cousins here, while there's no indication they're related in canon.
