The fic has not been updated since 2020 with an author's note added in June 2021 promising to return off of hiatus in July of that year and the author was prewriting the remainder of Lost and Found's chapters to there could be weekly updates until completion.

Includes examples of:

  • Anger Born of Worry: When Miri Diana is reunited with Katarina, she at first scolds her for running away, but then breaks down into tears when she explains that Katarina's sudden disappearance destroyed her emotionally and that even if she doesn't always show it, she loves Katarina.
  • Beauty Equals Goodness: Invoked. Katarina is hit with a curse that makes her physical appearance match her soul. The idea on the caster's part is to make her ugly so that Gerald will call off their engagement. However, Katarina's soul is that of a somewhat pretty seventeen-year-old Japanese girl, so her appearance changes to match that.
  • Clueless Chick-Magnet: Katarina's ability to attract both genders of suitor doesn't abate just because she looks different. As "Chiharu Clark", she ends up accidentally seducing pretty much everyone in mid to late teens in her new town.
  • Contrived Coincidence: The assassin sent to kill Katarina gets bonked on the head and remembers his past life as a game developer for Fortune Lover. The game he is currently living in. And he got bonked on the head when Gerald stopped him from killing Katarina, another person with memories of her past life—received after a bonk on the head involving Gerald no less— and a fan of the game this man helped make.
  • Did Not Think This Through: Casting a curse on a royal fiancee in order to usurp her place really does not go well for Estella.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: When told that the curse may have turned Katarina into a man, Mary apparently starts daydreaming about her wedding to a male version of Katarina.
  • The Dreaded: Mary to the point where the Ministry interrogator threatens Estella into compliance by suggesting that Lady Hunt come to supervise.
  • Driven Mad from the Revelation: After the assassin sent after Katarina remembers his past life as a game developer for Fortune Lover, he spends his time in the dungeons pestering the guards about who Maria went to the graduation party with.
  • Drowning My Sorrows: Keith tries this, and manages to throw up on a nice girl at the bar who happens to be his missing sister.
  • Entertainingly Wrong: The assassin assumes that this world revolves around Maria, because that's the way he and his associates wrote it to be. He's unaware that Katarina also has knowledge of how the story was meant to go and managed to accidentally usurp Maria's role as the heroine.
    • He also guesses that since Katarina isn't dead or banished, Maria must have chosen Nicol, Alan, or Raphael. He has no clue that Maria chose Katarina.
    • Katarina, of course, assumes that her appearance changing back into her previous incarnation is another doom flag and will result in her execution as an impostor, which is why she runs and starts a life as a farmer. Naturally, even after Sophia figures out the Past-Life Memories business, her friends are still turning Sorcier upside-down looking for her.
  • Eyes Never Lie: While Katarina's appearance almost completely changes to that of Chiharu, she retains her Innocent Blue Eyes as opposed to Chiharu's brown.
  • Failed a Spot Check: While looking for his missing sister, who he knows has had her appearance altered, Keith doesn't look twice at the girl that falls out of a tree right into his lap. Called out later.
Mary: You saw a grown woman climbing trees and didn't even consider your sister?!!
  • False Reassurance: While Katarina assumes everyone will be fine with her vanishing in the night with nothing but a hastily written note to assure them she is fine, nobody actually is.
  • Forced Transformation: The cause of the plot; Katarina is cursed to look like her soul by a jealous rival, which naturally turns her back into the "monkey girl", causing her to panic.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Estella is very envious of the fact that Katarina is Gerald's fiancee and the future queen.
  • Named by the Adaptation: Katarina's identity in her previous life is given the name Chiharu Tanaka.
  • Oblivious to Love: Katarina genuinely expects to hear of an engagement between Gerald and Maria within a month after she leaves, and is unaware that the three people who offered to take her to the romantic festival were interested in her romantically.
  • Rage Breaking Point: When Gerald interrogates the assassin, the assassin's answers to his questions make him angry, but Gerald is able to keep his fury in check. The moment the assassin comments that Gerald would've killed Katarina too, Gerald reaches his limit and erupts in fury, to the point that his fire magic affects the temperature of the room and makes the metal bars he's holding swelter and bubble around his hands.
  • Silk Hiding Steel: Mary Hunt, as Estella Morel discovers much to her horror.
  • Single-Target Sexuality: Mary is not turned off by the idea that Katarina may have been turned into a man. In fact, she's nearly drooling, since that means she can likely marry her male version.
  • Wrong Genre Savvy: The assassin assumes that Katarina is Gerald's Disposable FiancĂ© to be cast aside in favor of Maria because he wrote her to be, not realizing the story has changed and Gerald is very much in love with Katarina.
