- Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Initially, instead of being the Loud's family pet at around the time the twins were 1, Charles is Lincoln's dog.
- Adopting the Abused: What ultimately happens to Lincoln.
- Angsty Surviving Twin: Lincoln used to have a twin sister named Liberty. Her death alongside their parents causes him much grief and even has Survivor's Guilt over it.
- Big Sister Instinct: The Loud sisters are all willing to do whatever it takes to keep one of their siblings safe. Lincoln's former foster brothers quickly learn this the hard way.
- Catapult Nightmare: Lincoln suffers from these for a while.
- Cool Big Sis: Luna (as well as most of the older Loud daughters) to Lincoln.
