After his transcripts were rejected by Beacon, Jaune decides to open a massage parlor in Vale. But despite not being a Hunstman, having customers from both Beacon and the criminal underwood will make for some interesting times for the up-and-coming masseur.

- Affably Evil:
- Roman is a thief, but he is genuinely fond of Jaune and commends his quality service.
- Neo also is fiercely protective of Jaune and threatens Cardin and his goons into not menacing the poor guy.
- Clingy Jealous Girl: Pyrrha becomes this toward Jaune. When she hears about Team NDGO planning to lure Jaune to Vacuo, she wails on Octavia especially viciously during their battle.
- Curbstomp Battle: Octavia of Team NDGO fights Pyrrha expecting an easy victory. She not only goes down quickly but needs to be sent to the nurse.
- Dogged Nice Guy: Oreo Uziel is a very harsh deconstruction of this type of character. He acts as if he and Pyrrha are together just because they are partners, but in reality, he is an obsessive creep with zero respect for Pyrrha's boundaries, and who drives Pyrrha to get as far away from him as possible.
- Fantastic Racism:
- Cardin tries to sabotage Jaune's shop just because Jaune has the nerve to treat and serve Faunus customers fairly.
- Roman has to prod a White Fang member not to target Jaune's parlor just because Jaune is a human.
- In Spite of a Nail: Despite not getting into Beacon, Pyrrha still meets Jaune and activates his aura (just with different circumstances).
- The Kindnapper: Nora frequently does this Jaune, absconding with him for benign reasons.
- Sheep in Sheep's Clothing: Glynda and Pyrrha initially think Elysium Oasis is just a front for an illicit establishment, like a brothel. To their pleasant surprise, it is a legitimate massage parlor.
- Slave to PR: As in canon, Pyrrha hates having to put on an image of perfection, which is why she likes being able to escape the limelight at Jaune's parlor.
- Slut-Shaming: To prove how much of an asshole he is, Cardin is happy to call Pyrrha a slut whenever he gets the chance, which not only infuriates Pyrrha but causes the school to think she is easy.
- So Beautiful, It's a Curse: Pyrrha gets a lot of unwanted attention from boys because of her looks, especially from her loathsome and obsessive partner Oreo.
- The Social Darwinist: Vacuan Huntsmen take this kind of view, viewing themselves as superior because they have to survive in a harsh environment, and look down at civilians, both from Vacuo and outside it, as weaklings unworthy of their attention.
