The Girl Next Door

Mary Jane Watson lived an everyday life, but then her school Midtown High was almost destroyed. Things are beginning to change for the worse, she needs her friends, but the problem is that there going to a different school.
This fanfic contains the following examples:
- Abhorrent Admirer: Mary Jane does her best to try and avoid Flash Thompson and his advances.
- Ascended Extra: The focus of the story is giving Mary Jane's own experiences greater study.
- Berserk Button: Mary Jane cares a lot about her friends and is furious at Alistair for setting up Harry to get punished over the vibranium incident.
- Big "WHAT?!": Mary Jane lets out a "what" after hearing Harry got expelled for the Vibranium incident.
- Cool Teacher: Well headmaster, but Mary Jane finds Max Modell to be a wonderful teacher and is excited about his class.
- Dramatic Irony:
- When Peter goes missing during a crisis, Mary Jane thinks Spider-Man might be able to help her find him.
- Aunt Anna tells Mary Jane not to associate with Peter, thinking only a delinquent would be cutting class as much as he does.
- Mary Jane describes Norman Osborn as a reasonable and friendly man. Oh, boy is she in for a surprise.
- Girl Next Door: It is right there in the title, but Mary Jane lampshades her proximity to Peter and how this can affect their relationship.
- Undying Loyalty: Mary Jane is reluctant to leave behind Mr. Salermo and go to Osborn University.
